Once upon a time in Sophie Cunningham's world

Once upon a time, in a land ruled by WNBA superstar Sophie Cunningham, a wicked witch visited Sophie's kingdom. The name of the wicked witch was changed to protect the wicked witch. In this fairy tale, the wicked witch's name was Julie Papinoe. According to this clever, well-written article, written by Andrew Fox and published by PJ Media, the WNBA "was a wonderfully complicated kingdom, but the players wanted to get paid." Imagine that. Players stayed fit at least 10 months each, took risks to their bodies, then asked they get paid for the skill they showed and the risks to their health they took

You'd almost think that the C-Word (Capitalism) had broken out in Sophie Cunningham's Kingdom! Imagine that. Socialism suddenly took a nosedive. But that isn't the end of the story. Things get far more sordid after that.

According to Fox, 2 men volunteered to guard the WNBA's henhouse. According to Fox, "Then came a knock at the door. Everyone turned. Through the doorway ducked two enormous men. Enes Kanter Freedom and Royce White had arrived, their towering frames filling the entrance. 'We are declaring for the WNBA!' they proclaimed. A terrible screech echoed above the building as Rapinoe circled overhead on her broomstick; her dark magic was beginning to fail."

In your traditional fairy tale, this'd be where the wicked witch of the west would cry out "I'm melting." Remember that this isn't an ordinary fairy tale. In THIS fairy tale Mssrs. Freedom and White vowed to sue the WNBA if they weren't drafted. This time, the WNBA had to define what a woman is. This time, it wasn't just another exercise in virtue signaling.

Meanwhile, in Sophie Cunningham's kingdom, she just had to keep repeating what she'd said initially:

The lovely Sophie Cunningham of the Indiana Fever opened her mouth. And suddenly, the kingdom discovered that the word woman was apparently more complicated than a full-court press. Sophie said that women and girls should not have to compete against biological males. That’s all, nothing more. It was difficult to imagine a more ordinary thing.
Whether in a WNBA arena or in the court of public opinion, Sophie rules! That's something the DFL should fear this election season. How does the DFL handle voters telling DFL candidates that girls sports are for girls only. This isn't about inclusivity. It's about fairness and biological girls competing against biological girls.

Anyone that thinks that Tim Walz, Minnesota's DFL governor, doesn't care about preventing crime or fraud hasn't read this article . Alpha News is reporting that "The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) has confirmed that Dylan Adams, the fiscal policy analyst caught on video vandalizing Teslas in Minneapolis, is still employed by the state — meaning Minnesota taxpayers are footing the bill for his salary. In response to Alpha News inquiries, a DHS spokesperson said: "Dylan Adams is a current employee." Apparently, the Walz administration doesn't care that it's employing a vandal in its Department of Human Services.
