Biden administration inefficiency vs. Trump administration efficiency
When Gov. Cuomo and Gov. Newsom needed ventilators, they turned to the Trump administration. Trump gave the assignment to Peter Navarro, who turned the GM plant in Kokomo, IN, into a ventilator factory in less than a month. This article contains Navarro's statement, which says "GM has moved swiftly in Trump time to manufacture one of the most critical lifesaving devices in America’s war against the coronavirus. GM’s rapid mobilization of America’s manufacturing might in defense of our country is a proud salute to the ingenuity of its engineers, the true grit of its UAW workers on the line, and America’s doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals fighting for our lives at the front lines."
Compare that efficiency with Pete Buttigieg's incompetence:
Buttigieg appeared Sunday on CBS' "Face the Nation," where he tried to ease doubts about reaching Biden’s goal of 500,000 chargers by the end of the decade when asked why it wasn’t happening more quickly.Manufacturing ventilators is a highly technical industry. Navarro started with an empty plant, no workers and no on-site management. Within a month of being given the assignment, the Kokomo plant was manufacturing 30,000 ventilators a month. By comparison, 3 years after being given the assignment of manufacturing 500,000 EV battery chargers, Pete Buttigieg has manufactured 8 chargers. Here's the Buttigieg interview from yesterday: This is representative of the difference between the Biden administration's incompetence and the Trump administration's efficiency and competence. The difference is like the difference between night and day."Now, in order to do a charger, it's more than just plugging a small device into the ground," the secretary said. "There's utility work, and this is also really a new category of federal investment. But we've been working with each of the 50 states.
"Seven or eight, though?" host Margaret Brennan said with a laugh.
Which will you choose?
This fall, you'll have the decision to make. Will you pick Buttigieg's incompetence? Or will you pick Navarro's efficiency? I'll be picking efficiency over incompetence.
