Does Ilhan Omar support defunding ICE?

Based on Alpha News's reporting, it sounds like Rep. Ilhan Omar wants to either defund ICE or render it ineffective. Alpha reports that "Democratic Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar and nearly 100 of her House colleagues are vowing to defund Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) following the fatal shooting of Renee Good by an ICE agent on Jan. 7."

Look Who's Silent:

According to the article, the House Democrats' spineless leader is silent. Alpha reports "House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries has not taken a position on funding immigration enforcement past the January deadline. On Monday, he sharply criticized the $75 billion infusion allocated to ICE in President Donald Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act. No Democrats voted for the tax and spending cut package, which Trump signed into law in July 2025."

That's so in-character for Jeffries. He's one of the most slimiest creatures in Washington, DC. He's consistently dishonest, too. But I digress.

Democrat Propaganda:

“The law is clear on the removal of such immigrants who may have criminal records. We’re not opposed to that,” retiring Democratic Illinois Rep. Chuy García, a member of the CPC’s leadership, told the DCNF.

"What we’re opposed to is the trampling of constitutional rights, the racial profiling, the use of masks, the deadly use of force," García added. "The disrespect that agents show in our communities has never been inflicted on any community in recent history, and that’s what really is at the heart of all of this."

What's really "at the heart of all of this" is the Democrats' uttter disrespect for law enforcement. In August, 2020, Ilhan Omar said that the Minneapolis Police Department was too corrupt to be fixed and had to be "dismantled." Further, it's painfully obvious that ICE wouldn't have to wear masks if anti-ICE activists weren't trying to doxx ICE agents, putting them and their families in harm's way. Further, ICE's actions wouldn't be needed if Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and Alejandro Mayorkas had enforced the laws they swore to uphold. Additionally, this wouldn't be required if anti-ICE lawbreakers didn't attempt to prevent lawful ICE enforcement efforts.

Contrary to the Demomcrats' propaganda, these ICE arrests are 100% legitimate. These arrests aren't illegitimate just because you don't agree with the policy. Jacob Frey, Minneapolis's mayor, was on Fox & Friends this morning. He started lying from the start:

As for Ilhan Omardefunding ICE, that's going nowhere. That's a fundraising stunt. It's time for the Minnesota GOP delegation to tell her to take a hike.

Alpha News is reporting that "The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) has confirmed that Dylan Adams, the fiscal policy analyst caught on video vandalizing Teslas in Minneapolis, is still employed by the state — meaning Minnesota taxpayers are footing the bill for his salary. In response to Alpha News inquiries, a DHS spokesperson said: "Dylan Adams is a current employee." Apparently, the Walz administration doesn't care that it's employing a vandal in its Department of Human Services.
