Elon Musk pledges to be midterm difference-maker

The Calvin Coolidge Project X account reports that Elon Musk plans on being a difference-maker in this fall's midterms. According to the tweet, "Elon Musk is expected to spend between $100 million and $200 million to support Republicans in the 2026 midterm elections. The spending is expected to focus on voter turnout in key battleground states, including the Texas Senate Race to help Ken Paxton." This is a major boost to the GOP GOTV operation. In 2024, Musk's megabucks turned a semi-close race into a Trump rout. This year, Musk's megabucks won't turn this into a rout. It might turn a toss-up race into a GOP victory.

According to this Townhall aricle, "Wired reported that the ultra-rich tech entrepreneur plans on boosting Republicans like Ken Paxton with massive voter-turnout spending as the midterms draw near. Musk conducted similar operations in the lead-up to the 2024 election, which included a $1 million-a-day giveaway for voter registration in swing states."

This should frighten Democrats: >His midterm spending could dwarf that of in 2024, as he reportedly spent $70 million through his PAC to aid President Donald Trump and down-ballot Republicans while campaigning on the proposed Department of Government Efficiency.

Apparently, the world's smartest man doesn't want any part of the DSA's agenda. Honestly, intelligent people want nothing to do with it, either.
