Keith Ellison files lawsuit to protect boys' right to invade women's bathrooms

Keith Ellison, Minnesota's DFL Attorney> General, just filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration to protect boys' rights to invade women's bathrooms and locker rooms. That means AG Ellison is either a pervert, a Trump hater or a Democrat or all 3. I'm betting it's all 3. Alpha News is reporting "Attorney General Keith Ellison launched a fedebral lawsuit against President Donald Trump designed to halt the Trump administration’s efforts to protect distinctions between men and women."

XY doesn't equal XX

In high school biology, we learned that males have 1 X chromosome and 1 Y chromosome. We learned that women have 2 X chromosomes. When biological males have surgery to look like females, they still retain their XY chromosome makeup. Further, some evil men say that they "identify" as women. That's all that's needed to give these biological males access to women's locker rooms and bathrooms. That's whether they've had gender-reassignment surgery or not.

Apparently, that's irrelevant to AG Ellison. Apparently, he's only intent on violating Title IX, which was passed to protect biological females.

The part of this testimony that jumps out is when the academic insists that men can't compete with the Williams sisters. Riley Gaines Immediately interrupted her, saying that "the 203rd-ranked male beat both of the Williams sisters. So much for females not being in harms' way.

If Democrats want to have a sex change when they're an adult, that's their business.

Much of the lawsuit hinges on the interpretation of Title IX. In short, the text of Title IX bans discrimination in education programs “on the basis of sex” and makes no reference to “gender identity.” However, Democrats have argued that men who identify as women are covered by the protections Title IX affords.

This might hinge on the Major ase Doctrine, which says that any major changes to existing bills must be done though legislation. It can't be done through lawsuits.

In his lawsuit, Ellison says the Trump administration is discriminating "on the basis of sex, in violation of Title IX, by requiring the recipients of federal funds to categorically ban all transgender women and girls from participating in sports that align with their gender identity."

Sex and gender identity aren't the same thing. As that academic testifying to Sen. Kennedy said, the 2 things are quite different. Title IX protects biological women, not biological males masquerading as females. Then there's this:

"Trump’s unconscionable attack on this small number of vulnerable children is bullying, plain and simple," said Ellison in a statement. "His burning desire to destroy trans kids and punish us for helping them live and thrive isn’t just a violation of the law—it’s a violation of Minnesota values."

Those might be Ellison's values but his values aren't mine or Minnesota's values.
