Angie Craig announces U.S. Senate bid

Image
Today, Rep. Angie Craig, (DFL-MN2), announced that she's running for the open Senate seat being vacated by Sen. Tina Smith , who is retiring at the end of her term. Rep. Craig faces an uphill fight, facing off against Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan and former State Senate Minority Leader Melisa López Franzen in the DFL primary. At this point, she's probably leading Franzen and trailing Lt. Gov. Flanagan. With Rep. Craig running for Senate, that opens her congressional seat. That being said, Craig won this seat handily in 2024. NBC is reporting "Flanagan, who would be the first Native American woman in the Senate if she wins, immediately signaled after Smith's retirement that she would run to replace her." Later, NBC reported "Ahead of Craig's expected announcement, Flanagan rolled out a handful of endorsements from key Democrats in the state, like Attorney General Keith Ellison and former Sen. Al Franken (who resigned in 2017 amid allegations of sexual misconduc...

The Republicans' budget emphasis

Image
In one GOP legislative update after GOP legislative update, each has highlighted the DFL's 'free' health care for illegal aliens. Rep. Mary Franson highlighted the program in this legislative update , saying "Last year, they expanded MinnesotaCare to cover this population, promising it would serve 7,700 people at a cost of $196 million. Now, after months of House Republicans demanding transparency, the truth is out. Enrollment has jumped to over 17,000, and the price tag has exploded to more than $550 million. That entire cost is coming straight from Minnesota taxpayers because illegal immigrants do not qualify for federal support." This was the DFL's highest priority other than establishing Minnesota as a trans-refuge state. The DFL wouldn't be in this position if they hadn't spent the entire projected surplus. If the DFL had been a bit more restrained, Minnesota wouldn't be facing a major deficit. Frankly, Gov. Walz and the DFL are prioritizing...

The bitter Biden-Obama intraparty war

Image
Apparently, the media hasn't told us about the workings of the White House. I'm not talking the media's cover-up of Biden's cognitive decline, either. I'm talking about the bitter feud between Joe Biden and Barack Obama. The Washington Free Beacon is reporting that there's a major feud between Barack Obama and Joe Biden. According to the Beacon's reporting, "Years later, Trump's odds of becoming president would dramatically increase when Obama tapped Hillary Clinton, one of the worst politicians (and least likable human beings) in American history, as his heir apparent" In an earlier instance of poor judgment, Obama had picked Joe Biden as his running mate because, among other reasons, he thought Biden was too old and unambitious to consider running for president again. " Biden never forgave Obama for anointing Hillary Clinton as the Democratic nominee ," writes journalist Chris Whipple, author of Uncharted: How Trump Beat Biden, Har...

What happened to Tim Walz's One Minnesota?

Image
When Tim Walz first ran for governor, he ran with the slogan "One Minnesota." If he runs for a third term as governor, he should eliminate his "One " slogan. This Stanley Kurtz article highlights how radical Gov. Walz has become. In the article, Kurtz wrote about Brian Lozenski,he's sai Macalester College professor of urban and multicultural education. First, let's correct something about multiculturalism. We aren't multicultural. We're multi-ethnic. Next, about Lozenski, he's said some radical things while teaching at Macalester. Kurtz wrote an article titled Walz Education Appointee Calls for the Overthrow of the U.S. Prof. Lozenski is as divisive a figure as we'll find. That's before talking about Mary Moriarty, DFL Hennepin County Attorney. Moriarty is implementing a 2-tiered injusticevans system. THen there's Gov. Walz himself. This past week, Gov. Walz spent most of his time criticizing President Trump and Elon Musk. At the s...

The high cost of 'free' health care

Image
Minnesota House Speaker Lisa Demuth issued this statement about the looming deficit, explaining how expensive 'free' health care is. In this release, Speaker Demuth explained "The Minnesota Department of Health indicates 17,396 people in the state illegally are now enrolled in the state-funded health insurance program, more than twice the original forecast of 7,700. Demuth said the data was not made publicly available and only came to light after persistent inquiries by House Republicans." Where it says "state-funded health insurance,"it means'taxpayer-funded health insurancew'. Republicans should refuse to fund this program. We're sitting on the verge of a projected $6,000,000,000 deficit. We cGov. Walzn't afford these extravagant, unaffordable programs. Further, Govv. Walz needs to learn that taxpayers aren't ATMs. Later in Speaker Demuth's statement, she wrote "Unlike traditional MinnesotaCare recipients, Demuth indicated peop...

Lisa Demuth, Republican Party of Minnesota, call Tim Walz out

Image
Republican Speaker Lisa Demuth said a few nice things about Tim Walz's State of the State address while criticizing Gov. Walz, Minnesota's DFL governor. In her stateement, Speaker Demuth said "The governor issued his annual State of the State speech on Wednesday. I am pleased with a couple of acknowledgements he made, such as the $6 billion deficit we now face after Democrats in full control of the Capitol the last two years spent our $18 billion surplus and increased state spending by 40 percent." Even while Speaker Demuth expressed gratitude, Speaker Demuth still reminded Minnesotans that Gov. Walz turned a projected $18,000,000,000 surplus into a projected $6,000,000,000 deficit while raising taxes by $10,000,000,000. That's the ultimte backhanded compliment. While Speaker Demuth was semi-diplomatic, the Republican Party of Minnesota was less than diplomatic . In their statement, the Republican Party said "Tonight, Governor Tim Walz delivered his State of...

Hannah Dugan, judge and criminal

Image
People better sit down because this is shocking news. A Democrat judge was just arrested for obstruction. The Washington Examiner is reporting that "FBI Director Kash Patel announced the arrest of Wisconsin judge Hannah Dugan on obstruction charges after she allegedly misdirected Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers to help an illegal immigrant evade arrest." The Examiner is also reporting "Dugan was arrested on obstruction charges after she allegedly interfered with a federal immigration arrest inside her courtroom. 'Just NOW, the FBI arrested Judge Hannah Dugan out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin on charges of obstruction,' Patel posted to X." Judge Dugan deserves far more than a maximum of 6 years in prison. She apparently didn't hesitate in preventing ICE from arresting an illegal alien. It's one thing for a regular person to obstruct ICE. It's another thing when an officer of the court breaks the law. Cavalier Johnson, Milwaukee's Democ...

Keith Ellison files lawsuit to protect boys' right to invade women's bathrooms

Image
Keith Ellison, Minnesota's DFL Attorney> General, just filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration to protect boys' rights to invade women's bathrooms and locker rooms. That means AG Ellison is either a pervert, a Trump hater or a Democrat or all 3. I'm betting it's all 3. Alpha News is reporting "Attorney General Keith Ellison launched a fedebral lawsuit against President Donald Trump designed to halt the Trump administration’s efforts to protect distinctions between men and women." XY doesn't equal XX In high school biology, we learned that males have 1 X chromosome and 1 Y chromosome. We learned that women have 2 X chromosomes. When biological males have surgery to look like females, they still retain their XY chromosome makeup. Further, some evil men say that they "identify" as women. That's all that's needed to give these biological males access to women's locker rooms and bathrooms. That's whether they've ha...

Tim Walz's dishonest State of the State Address

Image
Wednesday night, Minnesota's DFL Gov. Tim Walz delivered a speech that was long on national ambition and dishonesty and extremely short on solutions that will improve Minnesotans' lives. Bring Me the News quotes Walz as saying "This isn’t servant leadership. It’s not any kind of leadership at all. It’s small. It’s weak. It’s petty. It takes the awesome power of the federal government and turns it into a crude weapon, wielded by a man who wants to be a king. And as Governor, I’m going to continue to do in my power to protect Minnesotans from getting hurt, and provide them shelter from the storm. But it’s not enough to complain about the damage this administration is causing. And it’s not even enough to try to clean up as much of the mess as we ctan." Now that the DFL Trifecta has been demolished, it's time for Gov. Walz to drop the national ambition stuff and concentrate on doing his job. Thus far, Walz hasn't done a good job in his current job. Check this twe...

Is the DFL the anti-education party?

Image
Ben Bakeberg is one of the rising stars of the GOP. This morning, Rep. Bakeberg sent out a legislative update highlighting some of the DFL's proposed budget cuts for K-12 education. Here's the list of the DFL's proposed cuts: Shifting special education costs back onto local school districts Shifting community education costs onto local schools Eliminating Q-Comp, which provides professional development support for teachers Cutting transportation funding for students Eliminating nonpublic pupil aid, which helps provide mental health services, nursing, and textbooks for kids Apparently, Gov. Walz and the DFL, at the behest of Education Minnesota, are waging war against private and parochial schools. The DFL isn't even trying to hide it. Foolishness personified While the Governor plans to grow the Minnesota Department of Education’s size and budget, our local schools are facing more than $240 million in cuts. These cuts are outlined in the Governor’abouts education budget...

Mary Moriarty's soft-on-crime decision

Image
Mary Moriarty has been characterized as a soft-on-crime district attorney since her election. With that reputation, I expected her to decline to prosecute Dylan Bryan Adams, the man "who is a State of Minnesota employee with the Department of Human Services." He's also the guy who did $21,000 worth of damage to Tesla EVs. Ms. Moriarty decided that prosecuting Mr. Adams was wrong. Instead, Moriarty placed Adams "into a 'diversion' program in lieu of being charged. If I understand this right, Adams won't have a record because he wasn't charged. That's just his temporary status, though, because he'll be charged by the DOJ : “The days of committing crimes without consequence have ended,” said Attorney General Pamela Bondi. "Let this be a warning: ifhttps://www.lawinfo.com/resources/criminal-defense/sentencing/what-is-diversion.htmlou join this wave of domestic terrorism against Tesla properties, the Department of Justice will put you behind b...

The latest DFL proposed tax hike

Image
Though it isn't surprising to hear that the DFL is interested in hiking taxes for the second straight budget year , it is disgusting. Let's look into the latest DFL attack on taxpayers' wallets. According to the Center to the American Experiment's article, "Minnesota state Senator Melissa Wiklund (D-Bloomington) proposed an 11.1% increase in the state’s sick tax that hits all dental and medical patients. Every service and product paid for by health services, from teeth cleaning to pacemakers, would see an increase. Without hearing testimony on the proposed tax hike, Wiklund tucked it into the Senate Health and Human Services omnibus bill. According to the updated budget forecast, this would increase the sick tax by $115 million in FY 2026 and $123 million in FY 2027." The DFL has an insatiabldfl'se appetite for gigantic spending hikes -- in 2023, the DFL hiked spending bhttps://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/surprise-enrollments-heat-up-mn-care-for-undocumente...

David Hogg's scrambled brain is frightening

Image
David Hogg has a bigger mouth than brain. Saying that he isn't the brightest bulb in the chandelier is understatement. Based on Hogg's fight with Reince Priebus , it's obvious that Hogg is combative but he isn't strategically intelligent. If Democrats think tI',hat they can win simply by fighting, Hogg is proof that you need more than combativeness. Priebus started the back-and-forth by saying "he would have Hogg 'removed from the party' if he were in charge of the DNC." Hogg showed offf his combativeness by replying "This was not an MS-13 gang member, and you damn well know that. The administration admitted this was wrong. In America, we have due process. We are a land of law and order, and this administration is repeatedly showing time and time again they do not care about what the Supreme Court says. They do not care about the rule of law, and you cannot defend sending people to another country where they don’t have rights." Hogg sayin...

SCOTUS overthought Abrego-Garcia ruling

Image
It's apparent that the U.S. supreme Court, aka SCOTUS, overthought its ruling on the deportation case of Kilmar Abrego-Garcia. There isn't a need to determine whether he's a member of MS-13, even though there's evidence he's part of MS-13. The only thing that must be determined is if he's in the U.S. illegally. During his interview with Joe Scarborough, Tom Homan said "The statute says if you come to our border without proper documentation, you shall be detained. Not maybe. Not think about it." SCOTUS only needed to determine whether Abrego-Garcia was illegally in the U.S. At that point, Abrbego-Garcia is eligible for deportation or, at minimum, a trip to Gitmo. They're here illegallyy. It's time to ship them out. Due process only tells us if they're here illegally or if they're terrorists. To those who want to keep those here whose only crime is coming here illegally, I'd suggest that we're deeply, deeply in debt. Why should ...

He is risen; Happy Resurrection Day!

To Christians, there's no greater sentence than "He is risen," It means that Christ has defeated death. It means that Christ has paid the price for our sins. In the Old Testament book of Isaiah, it says "But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. " The apostle Paul wrote "For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." When we accept Christ's shed blood as payment for our sins, something spectacular happens. This is what happenns: "Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying, "If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us." But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, "Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong....

Who do they think they are, Democrat "tax increase edition

Image
Stephen Moore's op-ed for HotAir begs the question of who do the Democrats think they are. Early in the article, Moore wrotes "What is it about politicians in Washington that they just can't stand progress or th e thought of anyone getting rich?" He isn't asking about Republicans. They aren't about raising taxes. They're about cutting taxes. I can't count all the times I've heard a Democrat talk about too many people making too much money. Right now, Bernie Sanders and AOC are on their Fighting Oligarchy Tour , meaning that they're preaching income inequality and that Trump Americans are greedy bastards. That's what Tim Walz accused Elon Musk of being. Simply put, who do these Democrats think they are? This is proof that Democrats are anti-liberty. If Democrats loved liberty, they'd want everybody to prosper. Period. Here's a report on the Oligarchy Tour: Democrats think that Bernie and AOC are their ticket back into power. Democ...

Rejecting Joe Biden's dishonest chorus

Image
For 4 years, Joe Biden, Alejandro Mayorkas, Merrick Garland, Circle Back Jen Psaki and KJP told us that the reason for the record number of illegal aliens streaming across the U.S.-Mexico border was because Republicans hadn't help pass comprehensive immigration reform. Less than 100 days into President Trump's second term, the border is shut tight and the steady stream has turned into a tiny trickle. As Sen. Eric Schmitt said in this op-ed , "For four years, Democrats and the mainstream media insisted there was only one way to prevent the horrific murders of American citizens like Laken Riley and Jocelyn Nungaray at the hands of illegal immigrants: Pass new legislation. Not only was this astoundingly tone-deaf, it was also verifiably false." Within a month, illegal immigration had mostly gotten shut down. The Biden administration lied to the American people throughout his time in office. His administration treated us with contempt throughout his time in office. As a s...

Reviewing the Bipartisan Border Bill

Image
During last year's campaign, Kamala Harris tried attacking President Trump on immigration by criticizing Trump for scuttling the Bipartisan Border Bill. She went as far as saying that it proved that Trumpp didn't care about border security. Saying that Harris's accusation didn't stand the test of time is understatement. When the February CBP report ran a catch-and that only 8,000+ people tried crossing the border illegally, a record that was less than some days during the Biden administration. Byron York's daily column highlights the fact that the steady flow of illegal aliens has almost stopped. He wrote "With all that has happened since January, one issue that has received less and less atshiptention is the flow of illegal crossers over the U.S.-Mexico border. That’s because there no longer is a flow of illegal crossers over the U.S.-Mexico border. President Donald Trump stopped it in a matter of weeks. What had been a national crisis under President Joe ...

JD Vance exposes the Democrats' continued open borders policies

Image
Vice President JD Vance exposed the Democrats' continued open borders policies preference in this extended tweet when he wrote "Here's a useful test: ask the people weeping over the lack of due process what precisely they propose for dealing with Biden's millions and millions of illegals. And with reasonable resource and administrative judge constraints, does their solution allow us to deport at least a few million people per year? If the answer is no, they've given their game away. They don't want border security. They don't want us to deport the people who've come into our country illegally." It's time to strip the euphemisms out of what Democrats are trying to do. It's often said that Democrats and the media represent "the Resistance 2.0". That's a euphemism for saying that Democrats are openly defying the will of the American people. Democrats insist that they're resisting President Trump's policies but that'...

Chris van Hollen's very frustrating day in el Salvador

Image
Sen. Chris van Hollen traveled to el Salvador Wednesday to get Kilmar Abrego-Garcia out of prison and meet with Salvadoran President Bukele. When the trip ended, he didn't return with Abrego-Garcia, he didn't meet with President Bukele and he was snubbed by Salvadoran Vice President Félix Ulloa. The Hill is reporting that "The Salvadoran government on Wednesday rebuffed Sen. Chris Van Hollen’s (D-Md.) request to meet or speak with a wrongfully deported Maryland man, the senator said, accusing the Trump administration and others of lying about Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s gang ties." The report continues, saying "Van Hollen said Salvadoran Vice President Félix Ulloa told him the government had no information connecting Abrego Garcia to MS-13 but could not accommodate a visit to the notorious CECOT prison, known by its acronym in Spanish." In this video, Sen. van Hollen accused President Trump's administration of abducting Mr. Abrego-Garcia: Think what just hap...

Letitia James' worst nightmare

Image
Apparently, Letitia James, NYew York State's corrupt attorney general, has a nightmare on her hands. According to this New York Post article , Professor Jonathan Turley wrote "In securing a loan for a home in Norfolk, Va., James is accused of claiming through her representative that the property would be her principal residence. As the referral notes, primary residences receive more advantageous rates. However, as 'the sitting New York Attorney General of New York [James] is required by law to have her primary residence in the state of New York.'" This is the same Letitia James that sued Donald Trump for falsifying a loan application. In fact, she won a $454,000,000 judgment against Trump. That judgment will likely be overturned on appeal. Turley continued with his op-ed, writing "Notably, the Justice Department has prosecuted those who have committed this common fraud. For example, in 2017, it charged a man in Puerto Rico with false statements on a reverse ...

Chris van Hollen's commitment to open borders

Image
Sen. Chris van Hollen's commitment to open borders is best exemplified by his commitment to the welfare of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the el Salvadoran illegal alien with a deportation order. Now, Sen. van Hollen is travelling to el Salvador to meet with el Salvadorarn President Nayib Bukele. It's worth noting that President Bukele snubbed Sen. van Hollen when Bukele visited the White House this past Monday. Apparently, Satien. van Hollen can't take a hint. UPI quoted van Hollen as saying "I've been clear. If President Bukele doesn't want to meet here in D.C., then I intend to go to El Salvador this week to check on Kilmar Abrego Garcia's condition and discuss his release." There he goes again. The and virtue-signaling are sickening. This PR stunt is as meaningless as Cory Booker's non-filibuster filibuster. During a press conference in the Oval Office, President Bukele emphatically stated that Abrego-Garcia is an el Salvadoran citizen and that he isn...

The GOP's K-12 solutions

Image
This morning, I wrote this post about Walter Hudson's weekly legislative update, which focused on the DFL's stubbornness on K-12 education. I shortchanged Rep. Hudson in that post so I'm adding Rep. Hudson's (and the House GOP's) alternative to the DFL's proposals. Further into Hudson's legislative update, he wrote "That mindset is now baked into the Democrats’ current K-12 education proposal. They refuse to roll back the more than 65 new mandates they forced on schools last year. On top of that, they're proposing cuts to funding for charter and non-public schools, redirecting those dollars to the Department of Education so it can apply even more micromanagement to your local public schools." If your school district hired a sharp superintendent, there's no need to micromanage local schools. Period. If your school district didn't hire a sharp superintendent, then it's time to fire him/her. Republicans are offering a different approa...

Walter Hudson's latest legislative update; unfunded mandate edition

Image
Walter Hudson's legislative update is filled with bad news for Minnesota's taxpayers and K-12 students. Once again, the DFL has managed to shortchange taxpayers while helping teacher unions. In his update, Rep. Hudson wrote "While bipartisan agreements have been reached on omnibus finance bills covering several areas of the budget, K-12 education remains a major sticking point. Unfortunately, we're still at a standstill, locked in opposite corners on how to address the dire situation Democrats when they had total control of the Capitol over the past two years." It's worth remembering that, in addition to spending every pennyof that record surplus, the DFL also raised Minnesotans' taxes by $9,000,000,000. Not only did the DFL spend the entire surplus and the entire tax increase, the DFL reneged on Gov. Walz's $2,000 Walz Check promise. Hudson continued, saying "In 2023, Minnesota had an $18 billion surplus. Democrats spent every penny, directing o...

Neera Tanden, like most Democrats, isn't too bright

Image
Like mpst Democrats, is just plain wierd. During a recent interview, Tanden revealed that she misses the good old days when RINOs like John McCain ruled the GOP. Like most thinking people, I don't miss those days whatsoever. Good riddance to the GOP Maverick.I don't miss his bill that limited my First Amendment rights durig campaigns. That's when protecting our First Amendment rights should be most fiercely defended. President Trump's GOP is dominant because people appreciate the fact that he isn't pandering to Democrats, especially on illegal immigration. Sen. McCain was especially spineless on illegal immigration. Good riddance. In the third paragraph, it says "As Tanden sees it, everything is a lot more terrifying. Independent institutions like universities and law firms are bending the knee to Trump in ways that never happened the first go-round; there aren’t any Republican officials willing to stand up to the president like Sen. John McCain did; and the D...

Is the DFL the Party of Crooks? (Why vote DFL?)

Image
This week, the MN Senate GOP submitted an ethics complaint to the Subcommittee on Ethical Conduct in connection with some pro bono legal work Sen. Bobby Jo Champion did for Rev. Jerry McAfee, who "runs the violence prevention organization 21 Days of Peace." Later, Sen. Champion chief-authored "legislation in 2023 and 2025 directing money to this client, including legislation that was signed into law in 2023 and sent $3 million to a client." This isn't the DFL's first run-in with ethics violations, fraud (think Feeding Our Future) or outright thieves (think Nicole Mitchell). The DFL isn't heavily in integrity. That's a diplomtic way of saying that the DFL isn't trustworthy. Further, if you aren't in govefnment or part of a NPO or NGO, the DFL's policies don't help small businesses or blue collar workers. The DFL's policies are heavy on taxes and regulations. The specifics of the Champion complaint: The ethics complaint accuses Se...

Almanac highlights (lowlights?)

Image
It isn't a secret that Almanac is pretty friendly to DFL Gov. Tim Walz. Friday night, though, Mary Lahammer gave us proof that she's part of the Twin Cities media that protects Walz when her segment focused on Walz's speech in Youngstown, OH. I wrote about that speech in this article . In the article, I quoted Walz as saying "But I don't think we should be the party that demonizes someone because they're able to afford something. WhaFurt we should demonize is someone like Elon Musk and those people that do that. That's different. What my beef is, once you get successful, don't be a greedy bastard and not pay your taxes." I noted that Musk isn't a "greeedy bastard" because he stepped in after Hurricane Helene hit western North Carolina. Elon stepped in by sending lots of Starlink units while FEMA sat on the sidelines. That's the oppossite of being a greedy bastard. That's being a generous guy. Lahammer omitted that from her rep...

Maine school board hates the First Amendment

Image
Nick Blanchard is my biggest hero. Meanwhile, Martha Witham is my newest villain. Blanchard locked horns with Witham during a school board meeting over President Trump's EO prohibiting men from participating in women sports. That's just part of the problem. It shouldn't be controversial to say men shouldn't compete against women. Saying that, though, to a hardcore liberal (think Tim Walz) is like saying the sun rises in the west. At the school board meeting, Blanchard said "Good job and thank you to the six members that voted to go back to the 2020 interpretation of Title IX, and shame on the one board member that voted no" just before getting criticized by "Augusta School Board Chair i'd sue themMartha Witham" because Blanchard" tried stopping Blanchard. That's unconstitutional. School boards and city councils must let citizens talk. That's guaranteed by something called the First Amenddment. Blanchard highlighted the fact that ...

Tim Walz hates Elon Musk

Image
Minnesotans know that Tim Walz has exceptionally thin skin. We also know that he's an exeptionally petty man. Gov. Walz's pettiness was on full display during during a speech in Youngstown, OH Further, Walz's dishonesty was on full display. During his townhall, Lying Little Timmy said "We're creating a false narrative for them that everybody is super rich and has Lamborghinis and life is easy. But that's what we're going to have to figure out in our society about social media and all those things. But I don't think we should be the party that demonizes someone because they're able to afford something. What we should demonize is someone like Elon Musk and those people that do that. That's different. What my beef is, once you get successful, don't be a greedy bastard and not pay your taxes." My beef with Walz is that he's a liar. Since February, 2022, Musk has sent Starlink units to Ukraine and western North Carolina. It should be no...

David Sacks is right; President Trump got it right

Image
David Sacks took a victory lap for President Trump in this tweet . Sacks wrote "They did everything they could to create a panic. They predicted a Black Monday that never came. They became jubilant over an intraday correction on Tuesday. They were rooting for Trump to fail even if it meant the market and economy crashed. Fortunately their hopes have been dashed. Trump has been vindicated. China is isolated, and the rest of the world is lining up to negotiate new trade deals. Do you think this would have happened if Trump had asked nicely? Maybe if he had said pretty please? Never. This was the only way to rewrite the rules of global trade. Once again, Trump was right about everything!" Yesterday after the 2,000-point jump, a CNN 'expert' said that the gain was welcome but Trump's strategy was wrong. How is that possible? This could only come from a Dem:ocrat. David Sacks' tweet: They did everything they could to create a panic. They predicted a Black Monday th...

Have Trump's tariffs already worked?

Image
While Democrats insist that President Trump has plunged the U.S. into a recession or is about to plunge the U.S. into a recession, President Trump's tariff policy appears to be working. With more nations calling to start tariff negotiations each day, it's apparent that those nations want what President Trump is selling. This isn't difficult to believe. Why wouldn't countries want to sell their products into the biggest market in the world? This weekend, it was disclosed that the U.S. economy is almost $30,000,000,000,000. Meanwhile, China's economy is $18,000,000,000,000. Further, the EU's economy is also $18,000,000,000,000. I knew that the U.S., China and the EU were the 3 biggest economies in the world. I didn't know that the U.S. was almost as big as China and the EU combined. WASHINGTON/SEOUL, April 8 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump said he discussed tariffs, shipbuilding and potential energy deals in a "great call" with South Korea...

Tim Walz's open borders policy

Image
Tim walz made news during his interview with Jake Tapper this past week. During the interview, Walz " suggested that if Democrats had won the election last November, the problem at the border created by Biden would have continued under President Kamala Harris." Walz continued, saying "On immigration, what we were asking for is a bipartisan policy that strengthens immigration control, that recognizes that we need a workforce here, that they should be al/pwed here legally, and that, when they get here, they’re part of the American fabric." That's Biden's open borders policy, which the voters rejected overwhelmingly. First, illegal aliens aren't "part of the American fabric." They're here illegally. They use lots of taxpayer programs like health care, education and SNAP. This isn't sitting well with populations of color. That's why Democrats lost so many people of color to Trump. Here's the video of Walz's interview: It's...

Barack Obama's latest diatribe

Image
Barack Obama's latest diatribe is just his latest scold. In a speech at Hamilton College, Obama said "It is up to all of us to fix this. It’s not going to be because somebody comes and saves you. The most important office in this democracy is the citizen, the ordinary person who says, no, that’s not right." Obama loses a single election and he starts whining. Once upon a time, Obama was a great orator. These days, he's just the first black president. He used to be the Democrats' go-to guy late in campaigns. That guy is gone, a part of history. For most of human history and to this day in most places in the world, there is a cost to challenging the powers that be, particularly if they're abusing that power," Obama reflected. "And this idea, and I've noticed this among some wealthier folks who, you know, after George Floyd, they were right there and a bunch of companies were talking about how they cared about diversity and they wanted to do this a...

Bill Ackman: are President Trump's tariffs working?

Image
Bill Ackman's tweet seems to question whether President Trump's tariffs will work when he wrote "Initially, the market responded favorably, up more than one percent when Trump referred to ‘reciprocal tariffs’ in his Rose Garden speech. It was only when he put up a chart showing the actual tariffs that the markets plunged." At this point, it's too early to know if they'll work. that being said, I'm trusting that they'll work because the U.S. economy is so much bigger than the next 2 biggest economies.
