KARE11's A.J. Legoe unearths more trouble for DFL

Image
Buried deep within this article is something that should disturb every Minnesotan. According to A.J. Legoe's article, he wrote "KARE’s investigation has now discovered DHS was repeatedly warned about Start Today Hennepin’s billing practices for more than a year , including that at least three clients had been billed after they had died." That paragraph opens up a bunch of questions. First, are the people at Minnesota's Department of Human Services that disinterested in their job that they ignored these warnings? Next, how likely is it that these Department of Human Services got corrupted? I'd hate to think that they were getting kickbacks from Start Today Hennepin but it's something that must be investigated. Third, is the Minnesota Deparrtment of Human Services investigating what went wrong? Fourth, have any workers gotten disciplined because of this? If not, why not? Fifth, why did it take so long to shut down this for-profit company. After all, "This ...

Jonathan Turley eviscerates Arthur Engoron

Image
Judge Arthur Engoron will soon be seen as an historic figure. The bad news for Judge Engoron is that he's historic for the wrong reasons. Jonathan Turley made certain opf Judge Engoron's infamy in the opening paragraphs of this op-ed . In opening his Fox News op-ed, Turley wrote "n New York, a court revealed that a leading citizen had cooked the books by inflating questionable figures without any support in reality. Moreover, his wild overvaluation was widely viewed as motivated by his self-aggrandizement. The final reported figures are so absurdly inflated that they were rejected in their entirety. In the end, he was off by over half a billion dollars. That man is Judge Arthur Engoron. " From there, Prof. Turley's evisceration of Judge Engoron started in earnest. Turley wrote "After a New York appellate court unanimously threw out Engoron’s absurd half-a-billion-dollar judgment and interest against President Donald Trump, the irony was crushing. It was Engor...

Medicaid fraud with a new twist

Image
When it comes to being creative in ripping off Medicaid, companies, NGOs and nonprofits can get mighty creative. Investigative reporter A.J. Legoe has discovered another way companies are ripping off Medicaid by outsmarting the Walz administration. Legoe is reporting "Records obtained by KARE 11 reveal that Minneapolis-based Start Today Hennepin (STH), a for-profit housing support company, billed Medicaid for services supposedly provided to Realanda Rowland, a chronically homeless Native woman, on the day she died and for three consecutive weeks after her death in October 2022." I didn't realize all of the opportunities open to grifters. The possibilities are limitless. A.J. Legoe's report continues, saying "Video from a Montana funeral service confirms Rowland was buried on October 25, 2022. That same day, records obtained by KARE 11 show STH submitted Medicaid claims for helping her 'sustain housing.'" Perhaps DHS should teach their employees that...

Ilhan Omar jumps into Omar Fateh-Jacob Frey-DFL civil war

Image
Thursday night, things went from unsettled to crazy, then to outright civil war in the Minneapolis mayoral food fight. Just when you thought it couldn't get worse, Ilhan Omar jumped into the fight. Now it's ratcheted up from a DFL civil war to thermonuclear holocaust. Rep. Omar jumped  on Twitter and said "It is inexcusable to overturn the DFL endorsement from Omar Fateh. A small group, a majority living outside Minneapolis, met privately to overturn the will of Minneapolis delegates who volunteered, organized, and participated in a months-long DFL process. Unacceptable. " What's inexcusable is the fact that the State DFL, not the Minneapolis DFL, said that vote-counting mistakes of the magnitude that've already been reported on happened. Mike Erlandson said that 25% of first ballot votes weren't counted . That's inexcusable. For that matter, things don't look like they'll get better for the DFL anytime soon. is reporting "Fateh’s campai...

Housing Stabilization Services cost to taxpayers is growing

Image
The cost of Medicaid fraud keeps climbing each week. Each week, additional reports come out highlighting something new that we didn't know about Medicaid fraud. This week, KSTP's Callan Gray filed this report on "how much the Housing Stabilization Services program fraud could cost taxpayers." According to Miss Gray's reporting, "5 EYEWITNESS NEWS has been pressing the state agency for answers since the announcement. In a response on Thursday, DHS said the 77 providers had collectively billed and received $88,029,185 for HSS services since 2020. The state agency added, however, 'it is not accurate to conclude that the full amount paid to these providers constitutes fraudulent activity. A payment withhold is a temporary action that is implemented until the fraud allegations are resolved.'" It's more than a little distracting to find out that Gov. Walz's administration didn't implement front end controls to prevent fraud. This video i...

DFL to Omar Fateh: the endorsement is vacated

Image
A month ago (July 10,20215), I wrote this article about State Sen. Omar Fateh after he'd supposedly won the DFL's endorsement to be Minneapolis's next mayor. Fast forward 32 days. Life has quickly changed for Sen. Fateh. He's no longer the DFL-endorsed candidate for mayor due to a slew of irregularities. KSTP is reporting "The Minnesota DFL vacated its endorsement of State Sen. Omar Fateh for Minneapolis mayor after a review panel found glaring flaws in the voting process. A flurry of challenges were submitted to the state DFL in the wake of last month’s Minneapolis DFL Convention, pointing out issues with the electronic voting system and questioning whether a quorum was present for the final ballot that clinched Fateh’s endorsement over incumbent Jacob Frey." These irregularities aren't routine errors, either. These were transformative, game-changing mistakes. These operational mistakes play into the DFL's reputation of not being able to get things ...

Democrats worried about voter registration data

Image
Democrats have a reason to be worried about their brand, according to this article . The article paints a gloomy picture for Democrats. According to the article, "A devastating New York Times report Wednesday showed that of the 30 states that maintain voter registration records by political party, Democrats fell behind Republicans in all of them between the 2020 and 2024 elections." While polls ebb and flow, voter registration figures are more stable. Right now, they're painting a picture that isn't satisfying. The Hill is reporting "The data comes as Democrats struggle to figure out how to get out of the political wilderness after losing the presidency to Donald Trump and control of both chambers of Congress to the GOP." The voter registration numbers paint a bleak picture but it's puzzling to read "California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) has found traction with attacks on Trump, mimicking the president on social media and energizing many in his party....

Barack Obama talks redistricting, gerrymandering

Image
When it comes to audacity, there's none in the Obama family. He got all of it. Former President Barack Obama made his comments at a fundraiser in Martha's Vineyard Tuesday night. It's fitting that Obama's comments covered redistricting, gerrymandering and the Democrats' political strategy for the midterm elections . At the fundraiser, President Obama said "I believe that Gov. Newsom’s approach is a responsible approach. He said this is going to be responsible. We’re not going to try to completely maximize it." Why should I trust the man from the most gerrymandered state in the union? The worst thing that ever happened to President Obama is Donald Trump's victory in 2016. Trump essentially dismantled President Obama's legislative agenda. Then President Trump highlighted how life had improved for people. When Trump predicted lower gas prices, Obama said "You can't drill your way to cheaper prices." Immediately after that, the Trump admi...

Kristin Robbins' strong entry into MN governor's race

Image
Kristin Robbins' official entry into next year's gubernatorial election got off to a solid start. Alpha News is reporting "As politicos in and around the Minnesota Capitol continue to speculate on whether Tim Walz will run for a third term as governor, a new Republican candidate has entered the race. And Kristin Robbins isn’t waiting for Walz to make up his mind." Robbins' initial campaign ad focuses on "fighting fraud, cutting taxes, supporting our police, strengthening schools, and bringing back common sense leadership." Rep. Robbins' priorities sound familiar. She isn't the only gubernatorial candidate to prioritize those things. At thins point, it's looking less likely than originally thought that Gov. Walz is getting into the race. Initially, he said that he'd likely make a decision after the legislative session. When the DFL got in the way of finishing on time, Gov. Walz said he'd likely decide after the special session. Now th...

The Democrats' continuing fundraising crisis

Image
Saying that Democrats have a fundraising/cash-on-hand crisis is repetitive. It isn't news anymore. Alpha News is reporting "Weighed down by lingering debt from the 2024 presidential election and low donor enthusiasm, the DNC reported just $15 million on hand by the end of June, marking the lowest number for Democrats in five years, according to Politico. By comparison, the Republican National Committee (RNC) reported nearly $80 million on hand, creating a gap nearly twice as wide as it was at the same point in President Donald Trump’s first term." That's just part of the story. Alpha is also reporting "The DNC spent $15.8 million on expenses tied to former Vice President Kamala Harris’s failed 2024 presidential campaign. The Harris campaign reportedly ended with approximately $20 million in debt, after burning through roughly $1.5 billion in just 15 weeks to take on Trump." That still isn't all that's horrific for Democrsts. Check this out: The sup...

Gavin Newsom's disgusting picture

Image
I thought I'd seen everything in my life. Then I saw this disgusting picture on Twitter. Someone named TheFrenchie published a tweet that said "The fact that FoxNews is publicly asking Newsom to stop his very funny mockery of Trump proves that it's working. We will continue. He wears it better than Trump. Do you agree?💙" This is the picture that TheFrenchie is asking about: That TheFrenchie thinks that this is funny is sick enough. The fact that Gavin Newsom had this picture intentionally taken tells me that he's a totally sick puppy. Salena Zito's reply: Someone died that’s why it’s not funny https://t.co/u6nd52KlPH — ZitoSalena (@ZitoSalena) August 20, 2025 Gov. Newsom a) doesn't have a soul and b) doesn't have a brain. TheFrenchie thinks that this is funny? I'm betting that Gov. Newsom thinks that it's funny, too. This statue is a fitting tribute to Corey Comperatore, the firefighter who died protecting his family from the would-be assass...

What if Putin won't meet with Zelenskyy?

Image
The BBC is reporting that Vladimir Putin might not be interested in meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. If Putin is just downplaying things to dampen the momentum from Monday's White House summit, that's understandable. If he's serious about not meeting President Zelenskyy, then it's time to demolish Russia's economy. President Trump has pressure on him, too. After all of his talk about children dying, he can't afford to do nothing. Doing nothing will make him look like he's caving to Putin. Doing nothing will feed the storyline that President Trump talks a great game but flinches when the game's on the line. Frankly, that's why I can't picture President Trump settling for doing nothing. Secretary Rubio said that they hadn't pulled the trigger on sanctions after the Alaska Summit because that would've ended negotiations. That makes sense from the standpoint of not wanting to end negotiations. If, however, Putin isn't...

Exposing Gavin Newsom's deception

Image
Rumors are spreading that Gavin Newsom's Press Office account on Twitter/X are being done by children. Those rumors are spreading because it's difficult to picture adults typing the juvenile tweets being published on Gov. Newsom's Press Office timeline. For instance, the Gavin Newsom Press Office tweet about Dana Perino says "DANA 'DING DONG' PERINO (NEVER HEARD OF HER UNTIL TODAY!) IS MELTING DOWN BECAUSE OF ME, GAVIN C. NEWSOM! FOX HATES THAT I AM AMERICA’S MOST FAVORITE GOVERNOR ("RATINGS KING") SAVING AMERICA — WHILE TRUMP CAN’T EVEN CONQUER THE 'BIG' STAIRS ON AIR FORCE ONE ANYMORE!!! TRUMP HAS 'LOST HIS STEP' AND FOX IS LOSING IT BECAUSE WHEN I TYPE, AMERICA NOW WINS!!! THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER. — GCN" First, only a blithering idiot doesn't know who Dana Perino is. She was the White House Press Secretary when Gov. Newsom was Mayor Newsom. Then she co-hosated The Five with Greg Gutfeld, which is still ...

Judge Leonardo Castro strikes down 2024 Minnesota Omnibus Bill

Image
When the Minnesota Gun Owners Caucus filed a lawsuit against the 2024 Minnesota Omnibus Bill, they argued that the bill violated the Minnesota Constitution’s single-subject clause . In his ruling, Judge Castro wrote "The 2024 Omnibus Bill violates the Single Subject and Title Clause, because, at best, it contains many non-germane parts, and at worst, has no identifiable common theme. Therefore, Plaintiff’s Motion for Summary Judgment must be granted, and the only question is which remedy is appropriate: wholesale invalidation of the 2024 Omnibus Bill or severance of the offending portion now before the Court." Judge Castro continued, writing "But make no mistake, during the late hours of May 19, 2024, lawmaking did not ‘occur within the framework of the Constitution." The entire bill should be thrown out. According to Minnesota's Constitution, the subject is determined by what's in the title line. This Omnibus bill covered multiple distinct subjects in addit...

Donald Trump's, Volodymyr Zelensky's excellent meeting

Image
What a difference 6 months make. In February, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the White House. Things didn't go well. Monday, Zelenskyy visited the White House again. Thia time, things went much smoother for Ukraine's president. CBS is reporting "President Trump hosted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and European leaders at the White House on Monday, an event the U.S. president called 'a very good, early step' to possibly resolve the war in Ukraine." CBS is also reporting "The leaders showed unity, with Zelenskyy and European allies stressing the need for security guarantees in an eventual peace deal to deter Russia from invading in the future. Mr. Trump said any guarantees would involve U.S. 'coordination.'" The emphasis on security guarantees is a major part of reaching agreement with Russia because nobody trusts President Putin, nor should they trust Putin. The emphasis on security guarantees indicates that it'...

Ken Martin asks if we're better off today than Jan. 19, 2025

Image
With prices dropping and the border secure, DNC Chair Ken Martin foolishly asked "do you honestly feel better off today than you were at the beginning of the year?" What a foolish question. Speaking for myself, the answer is a resounding 'Definitely.' First, grocery prices have kept dropping, especially eggs, vegetables and healthy snacks. As a senior citizen living on a fixed income, I've had more money left at the end of each month since President Trump took office than I had during the last 2 years of Bidenflation/Bidenomics. That's just part of the story, though. Since taking office, President Trump has brought home hostages at a faster rate than Joe Biden could've imagined possible. Further, Trump stopped the ilegal alien inmigration invasion dead in its tracks. These days, the invasion is finished. Federal authorities have started prosecuting Medicaid fraud, especially in Minnesota, where fraud is running rampant. Meanwhile, Democrats can't dec...

Alan Dershowitz: Don't reward Hamas terrorism

Image
Alan Dershowitz knows his way around the Middle East. He knows that Hamas won't negotiate in good faith with Israel. That's because Hamas is a ruthles, almost barbaric, tribe. That's right; they aren't a nation. Prof. Dershowitz has written this op-ed , which the Jerusalem Post has published. In his op-ed, Prof. Dershowitz quotes U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio as saying "Talks with Hamas fell apart on the day Macron made the unilateral decision that he’s going to recognize the Palestinian state...So those messages, while largely symbolic in their minds, actually have made it harder to get peace and harder to achieve a deal with Hamas." President Macron and Prime Minister Starmer should get lectured today after today's debriefing/strategy session. As for achieving a deal with Hamas, that's impossible. Their hatred of all things Jewish is too intense to overcome. In his op-ed, Dershowitz also wrote "Both US President Donald Trump and his envoy ...

How Republicans should capitalize on the State Fair

Image
If the MNGOP was strategically wise, they'd utilize this year's State Fair to highlight the quality of their gubernatorial candidates. If the GOP was strategically wise, they'd host a gubernatorial debate or forum at the State Fair. The positives are obvious. Where else can these candidates get their message in front of that many people in a single afternoon? A confident candidate with a positive message could put their campaign into high gear with a strong performance. There really isn't a downside for the candidates or the MNGOP. To the candidates that don't stand out, the good news is that there are lots of other events that might help them recover. Further, it's just short of a year out from the GOP State Convention. The MNGOP should take advantage of the Minnesota Game Fair and FarmFest , too. The MNGOP should recruit debate/forum hosts like Mitch Berg, Jack Tomczak and Liz Collin. Getting our candidates in front of different audiences in different setting...

Biblical masculinity vs. DEI masculinity

Image
Chalk up another victory for the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Alpha News highlighted the difference between 'DEI masculinity' and biblical masculinity by reporting on a federal lawsuit filed by Anthony Schmitt. Alpha's report said "Last year, Anthony Schmitt filed a lawsuit against the Minnesota Department of Corrections (DOC) after the agency barred a class called 'The Quest for Authentic Manhood' from being taught at Minnesota Correctional Facility-St. Cloud. Schmitt had taught the course to over a thousand inmates between 2012 and 2023. " The question is simple. If he taught this course for 12 years without incident, what changed that suddenly made the class toxic? Alpha reports "Assistant Commissioner Robertus wrote, 'The program directly conflicts with the diversity, equity, and inclusivity values of the department by defining manhood, or the study of masculinity, through a biblical lens of what a 'real man looks like.'"...

Gavin Newsom v. Alexandra Macedo, California Citizens Redistricting Commission

Image
If anyone accused Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom of being bright and honest, they must've been high at the time. When it comes to integrity, he doesn't have it. In his latest anti-redistricting rant, Newsom argued that California's legislature has the authority to do the redistricting. They don't. After thje 2020 census, the redistricting was done by the California Citizens Redistricting Commission. That's the first strike against Gov. Newsom's redistricting plan. The other strike against Gov. Newsom is State Assemblywoman Alexandra Macedo of Tulare. Assemblywoman Macedo is the Vice-Chair of the Assembly Elections Committee. Based on the little that I've read about Assemblywoman Macedo, she sounds like a fighter. The last thing I think about Gov. Newsom is that he's a fighter. He's a pretty boy. That's a natural mismatch. Let's talk about the California Citizens Redistricting Commission. It wasn't created by the legislature so the legislatur...

Introducing Councilman Jeff Johnson

Image
It might seem like you know Jeff Johnson already. You do and you don't. You likely know the Jeff Johnson who was a Hennepin County Commissioner. Commissioner Jeff Johnson later ran for Minnesota Governor, first against Mark Dayton in 2014, then against Tim Walz in 2018. It's time to introduce you to St. Cloud City Councilman Jeff Johnson. Councilman Jeff got national recognition for fighting for a moratorium on the Refugee Resettlement Program in 2017. In his effort to find out how much the program would cost, especially in terms of resources like education, health care and housing, Councilman Jeff earned the animosity of organizations like CAIR-MN. CAIR-MN called him a racist. Nothing could be farther from the truth. The St. Cloud Times took CAIR-MN's bait. They nicknamed Councilman Jeff an axegrinder for wanting to know what St. Cloud was getting into financially. At a time when Tim Walz's administration is disinterested in programs like Feeding Our Future and Housing...

Tim Walz, Hope Walz; like father, like daughter edition

Image
A tradition from the 1950s or thereabouts was called 'Like father, like son.' These days, Democrats have chased away guys so that cliche to its low to should be 'Like wimpy father, like domineering daughter.' Putting that differently, Hope Walz is a know-it-all privileged child. She needs to because she's educated and indoctrinated instead of being wise. Hope Walz acts like a privileged white kid who thinks that all white people think that they're as privileged as she is. That isn't how this works. When she opened her mouth, she sounded like the person she described in her diatribe. The article reports "In a profanity-laced TikTok video, Hope Walz, 24, mocked the president’s decision to bring in 800 National Guard troops and assert federal control over D.C.’s Metropolitan Police Department. She called it 'Trump’s bitch baby wussy scaredy-cat behavior in D.C.'" The article says that she's a 24-year-old. Based on what she told her TikT...

Soft-On-Crime Sen. Schumer reveals Democrats' true priorities

Image
It's indisputable that Democrats hate President Trump. They hate President Trump to the point that they'll let Washington, DC, spiral into utter chaos rather than work with him in fixing DC's crime crisis. Yesterday, Sen. Schumer said something he shouldn't have said. Specifically, Sen. Schumer said "We’ll fight him tooth and nail. … He needs to get Congress to approve it, and not only are we not going to approve it, but there are some Republicans who don’t like it either. This is, again, just a distraction. He’s afraid of Epstein. He’s afraid of all that, and we are not going to give up on Epstein." Apparently, Epstein is the new Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax. Sen. Schumer and other Democrats must think the American people are simpletons, that we put a higher priority on tablois journaliam than we put on safe neighborhoods or affordable groceries or dropping energy prices. Sen. Schumer was interviewed by some nobody named Aaron Parnas. This is psart of that i...

Let's make DC safe, beautiful, again

Image
Moving with Trump Speed, President Trump's troops have had a positive impact on Washington, DC, our nation's capitol. This is what happens when someone who isn't from the government takes control of the Executive Branch. It's a beautiful thing, except to criminals. It's time we had a national capitol that lived up to President Reagan's 'Shining City on a Hill' image. According to Fox News's reporting , "Law enforcement officials have arrested a total of 103 individuals as of Wednesday morning since Aug. 7, which includes 43 who were arrested Tuesday, a White House official told Fox Digital Wednesday morning. The arrests are part of Trump’s March executive order, which established the Making DC Safe and Beautiful Task Force, ahead of Trump's Monday announcement federalizing the D.C. police department." By comparison, the first mention of President Trump's takeover of the DC Police force can't be found until 3 pages down on CBS...

Texas Democrats a) ran, b) hid and c) lost

Image
Ultimately, Democrat fleebaggers left the state to save democracy (the Democrats' spin) only to lose to Gov. Abbott. This NBC news report reports that "Texas Democrats met late into the night Tuesday then again Wednesday, including breaking into smaller groups, to discuss their next steps and what their ultimate exit strategy looked like after spending the last 10 days out of the state, according to four sources close to the talks." Democratic Caucus Chairman Gene Wu spoke to Meet the Press NOW, saying "Our commitment was only to kill this corrupt special session. What we will do, what we're going to do in the future, we're in discussions right now." That's nice spin but it's still a loss for Democrats. Democrats insist that they've got lots of options left even if they return to Texas. As I said before, This will be a loss for Democrats because Texas Republicans will draw a new map that'll give the GOP 5-6 additional seats in Congress....

Tim Walz's corrupt status quo

Image
If anyone is surprised that DFL Gov. Tim Walz likely hasn't had an original thought in awhile, this article should settle everything on that matter. The article reports that "Republican legislators are crying foul after Gov. Tim Walz appointed two new members of the University of Minnesota’s Board of Regents who are past donors to his campaign committee." It's perfectly in character for Tim Walz to pick cronies for these positions. The last thing Gov. Walz wants is fresh air introduced into the U of M Board of Regents. Let's first admit that Minnesota needs significant change. Next, let's admit that several major government departments need a major 'housecleaning' to get rid of the corruption that'sa built up in these departments. Specifically, I'm talking about major housecleanings for the Minnesota Department of Education, aka MDE, and the Minnesota Department of Human Services. Both are definitely in need of getting rid of corruption. MDE i...

Democrats insist that Washington, DC is safe

Image
When Anand Giridharadas said that he was "afraid that my children’s freedom to breathe will be stolen in a world where climate change policy is nonexistent," he identified himself as part of the not-too-bright left. Giridharadas then said "Crime is real. It is blown out of proportion. People are feeling much more unsafe than they statistically are—but the feeling matters. People deserve to be safe, but they also deserve to feel safe." Actually, they're less safe than they feel, at least in Washington, DC. Apparently, people are cooking the books in DC . People are saying that MPD upper management is turning felonies into misdemeanors, undercounting violent crime. If that's true, people are less safe than they feel. That's terrible news because they already feel unsafe. Elsewhere, Melissa Gira Grant wrote "As has become routine, Trump attempted to give legitimacy to his entirely gratuitous actions with executive orders, one declaring a nonexistent ...

The 2-State Solution mirage

Image
Anyone thinking that the traditional 2-State Solution that ends with Israel and the Palestinians living peacefully side-by-side likely has a substance abuse problem. It's either that or they weren't that bright to start with. Now that the latest virtue-signaling convention has started and finished, it's time for some well-deserved I-Told-You-So gestures. It's impossible to achieve a 2-state solution when the terrorists (Hamas) want to see another Holocaust except they want this Holocaust to eliminate the Jews. The Washingtin Free Beacon is reporting "Britain and France generated most of the headlines at this conference. Emmanuel Macron said just before it began that France will officially recognize 'Palestine' in September. This week, Sir Keir Starmer threatened to follow Macron's lead unless Israel halts its anti-Hamas campaign in Gaza. Canada's Mark Carney followed suit on Wednesday, pending some actions by the Palestinians." It's a sham...

Michael Pulliam vs. Greg Pemberton, corruption accusations fly edition

Image
Ever since Monday morning's presidential press conference, Democrats have criticized President Trump for taking over the DC PD, frequently accusing President Trump of being an authoritarian. Now that the Democrats' initial arguments are fading into oblivion, a new, more lethal, counterargument is emerging. The Washington Free Beacon's Alana Goodman has spearheaded the counterinsurgency with this article of DC police corruption . Goodman wrote "After President Donald Trump announced a federal crackdown on lawlessness in Washington, D.C., mainstream media outlets and Democratic politicians claimed violent crime in the nation’s capital has 'fallen sharply' and has reached a '30-year low.' Their claims, though, rest on questionable police data that local leaders are accused of falsifying to play down the city's violent crime problem. The Metropolitan Police Department recently suspended a commander for allegedly manipulating that data, a fact the mainst...
