Donald Trump to Joe Biden: Buckle up

Image
According to this article , Gramps Biden better "buckle up" now that Trump's Manhattan sham trial has finished. Trump campaign spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt told Fox News Digital "Crooked Joe Biden and the Democrats confined President Trump to a courtroom for more than eight hours a day for more than six weeks, and he’s still winning. Now that he is fully back on the campaign trial, Biden and the Democrats better buckle up." In the aftermath of Trump's conviction, Trump's campaign raised $34.8 million in less than half a day. Further, 485,000 of the donors on WinRed are new to WinRed. It's worth noting that Trump's after-conviction haul is biggger than Joe Biden's fundraising haul from his NYC fundraiser with Barack Obama and Bill Clinton. In fact, Trump's online fundraising haul is 33% bigger than Biden's in-person fundraising haul. Imagine how many additional states Trump can put into play just by visiting those states. Trump's d

The anti-Biden revolution started Thursday

Image
It didn't take long for the Trump campaign and other GOP-related fundraising organizations to cash in on the sham Manhattan trial's conviction to turn anger into campaign cash. During FNC's The Five, Dana Perino reported that WinRed had crashed temporarily before she reported that WinRed had already raised $6,000,000 in the half-hour after the Trump verdict's announcement. That's just the start of it. According to this article , Team Trump said on X "So many Americans were moved to donate to President Trump’s campaign that the WinRed pages went down. We are working on getting the website back online as quickly as possible." Elsewhere, "former Rep. Lee Zeldin said on X that he had just secured an $800,000 donation for Trump’s Joint Fundraising Committee, adding: 'Never experienced a massive ask that easy.'" Elsewhere, "Silicon Valley venture capitalist Shaun Maguire said on X that he had just donated $300,000 to Trump’s presidential c

Jill Biden visits the View to talk character

Image
Jill Biden, the First Lady of the United States, is sometimes considered the Grandmother from Hell. She's considered that because she sets out Christmas stockings at the White House for her 6 grandchildren that she and Joe acknowledge. Jill still hasn't put up a Christmas stocking for Navy Joan Roberts , Hunter Biden's love child. Wednesday morning, Jill stopped past The View to chat with the ladies of The View and to breath new life into Joe Biden's campaign. During the lovefest, Jill said "This election is not about age. This is about character." Then she said "You have to believe [Trump] when he uses words like ‘dictator,’ ‘bloodbath,’ ‘third term,’ ‘violence.’ We’ve seen it, so when he says these words believe him, don’t think this isn’t going to happen." What's essential, Jill, is to not use Trump's words out of context. When Trump talked about being a dictator, that was from a townhall meeting in Iowa with Sean Hannity. Hannity asked w

Robert DeNiro, Joe Biden: a pair of unwell 80-somethings

Image
Until Tuesday, the Biden campaign wisely stayed quiet on Trump's trial. Yesterday, they foolishly stepped off the proverbial bench . It was bad enough that they said anything about the trial. What made things infinitely worse is that the campaign hired a washed-up actor with a bitter streak a mile wide to attack Trump. It wasn't a pretty sight: Get that man his meds. He's having hallucinations or something. Philip Wegmann wrote: Outside the Manhattan courtroom where the former president was on trial, at a press conference organized by the Biden-Harris campaign, actor Robert De Niro rhetorically ran ahead of Biden, making his dire warning about the future of representative government explicit. "Under Trump," the celebrity surrogate said that the government Abraham Lincoln described as of, for, and by the people "will perish from the earth." The rights secured by those the nation recently remembered on Memorial Day, the actor added, well, "you can kis

Is a Trump acquittal a legitimate possibility?

Image
In a just world, the Trump Hush Money Trial likely wouldn't have been attempted. This isn't a just world. At the start of jury selection for the trial, few legal scholars thought that Trump wouldn't be convicted. Bit-by-bit, though, things started changing. It didn't take long to figure out that Alvin Bragg relied too much on this being a Manhattan jury and a corrupt judge who was more a Democrat operative than fair-minded jurist looking for justice. What happened, though, is that the prosecution's star witnesses on direct were turned into the defense's star witness on cross-examination. Michael Cohen admitted that he stole money from Trump while being cross--examined by the defense. That hit like a bombshell within the courtroom. Tuesday, Jake Tapper convened a panel of legal experts. He said "What Tim just said … to me makes sense because I don’t know that they have proved beyond a reasonable doubt that … even if you believe the prosecution’s theory of t

Juan Merchan's moment of infamy

Image
When FDR spoke of the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor, he spoke of a "date that will live in infamy." If a guilty verdict is reached in NY v. Trump, aka the Trump Hush Money Case, a new 'date that will live in infamy' will have been created. To be certain, a guilty verdict in the Trump Hush Money Trial won't be as catastrophic as the bombing of Pearl Harbor in terms of physical destruction. Still, it will be catastrophic in different catastrophic way. It will highlight as fact that corrupt men will have used the criminal justice system to take out their political opponent. The Silver Lining? The Silver lining to that dark cloud is that Joe Biden, Alvin Bragg, Mike Colangelo and Juan Merchan will have failed to defeat Donald Trump. Principled men like Jonathan Turley, Andy McCarthy and Professor Emeritus Alan Dershowitz will have gotten the victory from the appellate court from jurists that shouldn't have been impaneled. Jonathan Turley has written another wel

Ilhan Omar's latest gift to Don Samuels

Image
In 2022, Don Samuels came very close to defeating Ilhan Omar in the MN-5 primary by being the sane (pro-police) candidate. Rep. Omar is still anti-police but she's more secretive in talking about the subject. This time, Rep. Omar has given Mr. Samuels a different gift for this year's primary. She's given him the gift of hating the U.S. at a time when patriotism is making a stunning return. Mediaite is reporting that "Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Cori Bush (D-MO) posted and then deleted tweets for Memorial Day that called for providing support and services to America’s military veterans, drawing sharp rebukes for seeming to miss the point that Memorial Day is dedicated to honoring the memory of those who gave their lives in service to this country." It's disgusting enough that Rep. Omar wants to dismantle the Minneapolis PD. It's more disgusting that she's one of the most antisemitic Democrats on Capitol Hill. To become a U.S. citizen without learning t

Biden administration inefficiency vs. Trump administration efficiency

Image
It didn't take much time to find the perfect comparison between Biden administration inefficiency and the Trump administration's efficiency. It took a single search to find articles talking about how Peter Navarro turned an empty GM plant in Kokomo, IN into a ventilator manufacturing plant at the start of the COVID pandemic. When Gov. Cuomo and Gov. Newsom needed ventilators, they turned to the Trump administration. Trump gave the assignment to Peter Navarro, who turned the GM plant in Kokomo, IN, into a ventilator factory in less than a month. This article contains Navarro's statement, which says "GM has moved swiftly in Trump time to manufacture one of the most critical lifesaving devices in America’s war against the coronavirus. GM’s rapid mobilization of America’s manufacturing might in defense of our country is a proud salute to the ingenuity of its engineers, the true grit of its UAW workers on the line, and America’s doctors, nurses, and other healthcare profes

Who will be Donald Trump's VP?

First, it's important to admit that the pundits don't know with 100% certainty who will be Donald Trump's vice president. Lots of people have opinions on who it'll be. Further, Trump himself floats a different name as his potential running mate. The first name floated was Doug Burgum. After that, Marco Rubio's name was floated. This week's choice appears to be Tom Cotton. It wouldn't be fair to wrap this section up without mentioning the names of Elise Stefanik, Kim Reynolds and Nikki Haley. The names listed each bring something positive to the ticket. Burgum is a businessman with extensive expertise in the oil industry. He's the governor of a well-run state (North Dakota), too. That isn't nothing. Rubio understands foreign policy like nobody else in the GOP. He's rock-solid on Israel, too, which is essential with Trump. Sen. Tom Cotton has been toughest on China, especially on rebuilding the Pacific fleet. I've noticed, though, that a name h

Ilhan Omar's defense of antisemitism

Image
When it comes to defending antisemitism, Rep. Ilhan Omar, (DFL- MN) will do virtually anything to defend the indefensible. During a hearing of the House Education Committee, Omar responded to a video showing "anti-Israel protesters [preventing] a Jewish student wearing a Star of David necklace from walking on campus." Rep. Omar asked UCLA Chancellor Gene Block "whether the student would still be able to access the campus via other routes." Omar asked Chancellor Block "Chancellor Block, just for clarification, that video we just watched, we saw people moving around. Was it possible, do you think, for that student to be able to get into campus? Was that student actually being blocked from entering campus?" What type of idiotic argument is that?  Would Rep. Omar, (DFL-MN), make the same argument if some Jewish students intimidated Kafiyah-wearing Palestinians and prevented the Palestinians from getting to class? Omar wouldn't put up with that for a New Y

Donald Trump's triumphant Bronx return

Image
If Donald Trump was hoping for a triumphant return to the Bronx, Trump should've set his expectations a little higher. Initially, it was expected that he'd draw 3,500 fans to Crotona Park in the Bronx. Fox News is reporting that the attendance for the event was more like 25,000. Politico is reporting that "Donald Trump made a direct appeal to Black and Hispanic voters in one of the bluest parts of the country on Thursday, boasting he could expand the electoral map into traditionally Democratic strongholds. Speaking to a raucous crowd in the South Bronx, the former president claimed he would win his home state of New York, a state that hasn’t gone for a Republican presidential candidate since Ronald Reagan 44 years ago." Actually, Reagam won New York twice, the first time in 1980, the final time in 1984. Still, it's been too long since Republicans took New York's electoral votes. While it's still a longshot for Trump to win New York's electoral votes,

Mark Mellman's misperception of Bidenomics

Image
People's perception of Bidenomics and Trump's pre-COVID economy is often determined by the color of your collar. If you're a blue-collar worker, your perception of Bidenomics likely isn't positive. If the color of your collar is white, your perception of Bidenomics is likely to be slightly more positive. Mark Mellman wrote this op-ed to describe his perception of the differences between Donald Trump's economic policies and Bidenomics. The second paragraph of Mellman's op-ed says "But there’s little question that’s how Americans currently see it. A CBS/YouGov survey in March found 65 percent saying the economy was good under Donald Trump, but only 38 percent said the economy has been good under President Biden." This isn't that difficult to understand. Donald Trump cut taxes, increased energy independence, cut regulations and negotiated job-producing bilateral trade agreements. Thus far, Biden's administration hasn't negotiated a single tra

Joe Biden vs. Donald Trump, April Fundraising edition

Image
The night of Joe Biden's star-studded fundraising event, he made a big point of highlighting the fact that he'd raised $25,000,000 in a single night with the help of some celebrities and presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama. Less than a week later, Trump announced that he'd raised $50,500,000 at Mar-a-Lago. It's apparent that first Trump fundraiser wasn't a fluke. This AP article is reporting that "President Joe Biden and the Democratic National Committee said Monday that they raised more than $51 million in April, falling well short of the $76 million that Donald Trump and the Republican Party reported taking in for the month." Again, that's another deficit of $25,000,000 between the Biden-DNC team and the Trump-RNC team. Trouble in Paradise? Biden’s reelection campaign said it had $192 million in cash-on-hand as of the end of last month, which it said was higher than any Democratic candidate in history. But that was also roughly the same amount

DFL mismanagement running amok

Image
Sunday night's end-of-session final hour 'featured' the biggest fiasco seen in Minnesota history. That includes Margaret Anderson-Kelliher's deer-in-the-headlights moment in the final minutes of the 2007 House session. That's a moment that'll live in infamy. The lowlight of last night's session happened when the DFL passed a 2,860-page omnibus bill at the last minute that contained these bills in the omnibus bill: HF 5242 (Transportation, Housing, Labor) HF 4247 (Scope of Practice) HF 4024 (Higher Education) HF 2609 (Straw purchase/binary trigger ban) SF 4942 (Agriculture/Energy) SF 5335 (DHS) SF 4699 (HHS) Paid family leave, HF 5363, 4th engrossment Tax Bill If the Minnesota Supreme Court doesn't strike that bill down per curiam, then Minnesota's single subject law is utterly worthless. That 'bill' was created by the DFL's utter mismanagement. Senate President Bobby Joe Champion mismanaged the Senate's time on both the final Saturday

MNGOP endorses Royce White to run against Amy Klobuchar

Image
On Saturday at the MNGOP State Convention, the delegates helped former NBA player Royce White win the Republican endorsement to run against Amy Klobuchar. (FYI- I've given Sen. Klobuchar the nickname of St. Amy of Hennepin County because the Twin Cities media give her a total pass on her votes.) True to form, the Twin Cities media wrote a hit piece against White moments after he won the MNGOP endorsement. It took only minutes for White to respond via Twitter to the Pioneer Press's hit piece. In his tweet, White wrote "There used to be a time when the great Pioneer Press was credible enough to get a man's age right. But they sure didn't miss the spelling on "Black Lives Matter" did they? And that's the whole problem. I never marched with BLM, they marched with me ...to The Federal Reserve. As soon as the higher ups in BLM run mainstream media figured out I wasn't there to pitch the same ol story and smart enough to speak about a much deeper money

The DFL's major miscalculation

Image
On Friday night's Almanac, activist Abou Amara said something that highlights the DFL's 2024 campaign strategy. Amara responded to a question about Trump being ahead in the polls by repeating Joe Biden's line "Don't compare me to the Almighty. Compare me to the alternative." In 2020, it was widely admitted by Republicans that Donald Trump was the Democrats' best GOTV motivation. Democrats weren't that interested in voting for Joe Biden. They still aren't that interested in Joe. That's why Joe needed Bill Clinton and Barack Obama to help him raise $26,000,000 in April. People noticed that Trump raised $50,500,000 a week later. In our old neighborhood, we used to say that unpopular kids were so unpopular that their mother had to tie a pork chop around their neck just to get a dog to play with them. That would've fit Joe perfectly. But I digress. The truth is that lots of Republicans will be voting for Trump in 2024. That isn't the total

Minnesota Timberwolves force Game 7 with record-setting performance

Image
Minnesota Timberwolves fans that watched last night's defeat of the NBA defending champion Denver Nuggets likely still can't believe what they saw. What they saw was a game of streaks, comebacks and longer streaks . The T'Wolves scored the first points before Denver scored the next 9 points. Denver wasn't in the game after that, as the Wolves went on a 20-0 run before MVP Nikola Jokic finally hit a free-throw line jumper for Denver to finish Minnesota's 20-0 run. Minnesota finished that run by scoring the next 7 points to complete a stunning 27-2 run. This was a total team victory: Anthony Edwards flashed seven fingers to the roaring crowd as he walked off for a fourth-quarter timeout during a blowout by the Minnesota Timberwolves. He had that tenacious look of a superstar player refusing to cede to the defending champs all night. Edwards scored 27 points to pull the Timberwolves out of their mid-series slump and deliver a flawless 115-70 victory over the Denver Nug

BREAKING NEWS: Joe Biden challenges Donald Trump to presidential debate

Image
If you're a Trump supporter, something unexpected happened this morning. A miracle happened this morning when Joe Biden challenged Donald Trump to a pair of presidential debates . The first debate is thought to be this June after Trump's trial. The other presidential debate would be in September, after the conventions. A third debate, a vice-presidential debate , is proposed for late July after the Republican Convention. Check out this Biden tweet challenging Trump to debate: Donald Trump lost two debates to me in 2020. Since then, he hasn’t shown up for a debate. Now he’s acting like he wants to debate me again. Well, make my day, pal. pic.twitter.com/AkPmvs2q4u — Joe Biden (@JoeBiden) May 15, 2024 That's stunning. The Biden Campaign edited that video 5 times to create a 14-second video! I suspect that Biden wanted to look like he's the guy driving the agenda. It didn't take Trump long to respond: Trump responds: pic.twitter.com/nbae2qy1KY — Tom Bevan (@TomBevanRC

Joe Biden's repeated inflation whopper

Image
Joe Biden is making things impossible for honest people to decide who's the most dishonest public figure in the U.S. Imagine the difficulty in determining whether Joe Biden is the most dishonest person in the U.S. or if it's Michael Cohen. Mr. Cohen has spent the past 2 days testifying in the Trump Hush Money trial. Officially, it's known as NY v. Trump. According to this article , Cohen is a convicted perjurer. Additionally, he's lied to the IRS, to Congress in depositions and in testimony in the Bragg kangaroo court (my wording). Compare that with the fact that  Biden repeated the lie  he told a week ago when Biden said that inflation was 9% when he took office 4 years ago. That isn't just a lie. I'd call it a whopper. I suspect that it's the type of lie that the Washington Post would rate as a 'bottomless Pinocchio.' Joe Biden isn't interested in slowing government spending. He's interested in accelerating spending. Pre-pandemic, federal s

One Nation PAC is getting aggressive

Image
Politico is reporting that "One Nation, a top conservative group, is plowing $70 million more into hitting vulnerable Democrats in key Senate races nationwide according to details first shared with POLITICO, an extraordinary sum that’s roughly double the group’s Senate investment last cycle." According to Politico, One Nation PAC is spending significant money in "Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin and Nevada" in an attempt to flip those states' Senate seats. Those ad buys will be starting this summer. One Nation PAC is already running ads in Montana. The 3 most vulnerable Senate seats are West Virginia, Montana and Ohio with an asterisk. West Virginia isn't vulnerable anymore. I'm counting that as a flip from Democrat to Republican. Once Manchin retired, that seat all but officially flipped. The seats in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan should be considered sleeper opportunities. Meanwhile, Nevada and Arizona should be considered promising pick

Bobby Joe Champion joins Mitchell defense team

Image
It's apparent that Sen. Bobby Joe Champion can't wait to join disgraced DFL Sen. Nicole Mitchell's defense team. That's essentially the role he played at last week's Senate Ethics Committee hearing last week, though he's officially listed as the Senate Ethics Committee chairman.  Officially, Bruce Ringstrom, Jr. is listed as Sen. Mitchell's defense attorney . Ringstrom defended Mitchell, saying "This case belongs in court. Then it can be dealt with by this subcommittee." That sounds reasonable if you don't pay attention to details. A criminal trial determines legal guilt or innocence. Ethics committees are there to determine whether a member of the legislature violated House or Senate rules in terms of conduct. The Strib is reporting "Senate President Bobby Joe Champion, DFL-Minneapolis, accused Republicans of "making a giant leap because you're trying to get to a conclusion. You're assuming things that you don't know,&qu

Bernie Sanders, the antisemitic Jew

Image
Bernie Sanders is one of the nastiest Democrats in the U.S. He's so nasty that, though he's Jewish, he's opposed to Israel getting "another nickel" of support in military supplies from the U.S. during the war that Hamas started. What's worst is that Sen. Sanders is far from alone in that thinking amongst Democrats. Appearing on NBC's Meet the Press, Sen. Sanders said "Any objective observer knows Israel has broken international law, it has broken American law, and in my view, Israel should not be receiving another nickel in U.S. military aid. Look the facts are quite clear. Hamas is a terrible disgusting terrorist organization that began this war. Though what Israel has done over the last seven months has not just gone to war against Hamas, it has gone to war against the entire Palestinian people. And results have been absolutely catastrophic." What Sen. Sanders intentionally omits is the fact that Hamas intentionally uses Palestinian civilians

Joe Biden, the heart of the Democrats' lawfare problems

Image
This past week, Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg's case all-but-completely came off the rails. Stormy Daniels' overly vivid testimony almost caused a mistrial in NY v. Trump. Earlier in the week, Judge Aileen Cannon indefinitely postponed the Mar-a-Lago trial, in which Trump is accused of "improperly handling classified documents." The delay is partially required because Special Counsel Jack Smith admitted in court pleadings that he'd mishandled classified documents. Simply put, the Democrats' lawfare strategy is falling apart at the seams. What isn't getting talked about is why the Democrats chose to deploy this strategy. That's what happens when the Democrats' president isn't qualified for the job. The Heart of the Democrats' Lawfare Strategy Let's be clear about this. Democrats wouldn't need to opt for this strategy if they'd opted for a legitimate candidate instead of sticking with Biden. These days, Biden has been a mental puddle

Joe Biden's rose-colored glasses economic perspective

Image
It didn't take long for people to realize that Joe Biden wasn't the brightest bulb in the political chandelier. After half a century of listening to his drivel, though, it's getting impossible to listen to him talk about how great Bidenomics is. Biden is either viewing the economy through rose-colored glasses or he's just lying. I think it's the latter. The Daily Mail is reporting that "President Joe Biden stubbornly refused to admit Americans' struggles with inflation might cost him the election in a rare interview Wednesday. A growing economy could inspire confidence in Biden's leadership ahead of the election, but the issue of persistent inflation could ruin that." David Axelrod criticized Biden for how Biden talked about the economy, saying "I don't understand this. I don't understand all these months later, you know, I thought they spent $25 million mistakenly last fall touting Bidenomics and making the same argument that the pr

Verdict is in: Joe Biden's "ironclad support" for Israel doesn't exist

Image
Joe Biden has frequently said that his administration's support for Israel is "ironclad." That verdict is now in on that. That verdict is this: Joe Biden is full of it. In fact, this article provides proof that Biden's claim of ironclad U.S. support doesn't have anything to do with the truth. The article opens by saying "President Joe Biden said Wednesday that he would not supply offensive weapons that Israel could use to launch an all-out assault on Rafah, the last major Hamas stronghold in Gaza, over concern for the well-being of the more than 1 million civilians sheltering there." Since Israel became a nation again in 1948, the U.S. has stood fast with Israel. This is the biggest U.S. betrayal of Israel since 1948. Biden administration is worst ally of Israel That means that the Biden administration has the worst track record on Israel in U.S. history. That's just the start of it. The article continues: Biden, in an interview with CNN, said the U

Will Joe Biden have to cheat to win re-election, Chicago edition?

Image
Is Joe Biden about to experience a new part to his open borders crisis? If that answer is yes, then the new HQ will likely be 'built' in Chicago, IL. Right now, this article hints that winds of change might halt the Democrats' reign of supremacy over Chicago. The article opens by saying "Chicago residents expressed frustration and anger with President Biden ahead of his visit to the city, warning that Black voters are turning on the Democratic Party in huge numbers. P-Rae Easley and Betty Guider joined 'Fox & Friends First' Wednesday to explain why they think the city is no longer 'the Democratic stronghold that they anticipated.'" It isn't wise to ignore these people's worries. The people's biggest worries According to the article, the people's worries aren't just complaints. They're legitimate worries. Part of the people's worries have to do with the city's (and the administration's) mishandling of border s

Glenn Reynolds' masterpiece, Rule of Law edition

Image
Many is the time I've enjoyed reading a Glenn Reynolds writing in the NY Post. It's safe to say that this op-ed is Reynolds' best work yet. It's written about what's being characterized as the pursuit of justice in NY State. One of the definitions of justice is "judgment of persons or causes by judicial process." This isn't happening in blue states at this point in time. What's happening, for instance, in NY v. Trump isn't justice. It's injustice. Saying that there's a two-tiered system of justice is understatement. Judge Juan Merchan should be disbarred for his actions. Ditto with DA Alvin Bragg. Tuesday, in Judge Merchan's court, defense argued that Stormy Daniels' testimony was prejudicial and had nothing to do with the trial. Judge Merchan ruled that Daniels' testimony was relevant, allowing Daniels' salacious testimony into the record just as the defense had predicted. Then Merchan criticized prosecutors for solic

Donald Trump's most important task: picking a VP? Or building a governing team?

Image
Watching this weekend's Big Weekend Show was painful. The show's opening segment was about the RNC spring meeting and who Trump should pick as his VP. Tammy Bruce suggested that Trump's pick should be a) a believer in Trump's America First agenda and b) able to win in 2028 and 2032. I agree with that. Then she ruined it by saying that one of the options that fit that description was Doug Burgum. Burgum should be part of the cabinet but not as VP. He's perfectly suited as Energy Secretary. Building a governing team vs. picking a VP This should be about building an America First governing team that's committed to Trump's American First agenda long-term. It's time for Trump to build his governing team. That means leaving Tim Scott in the Senate, where he can be Senate Majority Leader John Kennedy's majority whip or conference chair in charge of messaging. National Security team John Ratcliffe, DNI; Mike Pompeo, SecState; Mike Waltz or Tom Cotton, Defens

Ben Sasse, America's best university president

Image
Until a week ago, I'm betting that few Americans knew who Ben Sasse was. I'm confident that less than one-third of Americans knew that he was a US. senator representing Nebraska. After the start of the pro-Palestinian 'protests' started, it didn't take long for people to learn that he's the best university president in the U.S. This morning, President Sasse's WSJ op-ed shines a bright light that the adults are in charge at the University of Florida. I suspect that parents, students and employers are taking notice of his op-ed. In his op-ed, he wrote this indisputable truth: First, universities must distinguish between speech and action. Speech is central to education. We’re in the business of discovering knowledge and then passing it, both newly learned and time-tested, to the next generation. To do that, we need to foster an environment of free thought in which ideas can be picked apart and put back together, again and again. The heckler gets no veto. The
