The DFL's transgender propaganda

Image
The DFL is sitting on the edge of a precipice that might hurt them badly in 2026. That precipice is there because of their purely ideological belief in transgender ideology being settled science. Transgender ideology is lots of things but scientific isn't one of them. This NYPost article is the most honest article on transgenderism I've seen yet. Karol Markowicz reports "If any other mental condition produced a pattern of murder, we would collectively discuss and decide on strategies to help those ailing. But there’s no discussion allowed about what to do when a child declares themselves transgender. No one may point out that gender dysphoria is often a symptom of a much larger mental health problem. " Tim Walz, Minnesota's DFL Governor, is floating a trial balloon of calling a special session to deal with gun violence. Thus far, that trial balloon isn't going anywhere. First, the timeline doesn't work. The Senate has 2 open seats, one DFL open seat, the...

The DNC's terrible, rotten, no-good summer meetings

Within the opening minutes of the DNC's Summer Meeting, held this year in Minneapolis, MN, it was obvious that the DNC wouldn't turn the page on last year's disastrous presidential election. No matter how hard Jessica Tarlov tries spinning things, the DNC isn't popular. BTW, Jessica Tarlov is the Democrats' fool on TV. That's compared to Scott Jennings, who goes nightlyl into the lion's den known as CNN and defeats CNN's liberal panelists, even when he's matched sgainst 3-4 far-left lunatics. The DNC opened with a land acknowledgement. It swiftly went downhill after that. The land acknowledgement was delivered by Lindy Sowmick, a Minnesota Democrat and self-described "Indigenous queer woman" . Indigenous queer woman? It must've been the DNC's check-all-the-boxes Day. This isn't proof that Democrats are a big-tent party. It's proof that they're a farcical bunch of misfits. But I digress. AMAC is reporting that "Minne...

I agree with Tom Emmer on Robin Westman

Image
It isn't rare that I agree with Tom Emmer, who represents me in the U.S. House of Representatives. Still, I want to take a minute to say that I especially agree with Tom on the issue of Minnesota's trans-refuge law. Alpha News requotes Tom as saying "They should immediately repeal [Minnesota's trans-refuge law], but they won’t. Unfortunately, the trans agenda is an article of faith to the DFL, starting with Gov. Walz. Rep. Emmer then said "You look at the sadness of these tortured human beings, because they do have regrets later, and no, we should have never started it. It should not be allowed. We got to respect everyone. We got to have compassion for everyone. But we got to understand that we’ve got some serious mental health issues that are being exacerbated by these types of messages by people like Tim Walz and everybody who supported that law." In his manifesto, Westman said "I am tired of being trans. I wish I never brain-washed myself." DFL ...

Robin Westman's cries for help

Image
I can't imagine what it'd be like to be confused to the point of changing your nmae from Robert to Robin. It's painfully obvious that he was in tons of mental anguish. When a person writes "Kill Trump" and "Where's your God?" on different parts of his gun, that's proof this was a disurbed young man that needed mental health treatment. The NY Post reported that "Transgender mass shooter Robin Westman confessed that he 'was tired of being trans' and wished he 'never brain-washed' himself in a manifesto posted online before he slaughtered two children and wounded 18 more at a Minneapolis church." It's tragic that Westman didn't get the treatment he needed. What's worse is that Gov. Walz is thinking about calling a special session to deal with "gun violence." This tragedy has 'mental health issues' written all over it in bold print and neon colors. If Gov. Walz has a hint of credibility left, ...

Friday night's feisty Almanac Roundtable

Friday night's Roundtable on TPT's Almanac got feistier than usual. It was bound to considering the fact that the Roundtable was mostly focused on Wednesday's school shooting. Fritz Knaak, one of the most gentlemanly debaters on the program, said "To get back to your original questions, yeah, I do think it's a little soon. I think some defference needs to be given to that whole community. That community is about as tight of a Catholic community as there is. It's right in the heart of the Twin Cities. If you put it on a map of the Twin Cities, it's right in the middle of it. That school is one of the better Catholic elementary schools. It's beyond imagining for me how you would recover from something like this because there's something very particular about the targetiong that happened here. This wasn't just about prayer. This was a Catholic mass, which, if you're a Catholic, is the central part of your religious practice and it's sacred....

Tina Smith is latest DFL bloviator

Image
The first rule of holes doesn't apply to DFL politicians. To average people, the First Rule of Holes is "If you're in one, stop digging." When you're a DFL politician, though, that saying gets slightly modified to say "If you're in one, find me a bgger shovel." Today's DFL 'winner' is Sen. Tina Smith. This is what Tina said . Specifically, she said "Do not offer thoughts and prayers as you systematically enable such tragedies. Do not claim prayers are sufficient when children die as they pray. Do not pretend you do not understand." — Lydia, 16, Minneapolis" Apparently, Sen. Smith, (DFL-MN), doesn't understand the role that prayer plays in a Christian's life. Prayer is frequently used to get people through the difficult times in their lives. It's used to thank God for helping us through difficult times. Prayer is used to call the Holy Spirit into action to help loved ones or themselves make the right decisions. T...

Tim Walz won't help non-public schools, Donald Trump just did

Image
After reading this letter , it's impossible to think that Tim Walz doesn't hate any schools that aren't public schools. It's impossible to know why he hates nonpublic schools, though I have a theory on that. It's difficult to think of this hatred without taking into consideration Gov. Walz's time as a unionized teacher. Then again, it's possible that he's just thinking in terms who funds his campaigns, aka Education Minnesota. First, the letter was written by MINNDEPENDENT president Tim Benz and Minnesota Catholic Conference (MCC) executive director Jason Adkins. Next, it's important to note that this letter was written at a time when Minnesota had a projected $18,000,000,000 surplus. Now, let's dig into this letter. Benz and Adkins wrote "We are writing on behalf of our respective organizations regarding the urgent and critical need in Minnesota to make sure our schools are secure and safe considering the most recent, and continuing attacks...

The Democrats' biggest crisis

Image
Since minutes after the networks announced that President Trump had clinched the votes to become President-Elect Trump, Democrats have tried figuring out who they are. One wing of the Democrat Party insists that the people expect them to fight President Trump every step of the way. If Trump says there isn't a cloud in the sky, Democrats feel obligated to say that it's cloudy with a 60% chance of thunderstorms. If Trump says that Washington, DC has a crime problem, some Democrat politicians insist that crime is dropping, then following up by declaring that Trump is an authoritarian. There's just one problem with that idiotic Democrat strategy. Her name is Muriel Bowser and she's the mayor of Washington, DC, which is our nation's capitol. She's actually thanked President Trump for sending additional troops to DC. She didn't say the Trump plan was flawless. She simply said the additional troops helped MPD make DC a safer city. This news report is accurate in de...

Rebutting Rep. Brad Tabke's argument

Image
DFL Rep. Brad Tabke took the opportunity yesterday to criticize Speaker Lisa Demuth for not helping the DFL pass another meaningless gun control bill to reduce "gun violence." I didn't realize that guns could fire themselves. It was predictable that the DFL a) wouldn't take 24 hours before returning to their gun control message and b) would belittle prayer. Let's notice that this was a troubled young man. He identified as a woman, which is why he changed his name from Robert to Robin. Then again, he wrote in his manifesto that he "was tired of being trans" and wished he "never brain-washed" himself . Republican Sen. Nathan Wesenberg nailed it when he said "We must demand a cultural shift: away from appeasing confusion and toward confronting the mental health crisis with honesty, courage, and truth. We must also face the truth about gun control: it failed today, and it fails every day. Red flag laws did nothing to prevent this shooting. Th...

Clarissa Garcia's lesson to the sophisticates Plus Update

Image
Clarissa Garcia, a fifth grade student at Annunciation, apparently wise beyond her years. According to this article , "Clarissa was praying." Let's put that in complete context. In that paragraph, it says "A different teacher took Clarissa and others to a preschool classroom downstairs. All the while, Clarissa was praying. 'I hope nobody got, like, killed or something like that or, like, hurt. I was just praying if everybody could be safe and, like, nobody would do this again,' Clarissa said." This might sound controversial but it isn't. Yesterday's attack might've been much worse. Had the shooter stepped inside the church before openiong fire, it would've been much bloodier. There wouldn't have been 19 killed or wounded. It would've been double or triple that. Reunification Once the church was secure, everyone went to a designated reunification area. Suzanne Garcia, Clarissa’s mother, said she was at work at a different school wh...

Annunciation Catholic School is a school with a mission

Annunciation Catholic School Principal Matt DeBoer is a man with a mission. Specifically, he's a man with a divine mission. in this video, Principal DeBoer referred to a passage in the Old Testament book of Jeremiah: Specifically, he mentioned Jeremiah chapter 29. I know that passage well, though I can't recite it by heart. Jeremiah 29:11-14 says : For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back from your captivity; I will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you to the place from which I cause you to be carried away captive. Anunciation Catholic School isn't in the same type of captivity as Israel wa...

Mark Penn: why were border, crime allowed to fester?

Image
Mark Penn's tweet is the timeliest question of the day without knowing what would happen this morning. Penn commented "So one has to wonder why these issues like the open border and high urban crime problems were allowed to fester rather than be tackled head on. And even obviously exacerbated for a few years resulting in tens of thousands of deaths." This morning's school shooting at Annunciation Roman Catholic Church in south Minneapolis is a reminder that taking a hands-off approach to crimefighting doesn't work. The frustrating part is that we know what works. Enforcing the law is required. It isn't important. It isn't a best practices issue. If law enforcement doesn't get anything else right, let them enforce the laws consistently. We don't need to re-imagine policing, whether it's at the border or in the Heartland. The stuff we did in the 1950s worked for Rudy Giuliani in the 1990s, too. Whether you call it Broken Windows or something el...

Breaking: School shooting in South Minneapolis

Image
Fox News is reporting "A shooting was reported Wednesday at the Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis, according to the state's governor, Tim Walz." Fox9, the Fox affiliate in Minneapolis, is reporting "A shooting has been reported at Annunciation Church and Catholic School in Minneapolis. FOX 9 sources confirm the suspect is dead and authorities say there is no active threat to the community." Fox9 is also reporting "The Richfield Police Department is reporting there are up to 20 victims. 'A man dressed in all black and armed with a rifle was reported at the scene,' the Richfield PD said." According to Fox9, "The church and school are on the 500 block of West 54th Street in south Minneapolis, near the intersection of 54th and Lyndale." KARE11 is reporting "Authorities said the shooter has since been 'contained'and there's no lingering threat to the public. An army of police and paramedics arrived at Annunci...

Tim Walz insists that Kamala Harris is an “adult with compassion and dignity and vision and leadership

Image
You can't say that Tim Walz doesn't have a fertile imagination, especially after he told the people gathered at the DNC's summer meeting in Minneapolis that former VP Kamala Harris is "an 'adult with compassion and dignity and vision and leadership.'" After VP Harris was named border czar, she visited the border once. Even then, she visited El Paso, which was 500+ miles from where the action was. That isn't leadership. That's timidity. Who can forget Harris's word salads? They were hideous proof that her communications skills were virtually nonexistent. You can't lead if you can't communicate. Former VP Harris can't communicate with normal people. Then again, Democrats just spent $10,000,000 on consultants to teach them how to talk like normal people. Gov. Walz, Minnesota's Democrat governor, is contemplating whether to run for a third term as governor. First, he should consider whether he's too nasty to be governor. During...

Pharmacists file lawsuit against Walgreens, Minnesota Board of Pharmacy

A pair of pharmacists have filed a lawsuit against Walgreens and the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy "when they refused to dispense gender transition medications due to religious reasons." Fox9 is reporting that "Dr. Dora Ig-Izevbekhai and Dr. Rachel Scott filed a lawsuit against Walgreens and the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy" in "the United States District Court of Minnesota." They filed this lawsuit after "they refused to dispense gender transition medications due to religious reasons." According to Fox9's reporting, "Walgreens responded to Dr. Scott and stated it was against Minnesota law to decline dispensing gender transition medication on religious grounds and denied her request." The First Amendment is always relevant in determining what's unconstitutional or what's permissible. Minnesota's Constitution doesn't trump the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. A little tutorial is instructive in this instance. ...

Ken Martin to DNC: We're bringing a pencil to a knife fight

Image
As Chair of the Democrat National Committee, Ken Martin is upset with his foot soldiers, his officers and hisa generals. During a fiery speech on the opening day of the DNC's summer meeting, Martin told a fired up audience "he was 'sick' of the Democrats 'bringing a pencil to a knife fight.'" After that, Martin "urged fellow Democrats to 'stand up and fight.'" Then he asked "Are you ready to take back our country from the wannabe-king in the White House?" I'd suggest that Democrats should pay attention to the American people (you know, the ones who are here legally) and listen to the things that they're insisting upon. At this point, Democrats are complaining about President Trump ridding our nation's capitol of crime. Democrats insist that Washington, DC doesn't have a crime problem. That's malarkey. For the first time in DC history, DC went 12 straight days without a murder. Tim Walz, Minnesota's faile...

Keith Ellison's dangerous euphemisms

Image
Keith Ellison, like most DFL activists, utilize lots of euphemisms that make their ideas sound less toxic. This Alpha News article illustrates the DFL's reliance on euphemisms perfectly. It quotes Ellison as saying "Minnesota sued Donald Trump. Donald Trump and Pam Bondi were threatening to sue me. I sued them first because of this issue of them trying to exclude transgender athletes." Notice how smooth that sounds. Who can be against transgender athletes' civil rights, right? Except that isn't what President Trump was doing. President Trump opposed biological males competing in girls' sports. What AG Ellison intentionally omitted is how parents of teenage girls worry when biological males 'share' a bathroom or lockerroom with these parents' daughters. To activists like Ellison, these parents' legitimate concerns are irrelevant. Ellison's ideology is the only thing that matters to Ellison and the DFL. Ellison's other trick : The two-te...

Let the DFL circular firing squad intensify

Image
House GOP Whip Tom Emmer has been highlighting the trouble brewing in Minneapolis since the DFL mayoral endorsing convention ended in turmoil. Reports state that the DFL civil war is in the process of turning into a full-fledged DFL circular firing squad. The latest controversy is a story that will haunt Omar Fateh if he loses. Fox News is reporting "Democratic socialist and Minneapolis mayoral candidate Omar Fateh, a Somali American, is being knocked for holding a political rally in a foreign language that appeared entirely devoid of any American flags." After the rally, Rep. Emmer said "This is the least shocking news: There were almost no American flags at a @OmarFatehMN rally. Palestinian stickers were the main focus instead. That’s what you get when Democrats back a candidate who puts America last, hands out benefits to illegals, and pushes to defund the police." The quiet part about Fateh rallies is that they represent 'the hater wing of the DFL': Pop...

Keith Ellison, Minnesota's soft-on-crime Attorney General, defends Letitia James

Image
It isn't shocking to read Minnesota's DFL Attorney General is defending Letitia James, New York State's hyper-partisan, ultra-liberal Attorney General. Ellison's tweet is especially sarcastic. AG Ellison signed onto a letter that states "As the attorneys general of our respective states, we know that the people rely on prosecutorial authorities to wield the powers of government to protect the public interest, without fear or favor. Deploying the power of government in pursuit of personal vendettas, to achieve political ends or to thwart the enforcement of state law is an abuse of that trust." That's rather sarcastic, especially considering the fact that Letitia James told her political supporters that she was going to "Get Trump." Let's remember that she promised to do that without mentioning whether President Trump had committed a crime. Let's be clear. This wasn't a legitimate use of government authority. It was a personal vendetta...

KARE11's A.J. Legoe unearths more trouble for DFL

Image
Buried deep within this article is something that should disturb every Minnesotan. According to A.J. Legoe's article, he wrote "KARE’s investigation has now discovered DHS was repeatedly warned about Start Today Hennepin’s billing practices for more than a year , including that at least three clients had been billed after they had died." That paragraph opens up a bunch of questions. First, are the people at Minnesota's Department of Human Services that disinterested in their job that they ignored these warnings? Next, how likely is it that these Department of Human Services got corrupted? I'd hate to think that they were getting kickbacks from Start Today Hennepin but it's something that must be investigated. Third, is the Minnesota Deparrtment of Human Services investigating what went wrong? Fourth, have any workers gotten disciplined because of this? If not, why not? Fifth, why did it take so long to shut down this for-profit company. After all, "This ...

Jonathan Turley eviscerates Arthur Engoron

Image
Judge Arthur Engoron will soon be seen as an historic figure. The bad news for Judge Engoron is that he's historic for the wrong reasons. Jonathan Turley made certain opf Judge Engoron's infamy in the opening paragraphs of this op-ed . In opening his Fox News op-ed, Turley wrote "n New York, a court revealed that a leading citizen had cooked the books by inflating questionable figures without any support in reality. Moreover, his wild overvaluation was widely viewed as motivated by his self-aggrandizement. The final reported figures are so absurdly inflated that they were rejected in their entirety. In the end, he was off by over half a billion dollars. That man is Judge Arthur Engoron. " From there, Prof. Turley's evisceration of Judge Engoron started in earnest. Turley wrote "After a New York appellate court unanimously threw out Engoron’s absurd half-a-billion-dollar judgment and interest against President Donald Trump, the irony was crushing. It was Engor...

Medicaid fraud with a new twist

Image
When it comes to being creative in ripping off Medicaid, companies, NGOs and nonprofits can get mighty creative. Investigative reporter A.J. Legoe has discovered another way companies are ripping off Medicaid by outsmarting the Walz administration. Legoe is reporting "Records obtained by KARE 11 reveal that Minneapolis-based Start Today Hennepin (STH), a for-profit housing support company, billed Medicaid for services supposedly provided to Realanda Rowland, a chronically homeless Native woman, on the day she died and for three consecutive weeks after her death in October 2022." I didn't realize all of the opportunities open to grifters. The possibilities are limitless. A.J. Legoe's report continues, saying "Video from a Montana funeral service confirms Rowland was buried on October 25, 2022. That same day, records obtained by KARE 11 show STH submitted Medicaid claims for helping her 'sustain housing.'" Perhaps DHS should teach their employees that...

Ilhan Omar jumps into Omar Fateh-Jacob Frey-DFL civil war

Image
Thursday night, things went from unsettled to crazy, then to outright civil war in the Minneapolis mayoral food fight. Just when you thought it couldn't get worse, Ilhan Omar jumped into the fight. Now it's ratcheted up from a DFL civil war to thermonuclear holocaust. Rep. Omar jumped  on Twitter and said "It is inexcusable to overturn the DFL endorsement from Omar Fateh. A small group, a majority living outside Minneapolis, met privately to overturn the will of Minneapolis delegates who volunteered, organized, and participated in a months-long DFL process. Unacceptable. " What's inexcusable is the fact that the State DFL, not the Minneapolis DFL, said that vote-counting mistakes of the magnitude that've already been reported on happened. Mike Erlandson said that 25% of first ballot votes weren't counted . That's inexcusable. For that matter, things don't look like they'll get better for the DFL anytime soon. is reporting "Fateh’s campai...

Housing Stabilization Services cost to taxpayers is growing

Image
The cost of Medicaid fraud keeps climbing each week. Each week, additional reports come out highlighting something new that we didn't know about Medicaid fraud. This week, KSTP's Callan Gray filed this report on "how much the Housing Stabilization Services program fraud could cost taxpayers." According to Miss Gray's reporting, "5 EYEWITNESS NEWS has been pressing the state agency for answers since the announcement. In a response on Thursday, DHS said the 77 providers had collectively billed and received $88,029,185 for HSS services since 2020. The state agency added, however, 'it is not accurate to conclude that the full amount paid to these providers constitutes fraudulent activity. A payment withhold is a temporary action that is implemented until the fraud allegations are resolved.'" It's more than a little distracting to find out that Gov. Walz's administration didn't implement front end controls to prevent fraud. This video i...

DFL to Omar Fateh: the endorsement is vacated

Image
A month ago (July 10,20215), I wrote this article about State Sen. Omar Fateh after he'd supposedly won the DFL's endorsement to be Minneapolis's next mayor. Fast forward 32 days. Life has quickly changed for Sen. Fateh. He's no longer the DFL-endorsed candidate for mayor due to a slew of irregularities. KSTP is reporting "The Minnesota DFL vacated its endorsement of State Sen. Omar Fateh for Minneapolis mayor after a review panel found glaring flaws in the voting process. A flurry of challenges were submitted to the state DFL in the wake of last month’s Minneapolis DFL Convention, pointing out issues with the electronic voting system and questioning whether a quorum was present for the final ballot that clinched Fateh’s endorsement over incumbent Jacob Frey." These irregularities aren't routine errors, either. These were transformative, game-changing mistakes. These operational mistakes play into the DFL's reputation of not being able to get things ...

Democrats worried about voter registration data

Image
Democrats have a reason to be worried about their brand, according to this article . The article paints a gloomy picture for Democrats. According to the article, "A devastating New York Times report Wednesday showed that of the 30 states that maintain voter registration records by political party, Democrats fell behind Republicans in all of them between the 2020 and 2024 elections." While polls ebb and flow, voter registration figures are more stable. Right now, they're painting a picture that isn't satisfying. The Hill is reporting "The data comes as Democrats struggle to figure out how to get out of the political wilderness after losing the presidency to Donald Trump and control of both chambers of Congress to the GOP." The voter registration numbers paint a bleak picture but it's puzzling to read "California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) has found traction with attacks on Trump, mimicking the president on social media and energizing many in his party....

Barack Obama talks redistricting, gerrymandering

Image
When it comes to audacity, there's none in the Obama family. He got all of it. Former President Barack Obama made his comments at a fundraiser in Martha's Vineyard Tuesday night. It's fitting that Obama's comments covered redistricting, gerrymandering and the Democrats' political strategy for the midterm elections . At the fundraiser, President Obama said "I believe that Gov. Newsom’s approach is a responsible approach. He said this is going to be responsible. We’re not going to try to completely maximize it." Why should I trust the man from the most gerrymandered state in the union? The worst thing that ever happened to President Obama is Donald Trump's victory in 2016. Trump essentially dismantled President Obama's legislative agenda. Then President Trump highlighted how life had improved for people. When Trump predicted lower gas prices, Obama said "You can't drill your way to cheaper prices." Immediately after that, the Trump admi...

Kristin Robbins' strong entry into MN governor's race

Image
Kristin Robbins' official entry into next year's gubernatorial election got off to a solid start. Alpha News is reporting "As politicos in and around the Minnesota Capitol continue to speculate on whether Tim Walz will run for a third term as governor, a new Republican candidate has entered the race. And Kristin Robbins isn’t waiting for Walz to make up his mind." Robbins' initial campaign ad focuses on "fighting fraud, cutting taxes, supporting our police, strengthening schools, and bringing back common sense leadership." Rep. Robbins' priorities sound familiar. She isn't the only gubernatorial candidate to prioritize those things. At thins point, it's looking less likely than originally thought that Gov. Walz is getting into the race. Initially, he said that he'd likely make a decision after the legislative session. When the DFL got in the way of finishing on time, Gov. Walz said he'd likely decide after the special session. Now th...
