The MNGOP's unity ticket?

On her many earned media interviews, Michele Tafoya preaches the gospel of party unity. Thus far, we haven't heard much from GOP Gubernatorial Nominee Lisa Demuth but I've just heard from MNGOP State Party Chairman Alex Plechash. In this tweet, GOP Influencer Dustin Grage wrote "Warms my heart to see so many Republicans excited about Michele Tafoya and Lisa Demuth now that the primary is over. More and more conservatives are jumping on board with each passing day. Make no mistake: Republicans want to end the fraud, and these two candidates can also win over Independents in November.

Plechash wrote "Minnesota Republicans sent a clear message Tuesday: we are ready to win. We nominated a statewide ticket with the experience, talent, and credibility to change Minnesota's direction. Lisa Demuth gives us the opportunity to elect a historic Governor — a proven conservative leader, successful businesswoman, and Speaker of the Minnesota House who knows how to lead and win. Michele Tafoya brings star power, communication skills, and a successful career outside politics to the U.S. Senate race. She can take our message directly to voters in a way few candidates can.

Minnesota GOP activists have lots of reasons to unite. First, if we don't unite, Minnesota will be lost forever. That's enough reason right there. Next, the message preached by Tafoya and Demuth is what comservatives have pushed for for years. I've heard activists whine that Tafoya is pro-choice. To them, I say "So what?" Before the Dobbs decision, the life-choice issue mattered to senators. Pre-Dobbs, senators voted on life-choice issues. Post-Dobbs, life-choice issues are decided by the U.S. Supreme Court, state legislatures and governors. Period.

This year, the Republicans I've talked with simply want to win. Michele Tafoya sat down with Esme Murphy for an interview this morning:

I was impressed to see Michele stand up to difficult questions, then say that she'd stand with Trump when she thought he was right. She apparently isn't the march-in-lockstep ideologue that Lt. Gov. Flanagan is.

Michele highlighted the fact that Lt. Gov. Flanagan isn't taking responsibility for the rampant fraud. Flanagan isn't a profile in courage. Why promote a loser like that?
