Annunciation Catholic School is a school with a mission
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back from your captivity; I will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you to the place from which I cause you to be carried away captive.Anunciation Catholic School isn't in the same type of captivity as Israel was in the time Jeremiah. Anunciation's captivity is a spiritual captivity. Despite that, the LORD promises to give them "a future and a hope" but it comes with conditions. Specifically, God promises to bring them back from their spiritual captivity "when you search for Me with all your heart." In other words, prayer definitely works but only "when you search for Me with all your heart."
The children that were shot yesterday morning and their parents need to trust that the LORD has great plans for them. All they have to do is search for the LORD with all their hearts. The instant they do then, this community will find peace, not evil."
When Jen Psaki and Jacob Frey mock the power of prayer, they're actually ridiculing the all-powerful God that created the universe and everything that's in it. That's downright foolish.
It's indisputable that Anunciation Catholic Church is feeling a ton of pain. The good news is that God can't wait to lift that pain and put these people onto a path filled with peace and hope. The other great news is that we can pray for these families and put them on the path towards peace and hope. That sounds like the right thing to do. Let's do our part in rebuilding this church and this church's families.
