Apparently, Joe Biden enjoys preventing our closest allies from defeating terrorists. In this instance, I'm referring to Biden preventing Israel from defeating Hamas. Sunday afternoon, Biden spoke with Benjamin Netanyahu. According to the White House readout of the call, "reaffirmed his ironclad commitment to Israel’s security following the successful defense against Iran’s unprecedented missile and drone attack earlier this month. They also reviewed ongoing talks to secure the release of hostages together with an immediate ceasefire in Gaza." That's Bidenspeak for saying Joe Biden won't let Israel defeat Hamas. Most Middle East experts have said that not eliminating Hamas is a victory for Hamas. That's because Hamas lives to fight another day. That's a defeat for Israel. Sen. Chuck Schumer is virtually impossible to figure out, especially when it comes to Israel. This past Sunday, Sen. Schumer issued this timid statement about the raging antisemitism on college campuses. In his statement, Sen. Schumer said "College campuses must be places of learning and discussion. Every American has a right to protest, but when protests shift to antisemitism, verbal abuse, intimidation, or glorification of Oct. 7 violence against Jewish people, that crosses the line. NBC News is reporting that anti-Israel protesters shut down San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge for more than 5 hours on Monday. CNN is reporting that "More than 150 people were arrested or taken into custody across the US Monday as pro-Palestinian protesters blocked roads and one of the country’s most famous bridges. In places from San Francisco and Seattle to Chicago and the East Coast cities of Miami and New York , demonstrators disrupted traffic,  including during rush hour,  and blocked travelers from getting to major airports to protest the US supporting Israel in the war in Gaza." These disruptions were well-coordinated, well-funded and highly effective. If I had to guess, I'd bet that we'll see more disruptions in the near future through the Republicans' and Democrats' conventions through Election Day.
