National Border Patrol Council unanimously endorses Donald Trump

Image
When Donald Trump paints his opponents into a corner, they're often left looking a little sheepish. That's what he did to the Harris campaign Sunday, when he proposed an idea to the National Border Patrol Council. Specifically, President Trump proposed "he would set a goal of hiring 10,000 Border Patrol agents and 'immediately' ask Congress to give all agents a 10 percent pay raise. He also pitched a $10,000 'retention and signing bonus' for agents." Almost immediately, the Harris campaign replied, saying "Trump doesn’t care about solving problems, he only wants to run on one. That’s why he killed the bipartisan border bill that would’ve secured the border, despite the fact that it was endorsed by the Border Patrol." That's a steaming pile of BS from the Harris campaign. First, Harris is the partisan hack who criticized building Trump's wall, calling it a vanity project. Then-Sen. Harris voted multiple times against funding the buil

Tim Walz is a bust, Part II

Image
When VP Kamala Harris picked Tim Walz, Minnesota's ultra-progressive governor, as her running mate, Democrats questioned the pick while Republicans rejoiced. Saturday, Gov. Walz went pheasant hunting. Sunday, CNN's Scott Jennings shared his thoughts on Gov. Walz's hunting trip, saying "It was a rough week, her favorability numbers are down, and they're struggling. On the front page of the New York Times this morning, Democrats are struggling with African-American voters, particularly African-American men. This gender gap is a real issue, you see Democrats reacting to it. And I think what they are coming to realize, in October, finally, is that a lot of men think Democrats care more about dudes who want to become women than dudes who just want to be dudes. No hunting cosplay cringe video is going to change it, the bed is made." When first picked, Gov. Walz created quite the stir, calling Sen. J.D. Vance weird. That's quite something coming from the guy wh

Is Barack Obama washed up?

Image
It's obvious why Barack Obama ran for president right after getting elected to the U.S. Senate. It's apparent that his soaring rhetoric had a limited shelf life. Obama went from being Mr. Hope and Change to being the Democrats' biggest scold. Thursday night in Pittsburgh, Mr. Hope and Change tried scolding black men into voting for VP Harris. It's a shame that Obama didn't build people up. His penchant was to talk trash. The truth is that Obama has just as thin of skin as Trump. It's worth studying Obama's economic policies. Obama said that "you can't drill your way to cheaper gas prices. A week later, Newt Gingrich coined the phrase of "Drill here. Drill now. Pay less." When Trump got into office, he followed the Gingrich blueprint. There wasn't a single day during Trump's administration when the average price of a gallon of gas got to $3.00. Energy was abundant. That helped lift a record number of families out of poverty. Furthe

Tim Walz is a bust

Image
When Kamala Harris picked Tim Walz to be her running mate, the Harris campaign stated that Gov. Walz would help bolster the ticket with rural voters and in the Midwest. Republicans, including me, knew that she'd picked him over Josh Shapiro because she caved to Palestinians in Michigan. There was no way she could pick a Jew as her running mate. That'd mean she'd lose Michigan, which likely meant she'd lose the election. It turns out that Gov. Walz has been a total bust. Friday night on Almanac, Prof. David Schultz was asked to grade Gov. Walz as a running mate. Prof. Schultz gave him a C grade. That's what's called liberal grade inflation. From someone other than a proud liberal like Prof. Schultz, the best that Gov. Walz could hope for is a D-. Bearing Arms published this article on the subject. It opens, saying "When Kamala Harris tapped Tim Walz as her running mate, the conventional wisdom on the Left was that the Minnesota governor would help her campa

Harrison Butker endorses Josh Hawley

Image
Last spring, Kansas City Chiefs placekicker Harrison Butker drew the rather of feminists when he talked about the virtues of stay-at-home moms. At the time, it was obvious that he wasn't advocating for women to choose this option exclusively. He was speaking at a Catholic university and he was speaking about his wife only. Fast forward to this campaign. With this being Kansas City's bye week, Butker chose to endorse Sen. Josh Hawley . In fact, Hawley "is appearing with Harrison Butker, the Kansas City Chief’s kicker, at three stops throughout the state on Thursday, including one in Parkville. Hawley has also sent two fundraising emails touting an endorsement from the Super Bowl winning kicker." Butker didn't send out some milquetoast endorsement email either. Butker didn't send out some milquetoast endorsement email endorsing Sen. Hawley either. Butker didn’t hide his Christian faith or his political and societal beliefs. Butker wrote “He’s not just a Senator;

J.D. Vance's op-ed highlights Biden administration's incompetence

Image
Donald Trump found an eloquent-sounding pit bull to attack the Biden administration's terrible response to Hurricane Helene. His name is J.D. Vance, the author of Hillbilly Elegy. Sen. Vance didn't pull punches in his WSJ op-ed . For instance, Sen. Vance wrote "On Oct. 2, six days after the storm made landfall, the Defense Department announced that 1,000 troops had been authorized to deploy to the hurricane-response zone, including elements of the 82nd Airborne Division from Fort Liberty, N.C. These troops bring with them debris-clearing and water-purification equipment—critical resources for communities with blocked roads and orders to boil drinking water. As evening fell on Friday, Oct. 4, fewer than half of the 1,000 troops were conducting operations and deployed to Western North Carolina. " That's pathetic. Businesses, churches and charities were on the ground within hours of the hurricane hitting western North Carolina. Donald Trump, the former president, imm

J.D. Vance exposes Minnesota's abortion-at-all-costs industry

Image
J.D. Vance is finally vindicated . During last week's vice-presidential debate, Sen. J.D. Vance accused Tim Walz, Minnesota's DFL governor, of changing Minnesota's abortion laws. Gov. Walz denied that, saying "That is not the way the law is written. … [T]hat’s been misread. And it was fact-checked at the last debate. It’s not the case. It’s not true. That’s not what the law says." Rep. Harry Niska knows that Gov. Walz isn't telling the truth. Harry tweeted "In fact, @ShannonBream is 100% correct and @Tim_Walz is lying again. The law he signed was far more radical than just restoring Roe v Wade. I know because I tried to help them to “codify Roe” and they rejected my amendment." The language that was in play prior to 2023 said "A born alive infant as a result of an abortion shall be fully recognized as a human person, and accorded immediate protection under the law. All reasonable measures consistent with good medical practice, including the co

Joe Teirab prosecutes case vs. Angie Craig

Image
Joe Teirab engaged in a debate with Rep. Angie Craig last Friday afternoon on MPR. Teirab correctly tied Craig to the high inflation of the Biden era, often nicknamed Bidenflation. Craig tried deflecting Teirab's accusation but the accusation is accurate. Craig said "Congress approved a number of spending bills under President Trump to make sure that our small businesses did not go out of business during the COVID-19 pandemic. So at the end of the day, we’ve come through a global pandemic." That's a slick move and technically true. It's also highly deceptive. The Trump spending bills were required to keep the economy going. The bills that Teirab is talking about were a) passed after Trump left office, b) passed months after the economy had been re-opened, c) passed after the economy was growing at a robust rate (FY2021Q1- 6.5%, FY2020Q4- 4.8%) and d) after Democrat economists Steven Ratner and Larry Summers warned that passing the American Rescue Plan, which spen

Tim Walz's harsh introduction to Sunday morning programming

Image
When I first saw the advertising that Tim Walz would be appearing on Fox News Sunday with Shannon Bream, I thought he'd get molested by the truth. Therefore, I'm not surprised that that's what happened. Next, he sat down for an interview with FNC's Shannon Bream. Unfortunately for the people, they llearned that he isn't a man of integrity. That's the diplomatic way of putting it. National Review has a nice article that recaps many of Gov. Walz's misspeaks. For instance, Bream pressed Gov. Walz "on those programs and his justification for giving taxpayer-funded benefits to illegal immigrants. 'Are those not magnets to draw people here, many times on dangerous journeys for themselves, and why should your taxpayers in Minnesota or across the states pay for those programs?' Bream asked." Gov. Walz replied "Well that’s not the vice president’s position. Minnesota ranks as a top five business state. We rank as a top three state for childre

Donald Trump, Elon Musk, D.J. Vance = positive change for this generation

Image
While Democrats and Never-Trumper Republicans cringe at the thought of Elon being part of Donald Trump's new economy/society, the truth is that Elon is part of a new line of thinking for the U.S. Those who aren't ready to adapt to this new thinking won't prosper as much. AJ Delgado, a former 2016 Trump campaign adviser who is now a vocal critic of the former president, said "What a horrible public speaker Elon is.... my goodness—I'm cringing. Elon, never wear a baseball cap again. They do not work on you. This is all super low energy." Elon's role was to push early voting and highlight the gigantic difference between Joe Biden and Donald Trump. When he took the stage at Trump's request, he said "The true test of someone's character is how they behave under fire. We had one president who couldn't climb a flight of stairs and we had another who was fist-pumping after getting shot. Fight, fight, fight. Blood coming down his face. Now, Americ

Elon Musk to join Donald Trump for Butler, PA Rally

Image
Earlier this week, Liz Cheney campaigned with Kamala Harris . At the time, Democrats bragged about having a big-tent party. This afternoon, Donald Trump will rally with Elon Musk in his triumphal return to Butler, PA. The thought that the traitorous Cheney makes Democrats a "big tent party" is laughable. Meanwhile, Katie Pavlich's Tipsheet article has a list of honored special guests that will be attending the Butler rally. Fox will broadcast the rally, with Shanon Bream anchoring the coverage starting at 4:00 pm CT. The list of honored guests is made up mostly of first responders and law enforcement officers. Question: Do people want more law enforcement officers and first responders? Or do they prefer bitter neocon political hacks? This will be an emotion-filled event. Big crowds have already gathered. Task Force Chairman Mike Kelly was there on July 13, 2024. He'll be there again this afternoon. He told Lawrence Jones that President Trump will be safe because the

Catherine Harrison vs. Dan Wolgamott; Harrison endorses Sue Ek edition

Image
Now that Catherine Harrison, Rep. Wolgamott's former campaign manager, has endorsed Sue Ek, Rep. Wolgamott's opponent in the HD-14B race, it's time for this story to get some additional sunlight. In a Friday morning interview with Dan Ochsner, Ms. Harrison talked about feeling like "she has been ostracized from the DFL for her stance on what she calls sex-based rights. She lists the right to have separate sports leagues, bathrooms, private spaces like locker rooms, and dormitories and sororities that cater solely to women." Harrison said "If Dan Wolgamott really wanted to understand the issue and really wanted to hear me, that would be one thing, and then he could say, 'Hey, we disagree on this politically, but Catherine, I love you. We’ve been friends for forever. It’s okay. You can think what you want to think, and I’ll think what I want to think. We’ll still be friends. That’s cool.' But he wasn’t able to do that." That's stunning! Wolgam

Federal government's disastrous response verifies Harris's, Biden's incompetence

Image
If Leo Hohmann's heartbreaking article doesn't get you to reconsider your vote, it'll make you angry. At minimum, it should piss you off mightily. The article opens by saying "There’s almost no coverage of the extent of the suffering taking place right now in the mountains of Western North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee, where the victims of Hurricane Helene are still without power one week after the storm hit and dumped a record amount of rain, and now the food and water is running out." Food and water are running out because FEMA failed. FEMA failed because the U.S. doesn't have a president or vice president, at least not ones that give a s--t. After Hurricane Helene hit last Thursday, Joe Biden flew to Delaware like he usually does each weekend. Meanwhile, VP Harris flew to Arizona for a 19-minute photo-op before jetting off to California for a weekend of fundraising for her campaign. In neither instance did Biden or Harris publicly express their thoughts

Alejandro Mayorkas steals from Hurricane Helene victims

Image
Alejandro Mayorkas better hope nobody finds out that he authorized the transfer of $1,000,000,000 "that had been allocated to the agency responsible for American disaster relief and used it to offer services for illegal immigrants. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) allocated nearly $364 million in the fiscal year 2023 and $650 million for the 2024 fiscal year to the 'helter and Services Program' 'provide humanitarian services to noncitizen migrants following their release from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS),'according to the government’s website ." Helene victims should know that "residents across the southeastern United States are suffering from the administration’s misplaced priorities, which place 'equity' and 'climate resilience' ahead of emergency preparedness. While FEMA routinely prepares for colossal rescue operations with resources lined up in the days ahead of major storms, such pre-staged support was cle

Joe Biden returns from vacation, starts work on Hurricane Helene relief

Image
Now that it's midweek, Joe Biden is back from his weekly suntanning vacation in Delaware. He's just in time to help get the Hurricane Helene relief effort started. Thankfully, our next president, Donald Trump, raised $1.7 million for hurricane relief over the weekend, then showed up in Valdosta, GA, complete with badly needed supplies. During his visit, Trump announced that Elon Musk would help with getting communications restarted by sending Starlink units into the storm-ravaged parts of the southeast. Meanwhile, Kamala Harris took time out of her campaign fundraising schedule to visit Atlanta while providing Atlanta with an update on federal disaster relief operations. To prove he's still alive and still semi-relevant, Joe Biden pledged 1,000 active duty troops , will be sent to North Carolina to support disaster relief efforts in the wake of the deadly Hurricane Helene. By then, Samaritans' Purse and other charities will be working their magic restoring the region.

J.D. Vance outclasses Tim Walz, moderators in VP Debate

Image
Last night wasn't a good night for Minnesota politics. Tim Walz is trying to become Minnesota's first VP since Walter Mondale was Jimmy Carter's vice president in 1977-1981. If last night's debate is the final determining factor, Mondale is safe for at least another 4 years. From the start, Gov. Walz looked nervous and not in control of the facts or issues. Gov. Walz frequently made glaring mistakes. His biggest mistake came when asked about why he changed his position on gun control. He said he changed his mind when he listened to Sandy Hook parents. That's when he said that I sat in that office with those Sandy Hook parents. I’ve become friends with school shooters. I’ve seen it." That's a pretty bad gaffe. That's so bad this article intentionally omitted that part of the statement altogether. They didn't mention the statement about becoming friends with school shooters. Perhaps Sen. Vance's best line of the night might've been when he

Donald Trump, Franklin Graham visit hurricane-stricken Valdosta, GA

Image
While it's true that Donald Trump took a few jabs at Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, it's also true that he raised $1.7 million in disaster relief for victims of Hurricane Helene. When he visited Valdosta, GA, he brought lots of the supplies purchased with that $1.7 million. That's a major shot in the arm for Valdosta, GA. According to this Western Journal article , Trump praised GA Gov. Kemp and Samaritan's Purse, saying "The governor’s doing a very good job. He’s having a hard time getting the president on the phone. I guess they’re not being responsive enough. The federal government is not being responsive. He won’t get on [the phone] and of course the vice president, she’s out someplace campaigning, looking for money." The hurricane hit Thursday night before midnight. It's now Tuesday am, a wait of 3+ days. During that time, Biden was seen vacationing on the beach in Delaware and Harris was attending fundraisers in California. There wasn't a sense of
