The DFL's major miscalculation

On Friday night's Almanac, activist Abou Amara said something that highlights the DFL's 2024 campaign strategy. Amara responded to a question about Trump being ahead in the polls by repeating Joe Biden's line "Don't compare me to the Almighty. Compare me to the alternative." In 2020, it was widely admitted by Republicans that Donald Trump was the Democrats' best GOTV motivation.

Democrats weren't that interested in voting for Joe Biden. They still aren't that interested in Joe. That's why Joe needed Bill Clinton and Barack Obama to help him raise $26,000,000 in April. People noticed that Trump raised $50,500,000 a week later.

In our old neighborhood, we used to say that unpopular kids were so unpopular that their mother had to tie a pork chop around their neck just to get a dog to play with them. That would've fit Joe perfectly. But I digress.

The truth is that lots of Republicans will be voting for Trump in 2024. That isn't the total story, though. As a result of Joe's litany of disasters, some Never Trumpers will be voting for Donald Trump despite the fact that they still hate Trump. These Never Trumpers have seen Joe Biden's litany of disasters. They believe that the nation can't survive 4 more years of Biden.

Whether you look at the southern border, Israel, Gaza, Iran, Ukraine, inflation or college campuses, Biden has left a lengthy trail of disasters to fix. Here's the scene from when the NYPD retook Hamilton Hall from the antisemites:

While a Minnesota activist spoke the lines, the truth is that he alluded to national disgraces created by President Biden. Wanting to finally stop our national nightmare is motivating Republican. it's even causing some Never Trumpers to flip.

Times have changed

Now, Joe Biden is motivating the GOP to vote, vote, vote. Scranton Joe has gone from being a wishy-washysemi-moderate to being a Bernie Sanders flipped-out socialist. When Joe was right, relatively speaking, he was unpredictable. Now, with his diminished cognitive state, he's finally predictable. He's getting pushed around by the Squad and Bernie.

Joe, the GOP motivator

Biden has made it clear that he thinks he's lost moderates and independents. His base keeps shrinking while Trump keeps adding states to his battleground list. Think Wildwood, NJ:

What is Kamala Harris afraid of?

Apparently, Kamala Harris suddenly loves debating. Let me rephrase that. Harris loves debating as long as the moderators are partisan hacks. She wants nothing to do with a debate moderated by Fox's Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum. She's afraid of Bret and Martha because a) they'll either fact-check both her and Trump or they won't fact-check either of them and b) Bret and Martha aren't afraid of asking follow-up questions. To a candidate whose answers are scripted and who isn't quick on her feet, the last thing you want is a follow-up question. Kamala fears follow-up questions like vampires hate wooden stakes, sunlight and holy water. Why has Kamala Harris avoided Fox News like the plague? Why is Joe Biden letting Hamas off the hook?

It isn't disputable whether Joe Biden's administration is letting Hamas off the hook. That issue was settled months ago, when a spineless Joe Biden caved to activists interested in saving Hamas and thwarting the Israelis' attempt to defend themselves.
