DFL is selling affordability. I'm NOT buying
While Lt. Gov. Flanagan didn't vote for the American Rescue plan because that's a federal bill, she definitely delighted in spending the money that bill sent to the states. In 2023, Minnesota had a projected surplus of $18,000,000,000. That was less than a year after the 9.1% inflation under Biden in July, 2022.
Rather than keeping the Walz-Flanagan ticket promise of sending $2,000 Walz Checks to Minnesotans, Walz and Flanagan spent most of the $18,000,000,000 projected surplus. Then they raised va0rious taxes and fees an additional $10,000,000,000. Craig, Flanagan, Klobuchar and Smith are spendaholics with the track records to verify that statement. Notice, too, that the DFL said costs, not prices. Those are exceptionally different things.
If you subsidize health insurance premiums but the subsidy and the actual premium stay the same, the cost hasn't changed. The price on yourr bill might've dropped but the cost remained the same. At this press availability, Gov. Walz admitted that shutting down government "decimated our economy":
Gov. Walz, at the time, took pride in establishing a snitch line to snitch on your neighbors who didn't obey Gov. Walz's dictatorial proclamations. These ladies stayed silent. I'm not surprised. Profiles in courage doesn't fit these women's profiles. Are YOU ready to give them a promotion? I'd rather retire them so they can't do more harm to Minnesota.Democrats are standing together to lower costs, transform our government, and deliver results for Minnesotans! pic.twitter.com/cjEDhONfXY
