Tim Walz calls, Donald Trump answers, Tom Homan travels to Minneapolis

A longtime reader of this blog highlighted the fact that Gov. Walz called President Trump Monday morning. President Trump said "Governor Tim Walz called me with the request to work together with respect to Minnesota. It was a very good call, and we, actually, seemed to be on a similar wavelength." Here's hoping that Gov. Walz and Mayor Frey will stop with their intentionally incendiary threats to law enforcement. It's been obvious that Walz and Frey have wanted to stir up controversy within Minnesota.

President Trump also spoke with Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey. Through Truth Social, President Trump said "I just had a very good telephone conversation with Mayor Jacob Frey, of Minneapolis. Lots of progress is being made! Tom Homan will be meeting with him tomorrow in order to continue the discussion. Thank you for your attention to this matter! PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP"

After his conversation with President Trump, Mayor Frey "took to X", where he said:

Minneapolis will continue to cooperate with state and federal law enforcement on real criminal investigations — but we will not participate in unconstitutional arrests of our neighbors or enforce federal immigration law. Violent criminals should be held accountable based on the crimes they commit, not based on where they are from.
Actually, the fact that criminal illegal aliens were being called neighbors by Mayor Frey indicates that these criminals weren't being held accountable whatsoever. That's why Minneapolis is a sanctuary city. CBS's report:
