The DNC's terrible, rotten, no-good summer meetings

Within the opening minutes of the DNC's Summer Meeting, held this year in Minneapolis, MN, it was obvious that the DNC wouldn't turn the page on last year's disastrous presidential election. No matter how hard Jessica Tarlov tries spinning things, the DNC isn't popular. BTW, Jessica Tarlov is the Democrats' fool on TV. That's compared to Scott Jennings, who goes nightlyl into the lion's den known as CNN and defeats CNN's liberal panelists, even when he's matched sgainst 3-4 far-left lunatics.

The DNC opened with a land acknowledgement. It swiftly went downhill after that. The land acknowledgement was delivered by Lindy Sowmick, a Minnesota Democrat and self-described "Indigenous queer woman". Indigenous queer woman? It must've been the DNC's check-all-the-boxes Day. This isn't proof that Democrats are a big-tent party. It's proof that they're a farcical bunch of misfits. But I digress.

AMAC is reporting that "Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, for instance, bragged that his state had 'sued Trump for gender-affirming care,' alluding to efforts to keep allowing doctors to prescribe puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and transgender surgeries to minors." TRANSLATION: Democrats are proud to prescribe medications that hurt the normal development of children, supposedly in the name of compassion. This isn't compassion. It's voodoo pseudoscience. There's a reason why Europe is re-thinking 'gender-affirming care':

The U.K. is not the only European country that is rethinking how to approach gender-affirming care for minors. Several countries, including traditionally more progressive nations like Sweden and Norway, are changing guidelines at least in part due to questions from some doctors about the risks of such procedures. The changes in Europe are occurring more often at the health care policy level initiated by medical professionals, rather than through new or adjusted laws pushed by legislators, and experts say they haven’t been politicized to the extent they have been in the U.S.
Voo-Doo Science?
“This is not a legal battle in Europe,” says CianĂ¡n Russell, a senior policy officer at ILGA-Europe, the European arm of the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association. Rather, "governments are changing guidelines or instructions to different institutions, or the institutions are changing their policies themselves."
To the extent it's possible, the U.S. trans movement is largely politician-driven. That's opposed to Europe, which appears to be more scientific-study driven.
In one of the more shameful moments of the meetings, DNC Chair Ken Martin withdrew his own resolution on the Israel-Gaza war amid backlash from the radical anti-Jewish wing of the party. The resolution was entirely symbolic and attempted to chart a middle course on the conflict, calling for more humanitarian aid to Gaza, an immediate ceasefire, release of hostages, and a two-state solution. But in a sign of how much power the antisemitic left has gained within the party, to the point where even a symbolic resolution stating Israel’s right to exist is unacceptable, Martin folded.
Martin is a wimp and people are noticing. This will be Martin's only term as DNC Chair. I don't know that he'll even preside over the Democrats' 2028 National Convention. Jessica Tarlov has done her best to make it sound like Democrats aren't a total mess. I'm not convinced. While the DCCC is doing fairly well, they're getting killed by the RNC and one of the Trump-related SuperPACs. The SuperPAC raised $177,000,000 in the first 6 months of this year.
