Another one bites the dust, Mayorkas impeachment edition
Sen. Schumer took to the Senate floor Wednesday and said that it wasn't a high crime or misdemeanor when Secretary Mayorkas intentionally and willingly ignored the properly enacted laws. He called it a policy dispute. That's world class spin. That isn't a policy dispute. In every city other than Washington, DC or NYC, that's called a crime.
Now that the trial has been improperly eliminated, it's time for John Q. Public to torment these senators for thumbing their nose at the Constitution. Sen. Schumer knows that Secretary Mayorkas and President Biden have frequently and intentionally rewritten immigration laws. Now that the trial has been disposed of, I hope groups of citizens organize protests against Jon Tester, Sherrod Brown and Ruben Gallegos for voting against conviction of Alejandro Mayorkas or the impeaching of Secretary Mayorkas.
I'm asking these citizens to obey the law while making these men's lives a living hell. When Maxine Waters told Democrats to make like life a living hell for Republicans, she didn't explain why other than because these cabinet officials were Republicans:
I'm asking for these senators to be criticized for not doing their jobs. Wednesday afternoon, these senators' job was to listen to the evidence collected during the House Homeland Security Committee's painstaking investigation, then render a verdict. Further, I want Sen. Schumer to be tormented daily for throwing this hissy fit: Sen. Braun, (R-IN), summed things up perfectly in this statement: It's time to throw these Democrat bums out this November. They voted in lockstep to say that cabinet secretaries could intentionally ignore properly enacted laws and face no consequences. Senate Democrats voted that lawlessness was acceptable. Senate Democrats voted yesterday that Secretary Mayorkas acted properly when Laken Riley's alleged murderer was released rather than captured after he was caught in New York for a felony before he moved to Georgia and allegedly murdered Miss Riley. To Sen. Schumer: Hell hath no fury like the American people after a cheap politician ignores his responsibilities. This is a short-lived victory. Sen. Schumer and the Democrats will regret this stunt come November.
