Keith Ellison, Minnesota's soft-on-crime Attorney General, defends Letitia James

It isn't shocking to read Minnesota's DFL Attorney General is defending Letitia James, New York State's hyper-partisan, ultra-liberal Attorney General. Ellison's tweet is especially sarcastic. AG Ellison signed onto a letter that states "As the attorneys general of our respective states, we know that the people rely on prosecutorial authorities to wield the powers of government to protect the public interest, without fear or favor. Deploying the power of government in pursuit of personal vendettas, to achieve political ends or to thwart the enforcement of state law is an abuse of that trust."

That's rather sarcastic, especially considering the fact that Letitia James told her political supporters that she was going to "Get Trump." Let's remember that she promised to do that without mentioning whether President Trump had committed a crime. Let's be clear. This wasn't a legitimate use of government authority. It was a personal vendetta against the president of the United States. Listen to what Letitia James said in her typical stump speech about President Trump #45:

As a candidate, Letitia James said that she thought President Trump was an illegitimate president without presenting a bit of proof. That's what partisans say. Further, Letitia James said that Democrats needed to grow a spine and stand up to President Trump. Finally, Letitia James accused President Trump of committing unspecified crimes before she got into office.

That's who Keith Ellison, Minnesota's corrupt DFL state attorney general, is defending. That isn't seeking justice. That's seeking the old Soviet saying of "Show me the man and I'll find you the crime." That's authoritarianism in its most blatant form.

Read the entire text of the AGs' letter:

Keith Ellison is proof that Minnesota is going downhill. Ellison's beliefs aren't Minnesota's beliefs. Minnesota doesn't need a partisan like Keith Ellison as AG. Minnesota needs an AG who seeks justice first rather than an AG who puts partisanship first.
