Schumer issued this timid statement about the raging antisemitism on college campuses. In his statement, Sen. Schumer said "College campuses must be places of learning and discussion. Every American has a right to protest, but when protests shift to antisemitism, verbal abuse, intimidation, or glorification of Oct. 7 violence against Jewish people, that crosses the line. NBC News is reporting that anti-Israel protesters shut down San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge for more than 5 hours on Monday. CNN is reporting that "More than 150 people were arrested or taken into custody across the US Monday as pro-Palestinian protesters blocked roads and one of the country’s most famous bridges. In places from San Francisco and Seattle to Chicago and the East Coast cities of Miami and New York , demonstrators disrupted traffic,  including during rush hour,  and blocked travelers from getting to major airports to protest the US supporting Israel in the war in Gaza." These disruptions were well-coordinated, well-funded and highly effective.
