Elon Musk, Dark Gothic MAGA & Donald Trump's Madison Square Garden rally

What a night it was in New York City's Madison Square Garden. Sunday night could've easily been called Donald Trump and a cast of thousands because it featured celebrities ranging from Donald Trump Jr., Eric and Lara Trump appearing together, Hulk Hogan, Tucker Carlson, Dr. Phil, Vivek Ramaswamy, Tulsi Gabbard, Sen. J.D. Vance and wife Melania.

The biggest spotlight, other than the one on President Trump, shined on Elon Musk. Elon was introduced by Howard Lutnick, the "chairman and CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald." Lutnick said that they'd be working together at "the Department of Government Efficiency." Shortly after taking to the microphone, Elon said "We're gonna get the government off your back and out of your pocketbook and America is not just gonna be great, America is gonna reach heights that it has never seen before."

While Trump is the leader of Trumpamania, which was coined by Hulk Hogan, Elon is the self-appointed leader of "dark, gothic MAGA."

If I didn't know better, I'd say that that's a man having fun:

That can't be, though. Hillary said that Trump is holding a Nazi rally inside Madison Square Garden, aka MSG. Watch how much fun Elon is having:

Howard Lutnick, the CEO of the financial-services company Cantor Fitzgerald, introduced Musk at the event. As he took the stage, Lutnick asked the Tesla and SpaceX CEO, "How much do you think we can rip out of this wasted $6.5 trillion Harris-Biden budget?"

"I think we can do at least $2 trillion," Musk replied. Trump has previously said he'd put Musk in charge of a department of government efficiency — or "DOGE," after the cryptocurrency — if he wins the election.

Spending cuts must originate in the House, then passed by the Senate before going to President Trump's desk. The good news is that they can pass those cuts using reconciliation. It's time to eliminate the wasteful COVID spending from the budget baseline. Whatever hasn't been spent from the American Rescue Plan shouldn't be spent. Period. Next, Congress shouldn't spend any unspent money from the Inflation Reduction Act that's actually being spent on Green New Deal things. That's a good 'downpayment' on Elon's $2,000,000,000,000.
