Heather Abrahamson should be fired

Apparently, Dr. Heather Abrahamson thinks that she's smarter than her students. Similarly, she apparently needs to see an eye doctor. She's featured in this week's viral video because she told one of her Becker HS students that "just because you're alive doesn't mean you're intelligent." In the video, she's videotaped as arguing with her class about Renee Nicole Good's death. In fact, she said that it was the ICE officer's responsibility to de-escalate the situation. While that's usually solid advice, some situations don't lend themselves to that.

In the video that I saw, Good's partner-in-crime (figure of speach) was taunting the ICE agent while Good parked her vehicle at an angle in the middle of the street. The ICE agent ordered her to get out of the vehicle. Instead of getting out of her vehicle, Good put the vehicle in gear and hit the agent. In what world is that intelligent? She's quoted in the article as saying that the ICE agent "wasn't in danger." The report of him suffering internal injuries suggests otherwise. The thud heard in the video suggests otherwise, too.

Heather Abrahamson apparently thinks that she's entitled to namecalling with her students. That's hubris. She should apologize to her students. Here's the tweet that started this frenzy:

First, Heather Abrahamson shouldn't belittle her students. She should be ashamed for that alone. Further, this isn't a matter of opinion. It's a matter of finding the truth. She failed miserably at that. It's that simple.
