Joe Biden, the heart of the Democrats' lawfare problems
Simply put, the Democrats' lawfare strategy is falling apart at the seams. What isn't getting talked about is why the Democrats chose to deploy this strategy. That's what happens when the Democrats' president isn't qualified for the job.
The Heart of the Democrats' Lawfare Strategy
Let's be clear about this. Democrats wouldn't need to opt for this strategy if they'd opted for a legitimate candidate instead of sticking with Biden. These days, Biden has been a mental puddle of his former self. Kimberley Strassel’s article highlights the Democrats’ difficulties in detail:
Mr. Smith’s indictments in the District of Columbia, alleging that Mr. Trump plotted to overturn the 2020 election, have separately gone to the Supreme Court, where the justices are determining whether and when a former president is immune from criminal prosecution for acts while in office. A decision on the legal question is expected in June, whereupon the case will likely return to the lower courts to apply it to the facts. That may also mean no trial before the election. The questioning by the justices during oral arguments strongly suggest that presidents have immunity from prosecution, though not total immunity. The thought is that the Supreme Court would send the case back to the trial court to determine the findings of facts before making a final ruling.
As for the 'Hush Money Trial', Stormy Daniels' testimony went off the rails with illicit sexual details:
Ms. Strassel is right in this paragraph:Which leaves the lawfare crowd’s last, best hope in Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s muddled charges on that Trump 2016 “hush money” deal with adult-film star Stormy Daniels. That case was a mess well before Judge Juan Merchan allowed Ms. Daniels to provide the jury Kama-Sutra-worthy descriptions of her claimed sexual tryst with Mr. Trump, during which she intimated several times that the encounter was nonconsensual. These trials are coming off the rails, mostly because the Democrat-appointed prosecutors let their ideology get the better of them. In Manhattan, the prosecution hasn't come close to presenting evidence of a criminal act. They've presented testimony of alleged tawdry behavior. That isn't evidence of a crime, though.
None of this would've been needed if Joe Biden wasn't such a terrible candidate with a terrible record to run on. He deserves getting defeated.
