Ken Martin to DNC: We're bringing a pencil to a knife fight

As Chair of the Democrat National Committee, Ken Martin is upset with his foot soldiers, his officers and hisa generals. During a fiery speech on the opening day of the DNC's summer meeting, Martin told a fired up audience "he was 'sick' of the Democrats 'bringing a pencil to a knife fight.'"

After that, Martin "urged fellow Democrats to 'stand up and fight.'" Then he asked "Are you ready to take back our country from the wannabe-king in the White House?" I'd suggest that Democrats should pay attention to the American people (you know, the ones who are here legally) and listen to the things that they're insisting upon.

At this point, Democrats are complaining about President Trump ridding our nation's capitol of crime. Democrats insist that Washington, DC doesn't have a crime problem. That's malarkey. For the first time in DC history, DC went 12 straight days without a murder. Tim Walz, Minnesota's failed DFL governor who won't prevent Medicaid fraud, went on a mini-diatribe at the DNC summer meeting:

More from Martin:

Martin, who was elected DNC chair in February, addressed over 400 elected party officials from all 50 states and several territories at Monday's meeting, Fox News reported. "We're not going to have a hand tied behind our back anymore. Let's grow a damn spine and get in this fight, Democrats," Martin said.

"Let's fight. Let's win. And let's remake the world daily," Martin said.First, Democrats should pull their heads out of their behinds. Right now, most Republicans think Democrats aren't serious. Here's a podcast that shows why we don't take Democrats seriously:

Vince Dao is right. The average family offers a land acknowledgement right before breakfast. Telling Native Americans that we're holding a meeting on land stolen from Native Americans is perfectly natural!

What They're Saying:

DNC Chair Ken Martin, at the meeting: "Americans are hungry for leaders. They're hungry for candidates who are on the side of working people. They're hungry for leaders who give a damn about their circumstances, and they're hungry for a government that gives people freedom, not fascism."

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, at the meeting: "The press finds the need to talk about, 'Oh there's a division in the Democratic party.' There's a division in my damn house, and we're still married, and things are good. That's life. That's life. We are strong. We are strong because we challenge each other."

Senator Amy Klobuchar, at the meeting: "We're not joining that 'we suck club.' We're not getting sucked into it when they try to divide us on every single issue online, because we have a more important job to do. Complaining about each other to each other – it's not how we win again."

The people meeting in Minneapolis aren't Democrats. Harold Ford is a Democrat. He sounds nothing like Tim Walz or Amy Klobuchar. Harold Ford actually has ideas worthy of consideration. On The Five, he's constantly engaging in substantive debates. Brit Hume excoriates Tim Walz: Republicans need to work hard from today through Election Day. If Republicans work hard during that time, they should retain their DC Trifecta, whether Ken Martin's Democrats bring a pencil or a knife to a knife fight.
