Angie Craig's chameleon act
There's an old joke that asks how you give a chammeleon a nervous breakdown. There are 2 answers, with the first answer being 'by putting the chameleon against a plaid background.' The other answer is 'by putting it against a paisley background.' I say this as the innocent bystander watching Angie Craig try to decide whether to run for the open U.S. Senate seat that Tina Smith currently hold as a moderate or whether she should run as a guns-ablazin' wild-eyed progressive. To Craig's credit, she's doing a nice job spinning her flip-flops, saying "I’ve always been hard to define as a member of Congress in my votes and I don’t think I’m very definable now. I always listen to my constituents, and that’s what I’ll continue to do for the people of Minnesota." Actually, she's easily defined. She's a hard-core liberal who doesn't believe in justice.
