Elon Musk pledges to be midterm difference-maker

The Calvin Coolidge Project X account reports that Elon Musk plans on being a difference-maker in this fall's midterms. According to the tweet, "Elon Musk is expected to spend between $100 million and $200 million to support Republicans in the 2026 midterm elections. The spending is expected to focus on voter turnout in key battleground states , including the Texas Senate Race to help Ken Paxton." 🚨Report: Elon Musk is expected to spend between $100 million and $200 million to support Republicans in the 2026 midterm elections The spending is expected to focus on voter turnout in key battleground states, including the Texas Senate Race to help Ken Paxton Via: The Wired pic.twitter.com/oY6akbmrsX — The Calvin Coolidge Project (@TheCalvinCooli1) August 20, 2026 This is a major boost to the GOP GOTV operation. In 2024, Musk's megabucks turned a semi-close race into a Trump rout. This year, Musk's megabucks won't turn this into a rout. It might turn a toss-up ra...

The REAL Amy Klobuchar

Image
True to form, Amy Klobuchar is everywhere. That's what she does in election years. When she isn't running, you can't find St. Amy of Hennepin County (my nickname for Sen. Klobuchar) if your life depended on it. Recently, she announced that, if elected governor, she'd order an audit of state agencies, supposedly to eliminate fraud. That's a nice first step but it comes with a question. Why didn't she do anything about pervasive fraud in the FEDERAL government? If she thinks that Minnesota fraud is bad, how would she characterize fraud in the federal government? St. Amy's record on federal fraud doesn't exist. That's because she didn't lift a finger on it. Now, she wants to portray herself as the great fraud fighter? She has a 20-year history of what she'd do to fight federal fraud. That record is empty. This thing that she’s doing now is just an act. Lisa Demuth nailed it in this tweet: The victims here are real. The Walz administration’s fai...

Once upon a time in Sophie Cunningham's world

Image
Once upon a time, in a land ruled by WNBA superstar Sophie Cunningham, a wicked witch visited Sophie's kingdom. The name of the wicked witch was changed to protect the wicked witch. In this fairy tale, the wicked witch's name was Julie Papinoe. According to this clever, well-written article , written by Andrew Fox and published by PJ Media, the WNBA "was a wonderfully complicated kingdom, but the players wanted to get paid." Imagine that. Players stayed fit at least 10 months each, took risks to their bodies, then asked they get paid for the skill they showed and the risks to their health they took You'd almost think that the C-Word (Capitalism) had broken out in Sophie Cunningham's Kingdom! Imagine that. Socialism suddenly took a nosedive. But that isn't the end of the story. Things get far more sordid after that. According to Fox, 2 men volunteered to guard the WNBA's henhouse. According to Fox, "Then came a knock at the door. Everyone turned. T...

Amy Klobuchar promises results, gives few results

Image
When I read this MPR article , I couldn't stop laughing. This couldn't be real statements from Sen. Klobuchar . According to the article, Klobuchar said "Because as governor, I don't like the status quo. I want to transform this state." I must be daydreaming. Sen. Klobuchar saying that she doesn't "like the status quo" is like Jack the Ripper saying that he doesn't like fine cutlery. It just doesn't fit the person. She's been in DC for 20 years. She's never chief-sponsored a significant piece of legislation either. She's the definition of status quo. Further into the article, MPR quotes Sen. Klobuchar as saying "I will deliver those results. I've done it as senator, and I will do it as your governor." She's also quoted as saying "I want to transform this state." In 2008, then-Sen. Obama said this: Now, the DSA wants to abolish ICE, the Senate, change it so that the president reports to Congress and elim...

DFL is selling affordability. I'm NOT buying

Image
Amy Klobuchar just posted this ridiculous tweet , saying "Democrats are standing together to lower costs, transform our government, and deliver results for Minnesotans!" This is proof that the DFL thinks of us as blithering idiots. Each of these DFL women in the federal government voted for the biggest bill in U.S. history, aka the American Rescue Plan. Each of them voted multiple times for the bailout of Obamacare, too. Obamacare, you'll recall, was supposed to lower health insurance premiums. That hasn't happened since 2010, the year it was passed. While Lt. Gov. Flanagan didn't vote for the American Rescue plan because that's a federal bill, she definitely delighted in spending the money that bill sent to the states. In 2023, Minnesota had a projected surplus of $18,000,000,000. That was less than a year after the 9.1% inflation under Biden in July, 2022. Rather than keeping the Walz-Flanagan ticket promise of sending $2,000 Walz Checks to Minnesotans, Walz...

Is Peggy Flanagan a liberal racist?

Image
After reading this Alpha News article , it's pretty obvious that Peggy Flanagan has a racial problem. Alpha News reported "In the days following George Floyd’s death in 2020, Flanagan did an interview with NPR where she said, 'We’ve got a really incredible state — if you’re white. If you are a person of color, if you are indigenous, if you are an immigrant or refugee, the opposite is true.'" That's pretty explicit racism. The Minnesota I've lived in all of my 70 years gets along with everyone that obeys the law. Later in the article: Later in that same NPR interview, Flanagan said Minnesota "has been built' on 'white supremacy' and 'unless we tackle it in a really aggressive way, we are not going to see the systematic change that we need." Lt. Gov. Flanagan apparently sees everything through a racial lens. Saying that we need to tackle racism "in a really aggressive way" is itself acccusing Minnesotans of being racist....

Tim Walz's 'leadership' is getting the U of M in trouble

Image
It isn't difficult picturing DFL Gov. Tim Walz's activism and 'leadership' getting the University of Minnesota in trouble. In fact, picturing that is quite easy to do. What Gov. Walz is doing is telling children (and their parents) the llie that boys can become girls, then grow into women. What pervert preaches that sick stuff? This article , which originated in The College Fix, reports "Whether 'directly or indirectly,' U.S. Sen. Bill Cassidy wants to know if the University of Minnesota used tax dollars to fund the development of 'therapeutic' 'transgender' dolls for children as young as 4." Let's be clear. This is a political issue of explosive proportions. Only perverts think like this. If the MNGOP accuses the DFL of pushing this crap on little kids, what can the DFL do? Will Leigh Finke fade into the background? It was his bill that established Minnesota as a trans refuge state. Tim Walz signed an executive order establishing M...

Lisa Demuth's take-action press conference, Amy Klobuchar's word salad ad

Image
Today was a study in contrasts between GOP gubernatorial nominee Lisa Demuth and Amy Klobuchar, the DFL's do-nothing gubernatorial nominee. Speaker Demuth co-hosted a press availability with Ryan Wilson, her running mate, focusing on Medicaid fraud. According to this Alpha News article , Speaker Demuth "unveiled her updated plan to combat fraud in state government." Speaker Demuth's plan would include "fraudsters would get mandatory prison time, receive a lifetime ban from welfare benefits in Minnesota, and anyone who gets welfare benefits in Minnesota would be restricted from transferring money overseas." That's what substantive proposals look like. I trust people who get specific. I don't trust people who speak in platitudes. Amy Klobuchar is an expert in speaking in platitudes. She’s good at saying good-sounding things. She’s worthless at doing what needs to be done. We need a person who fixes things. We don’t need a person who’s good at saying th...

Peggy Flanagan's record can't be hidden

Image
I can't blame Peggy Flanagan from distancing herself from Gov. Tim Walz, the worst governor of the 21st Century. Without question, he's been the biggest embarrassment in recent Minnesota history. Still, she was Gov. Walz's Lt. Gov. She can't deny that she played a role in Gov. Walz's administation. Michele Tafoya is accusing Lt. Gov. Flanagan of her role in Minnesota's Medicaid fraud scandal. Tafoya even accused Flanagan of not mentioning fraud during her victory speech after Flanagan's primary victory on August 11, 2026. In this interview with Harris Faulkner, Tafoya said that Lt. Gov. Flanagan got the same reports from the legislative auditor: Flanagan had a golden opportunity to volunteer to lead a task force to clean up the Medicaid fraud in Minnesota. Flanagan's record includes dropping test scores for K-12 students. Minnesotans won't forget this T-Shirt either: Lt. Gov. Flanagan is wholeheartedly behind boys playing in girls sports. It doesn...

Why are Democrats opposing school choice for 20,000,000 students?

Image
rhy are Democrat governors expected to run for president opposing school choice? That's the question Glenn Youngkin asked in this NY Post op-ed . Youngkin opened his op-ed by stating "Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs, California Gov. Gavin Newsom, Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker, Maryland Gov. Wes Moore and Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, along with just about every other Democratic governor across America, are currently blocking over 20 million students from life-changing education opportunities." That's an easy answer and the unions know it. The unions aren't in this for the kids. The teachers are but the unions? Not so much. The unions are in this to enrich teachers and their executives. In 2023, American Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten and her executive team made millions: $569,012: Randi Weingarten, President, $458,966: Federick C Ingram $376,332 Evelyn DeJesus, EVP $357,174 Darrin Nedrow, Director of Organization and Field S $354,603 Jessica Smith, Dir...

Angie Craig criticized Peggy Flanagan for fraud dodge

Image
At a recent debate, Angie Craig flashed anger at Minnesota Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan . According to the WSJ, "In a recent debate, Rep. Angie Craig flashed anger as she connected the [edicaid fraud] scandal to progressive Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan, her opponent in the state’s Democratic Senate primary." Craig then said "It pisses me off that you completely put all of the responsibility on the governor of Minnesota when you were the No. 2 elected leader in Minnesota during that period of time. Republicans, they are going to have a field day with this with you." Looking back at the debate, it's apparent that the DFL-DSA picked the DSA over the supposedly more moderate Craig. In last Tuesday's primary, Flanagan defeated Craig 59%-39%. What's still undetermined is how many of Craig's voters will stay home or vote for Michele Tafoya. During Tafoya's recent 'earned media tour', Tafoya made clear that Tafoya's campaign would target 'disaffect...

The MNGOP's unity ticket?

Image
On her many earned media interviews, Michele Tafoya preaches the gospel of party unity. Thus far, we haven't heard much from GOP Gubernatorial Nominee Lisa Demuth but I've just heard from MNGOP State Party Chairman Alex Plechash. In this tweet , GOP Influencer Dustin Grage wrote "Warms my heart to see so many Republicans excited about Michele Tafoya and Lisa Demuth now that the primary is over. More and more conservatives are jumping on board with each passing day. Make no mistake: Republicans want to end the fraud, and these two candidates can also win over Independents in November. Plechash wrote "Minnesota Republicans sent a clear message Tuesday: we are ready to win. We nominated a statewide ticket with the experience, talent, and credibility to change Minnesota's direction. Lisa Demuth gives us the opportunity to elect a historic Governor — a proven conservative leader, successful businesswoman, and Speaker of the Minnesota House who knows how to lead and win...

Is Steve Simon stealing elections?

Image
When people vote absentee, they have a right to know whether the person handling the ballot is trustworthy. Because so much potentially rides on each ballot, it's essential that the people deciding which ballots are accepted or rejected are trustworthy. That's why it's essential that these people be listed. Sunlight is the best disinfectant. Knowing who is assigned that responsibility is essential. This Liz Collin/Alpha News podcast explains what's been happening in "Hennepin County, Anoka County, and the city of Plymouth." Attorney Greg Joseph explained the lawsuit filed by him on "behalf of [the] Minnesota Voters Alliance." Alpha News reported "The petition asks the Minnesota Supreme Court to make a decision prior to absentee ballots becoming available to the public on Sept. 18." Joseph is then quoted as saying "These are the people who are deciding elections one way or the other and absentee ballots made up something like 40% of th...

Minneapolis, St. Paul raise property taxes to 'solve' their spending problem

Image
p> you're looking for a portrait in irresponsible sppending, Minneapolis and St. Paul shine brightly in a sea of red ink. This mismanagement isn't new. This 2009 MPR article highlights the fight between then-Gov. Tim Pawlenty and then-Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak. MPR reported "Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak today felt the need to respond to Governor Pawlenty's criticisms of a plan to install ten drinking fountains designed by artists, costing a total of $500,000." That's $50,000 per "artistic" fountain. At the time, I wrote about those fountains. If I recall correctly, Minneapolis could've purchased 5 standard drinking fountains for a total of $60,000. Minneapolis has been spending taxpayers' money foolishly for 20 years. The point is that these types of foolish spending habits will catch up with people. According to this Alpha News article , "Mayor Jacob Frey proposed raising the city’s property tax levy by 11.3% and cutting 100 city...

Steve Simon's latest large loss

Image
Steve Simon's latest large loss was reported by GOP influencer Dustin Grage through his Twitter feed. Simon is pictured above. In his tweet, Grage reported "Secretary of State Steve Simon argued that election judges aren’t required during the 18 days of early voting. He just got slapped down. This builds on the precedent set by Ryan Wilson, who won a major case against Hennepin County at the Minnesota Supreme Court in 2024, forcing the county to follow the law and appoint election judges equally from each major political party." Whether it's early in-person voting or in-person voting on Election Day, the application of the law MUST REMAIN THE SAME . Period. Then Grage added another gem to his reporting. He reported "At the time, Hennepin County had appointed ZERO Republican election judges." It's getting difficult trusting Steve Simon. For that matter, it's difficult to trust DFL politicians. Why trust Tim Walz, Peggy Flanagan, Tina Smith or Keith ...

Michele Tafoya's earned media blitz continues

Image
The outlines of Michele Tafoya's Senatorial general election campaign is taking shape. I titled this article "Michele Tafoya: this year's 'Common Sense Champion'" because she's highlighting the difference between her intended governing approach and DFL Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan's highly ideological governing style. Fox News noticed Michele Tafoya's approach, too. They're reporting "As socialist candidates continue to score victories across the country and take more control of the Democratic Party, Minnesota GOP Senate nominee Michele Tafoya is making her pitch to voters from all parties who still believe in 'common sense.'" Part of Michele Tafoya's pitch is encapsulated in this sentence, where she's quoted as saying "There is absolutely a home for every voter in Minnesota that wants common sense, that wants a return to sanity, that wants to see kids learn in school again, that wants accountability for this fraud, ...

Michele Tafoya: this year's 'Common Sense Champion'

Image
If you played a word association game with Michele Tafoya's name during her campaign, the term most most likely to top the list is common sense , partly due to Michele Tafoya's frequent use of the term, partly due to the fact that that's Michele's persona. Fox News Digital interviewed Tafoya Tuesday morning. At the time, Tafoya said "We do not want to see a socialist lurch anywhere in this country, and in particular in Minnesota, so I will do whatever I can to stand up against this movement toward Democrat socialism. Socialism does not work." Tafoya then said "There is absolutely a home for every voter in Minnesota that wants common sense, that wants a return to sanity, that wants to see kids learn in school again, that wants accountability for this fraud, who wants the fraud never repeat itself, who wants crime rates to go down again. There is room for you. We are the common sense candidacy and we're gonna represent a lot more than just conservatives...

Lisa Demuth handily defeats Mike Lindell

Image
Looking back with 20-20 hindsight, it's easy to say that the tipping point in the MNGOP gubernatorial race was when Mike Lindell made a huge unforced mistake by puting out his amnesty plan. At this point with the race declared, Demuth leads Lindell by 45,000+ votes , thereby ending Lindell's political career. This Alpha News article reports "Lisa Demuth, the speaker of the Minnesota House of Representatives, won the Republican nomination for governor of Minnesota Tuesday night. Demuth bested MyPillow founder Mike Lindell and retired business executive Kendall Qualls for the nomination." After her primary victory, Speaker Demuth issued a statement which said in part "We began this campaign nine months ago. And the thing I’ve heard over and over from Minnesotans from all walks of life is that people are ready for a fresh start." It's OUR JOB to push the DFL into being responsible again. The DFL of Walter Mondale and Paul Wellstone doesn't exist anymo...

Highlighting Peggy Flanagan's victory speech

Image
Tuesday night was the best night that the MNGOP has had in years. It isn't just that Michele Tafoya defeated her opponents as expected. It's that Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan crushed Angie Craig by 20 points, then gave one of the whiniest-sounding victory speeches in recent Minnesota history: According to Flanagan's victory speech, there isn't a thing that can't be solved by ever-expanding government. Got a problem? Nothing that intruive, unaffordable government programs can't fix. Apparently, Lt. Gov. Flanagan doesn't remember the record spending spree the DFL Trifecta went on, spending the projected $18,000,000,000 surplus, then adding a $10,000,000,000 tax hike. By the time the DFL Trifecta dust settled, we had a projected $6,000,000,000 deficit to show for it. Peggy Flanagan agrees: This race is about a fundamental choice in who our government serves: pic.twitter.com/VDZ2QcZpuZ — Peggy Flanagan (@peggyflanagan) August 11, 2026 Flanagan's video starts by...

High turnout expected in Minnesota; who does that help?

Image
This KSTP News article reports that "Minnesota primary momentum builds With 206,000 early votes already cast either in person or by mail, Minnesota election officials say that might indicate a strong primary turnout by Minnesota’s modest standards for attracting voters during summer primaries." That isn't surprising with high profile primaries on the DFL side and the GOP side. Now that it's been established that it's likely to be a high-turnout primary, it's time to figure out which candidates the high turnout helps or hurts most. On the MNGOP side, it's likely to work to Lisa Demuth's benefit because she, unlike Mike Lindell, has a GOTV operation. Lindell doesn't seem to have much beyond Trump's endorsement. After Lindell announced his amnesty plan, social media lit up, saying that the plan eliminated him from serious consideration, Trump endorsement or not. Had Lindell proposed a reform of the visa program instead of proposing an amnesty pla...

David Hoch endorses Lisa Demuth

Image
David Hoch, the man who helped Nick Shirley expose Medicaid fraud in Minnesota, just endorsed Lisa Demuth . During this interview with Kayleigh McEnaney, Hoch said that he's "been contacting [Sen. Klobuchar] for years about this fraud and she's never done a single thing about it." David Hoch says he contacted Amy Klobuchar for years about the fraud in Minnesota, and she never did a thing about it. Hoch, who helped expose Minnesota’s daycare fraud with @nickshirleyy , just endorsed Lisa Demuth for Governor today. https://t.co/I4eaWGFGH1 pic.twitter.com/7xWYFYxed6 — Dustin Grage (@GrageDustin) August 8, 2026 If you're asking why Sen. Klobuchar didn't stop Medicaid fraud, that's simple. To stop Medicaid fraud would require Sen. Klobuchar to stand up to the Somali voters she'll need this fall. Considering the fact that Sen. Klobuchar is both the most popular politician in recent history AND the most risk-averse politician in recent history, the math is ...

Don Lemon's constitutional crisis

Image
Don Lemon's attorney is attempting to get his case dismissed. The problem he's facing is a constitutional showdown. According to this Alpha News article , "Fort and Lemon, along with other notable figures such as William Kelly and Nekima Levy Armstrong, were among the 38 individuals charged in connection to the incident. Both Fort and Lemon have argued that they were not active participants in the mob but were there simply as journalists. The individuals charged in the case targeted Cities Church because they believed one of the pastors worked for ICE." The first problem is that Cities Church is private property, which means Cities Church controls access to the church. Cities Church isn't obligated to letting anyone in, though that's the custom. The next problem facing Fort and Lemon is a legal balancing act. In addition to not getting permission to enter Cities Church, they're fighting to see which group's First Amendment rights are more important. Is...

Proof that the DFL ISN'T worried about affordability

Image
Anyone that spends more than $700,000,000 on a work PALACE isn't worried about your family's budget or your family's affordability. The new DFL isn't interested in family affordability because the New DFL " committed taxpayers to approximately $730 million in total costs , including projected interest, to construct a political palace: the Minnesota State Office Building in Saint Paul, from which they wish to rule on high." That's from the op-ed Rep. Tom Murphy, (R-Star Lake), wrote that was published by Alpha News. Let's be honest. The New DFL doesn't give a damn about spending accountability. During the 2022 campaign, Gov. Tim Walz promised $2,000 Walz Checks to Minnesotans. That was when the projected surplus was $9,000,000,000. In March, the projected surplus grew to $18,000,000,000. Instead of signing a bill that would've sent $2,000 checks to Minnesotans, we got $260 checks. Unfortunately, the New DFL wasn't finished. Unfortunately, ...

Lifelong Democrat Julian Epstein endorses Republican Mike Rogers over Abdul el-Sayed

Image
Julian Epstein is an old-fashioned Democrat who gained notoriety during Bill Clinton's impeachment. That was then, this is a different Democrat Party. Julian Epstein is unlike most Democrats in that he's willing to speak out against DSA candidates like Abdul el-Sayed. He wrote this op-ed to announce that he'd jumped ship against the DSA. Think of the courage it took for him to write "After decades of giving my all for Democratic House and Senate candidates, this fall I will support — and contribute to — Mike Rogers, Michigan’s GOP Senate nominee, instead." Then he continued "And I’ll do everything I can to make sure other Democrats follow. With the exception of Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman, my party’s leaders have sought to appease the dangerous faction rising in our midst." That's when Epstein dropped the bomb, saying "Weak, timid figures like Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer are spouting empty clichés 'We are a big-tent party'...

Did Adam Schwarze's campaign just implode?

Image
'Fox Business anchor Dagen McDowell has a saying that "desperation is a terrible aphrodisiac." If that's true (and I think it is), then Adam Schwarze's campaign appears to be imploding. According to this Alpha News article , "Minnesota Farmfest’s U.S. Senate candidate forum is still on despite a claim that the event had been canceled. That erroneous claim came from Adam Schwarze, the GOP-endorsed U.S. Senate candidate who is not invited to the event." After that, things get wierd. Alpha News also reports "Schwarze’s campaign said the 'last-minute cancellation, sprung on candidates without warning, raises serious questions about whether outside pressure is being used to shield [Michele] Tafoya from having to defend her record in front of Minnesota voters.'" That's when the hammer dropped on the Schwarze campaign: Following Schwarze’s claim that the forum was canceled, Farmfest confirmed to Alpha News that the event is still on. A Fa...

Amy Klobuchar gets booed at FarmFest

Image
This year, FarmFest is making lots of political news. Each even-numbered year, FarmFest kicks off the unofficial start to the state campaign. This year, it's different, though, because the competition feels a bit more intense. It isn't so much that the competition between candidate is more intense. It's that the audience was grumpy towards Sen. Klobbuchar. According to this Twitchy article , Sen. Klobuchar got booed by the audience. The RNC Research Twitter account reports "Democrat Senator Amy Klobuchar gets booed for lying over her support for law enforcement and secure borders." What got Sen. Klobuchar booed was when she said "I've long believed and supported order at the border and I have long worked well with law enforcement in Minnesota for years. (booing) But what I ... I ran the largest prosecutors' office in the state and was endorsed by the police many, many times." Watch it for yourself: BRUTAL Democrat Senator Amy Klobuchar gets booe...

DFL soft-on-crime agenda is showing

Image
Imagine your teenage son or daughter was killed by a hit-and-run driver. Next, imagine the police or highway patrol catching the person who committed the crime. At long last, you sense little justice is heading in you direction. It doesn't take away the pain, of course, but it's something. Imagine how you'd feel if the judge gave the criminal a light sentence . You don't have to imagine it. It just happened. Alpha News reported "More than two years after 19-year-old Carter Haithcock was struck, killed and left on the side of a northern Minnesota highway, the former Democratic Party leader who admitted leaving the scene was sentenced to less than a year in jail on Monday." That's the personification of lenient. In fact, it's disturbingly less than lenient. Alpha News also reported that "Cynthia 'Cyndy' Martin, the former chair of the 8th Congressional District DFL, received the sentence outlined in her plea agreement: 364 days in jail, five...

Tim Walz's failure in K-12 education is staggering

Image
Tim Walz touts himself as a teacher. Despite that fact, math and reading proficiency scores for 4th and 8th graders have dropped significantly. Congressman Brad Finstad wrote Gov. Walz a letter expressing his disgust with Minnesota's drop in test scores. It's to be expected. According to the Alpha News article, "Finstad pointed out that Minnesota’s education system was ranked seventh in the nation in the Annie E. Casey Foundation’s annual report in 2021. This year, Minnesota was ranked 21st in the same report, a drop of 14 spots." The first question is simple. What changed? Did our teachers underperform? Did our students underperform? Did the curriculum change? If it did, did that cause the underperformance? The next question that must be asked is important. How do we fix the problem? Later, Rep. Finstad wrote “Between 2019 and 2024, the share of fourth graders who weren’t proficient in reading rose seven percentage points in Minnesota compared to the national averag...

Is Mike Lindell winging it?

Image
,m0ot a call Saturday morning after the Qualls-Lindell debate on Almanac. I asked my friend if they got the impression that Lindell was winging it. I asked because it was obvious that Lindell wanted to talk about his budget. He mentioned it at different times, saying that he'd put it out in "2 days," in "3 days", in "4 days" and in "5 days." He missed the mark on 2 days. That was Sunday. He's likely to miss 3 days. That's today. The point of the budget was to highlight his plan to make Minnesota a state that doesn't impose state income taxes. That's odd since his campaign website's Platform page doesn't mention cutting income taxes. Period. Check it out: Jobs and Minnesota's Economy Mike Lindell’s Minnesota jobs plan puts small businesses, manufacturing, and higher‑paying careers for workers and families at the center of the state’s economy. Mike Lindell knows the economy runs on real people—Moms juggling schedule...

Sophie Cunningham Fever hits Minneapolis, Part II

Image
Apparently, the WNBA is getting transformed into Liberal Causes Basketball Association or the Activists' Basketball Association. It's getting annoying watching grown women deny reality. On Saturday, Lynx Coach Cheryl Reeve spoke to the press about the issue of trans athletes. In other words, she spoke as an activist. That's her right but it's my right to correct the mistakes she made. The IndyStar reports "Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve wore a T-shirt supporting transgender people under a jacket. Lynx fans booed Cunningham when she entered the game in the first quarter and when she touched the ball." Let's get rid of this notion of trans girls or trans women. Until a scientist figures out how to change a person born with 2 X chromosomes into a person with 1 X chromosome and 1 Y chromosome or vice versa into the other, there's only 2 sexes. Period. There isn't a transition until that happens. Frankly, I don't think it'll happen in our lifetimes. U...

Sophie Cunningham Fever hits Minneapolis

Image
Apparently, Sophie Cunningham is the newest superstar in the WNBA. Last Tuesday, Celeste Keaton, a minority owner of the Seattle Storm team got in the faces of 2 16-year-old female fans. By the end of the week, the WNBA had suspended Keaton from attending the team's next 5 home games. After the WNBA fined and suspended Keaton , Cunningham spoke up, with the Storm issuing a statement that said "We are aware one of our co-owners made comments to two fans in attendance at last night's game. We apologize that this happened. Everyone who attends a Storm game deserves to feel welcome, and we remain committed to creating an inclusive environment where every fan is treated with respect." The statement read like it was written by a hostage than anything else. Acccording to this Fox News article , "Jennifer Sey saw what happened during the Indiana Fever’s game against the Seattle Storm and insisted the 'Save Women’s Sports' movement needed to follow Sophie Cunning...

Almanac hosts Mike Lindell-Kendall Qualls debate

Image
Friday night, Almanac hosted the first televised debate between top GOP gubernatorial candidates. Kendall Qualls and Mike Lindell participated. Lisa Demuth couldn't attend because of scheduling conflicts. Follow this link to view the debate for yourself. The debate introductions start at the 20:00 mark, with Kendall Qualls getting the first question. The first question was asked by Co-Anchor Cathy Wurzer about whether he'd call a special session to address the wildfire situation in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Qualls quickly affirmed that he'd call that special session. For the record, Lindell also affirmed that he'd call a special session. When Wurzer asked if he'd tack anything else onto the widfire bill, Qualls said that he'd add tax relief for everyone to the wildfire relief bill. Qualls also mentioned that the paid family medical leave was already running a deficit. When Wurzer replied that paid family medical leave was popular, Qualls questi...
