It isn't exactly surprising that the Biden administration blamed someone else for their actions. It isn't credible anymore to hear Joe Biden (or KJP) say that this administration is cooperating fully with law enforcement. When documents are found scattered Bidenworld offices or Bidenworld garages or Bidenworld libraries, people are justified in thinking that something foul is afoot. It's confusing (at best) when Biden's personal attorneys are allowed to sit through classified documents while the FBI is allowed to sit at home and enjoy their evening. The House DFL majority passed the PRO Act on Thursday by a 69-65 margin. This is being called the most extreme abortion bill in the United States. According to the article, "The bill is shorter than a page and doesn’t include any restrictions on when abortions can be performed , leaving those decisions to people and their health care providers. Republicans said the bill had no "guardrails," and that even abortion rights voters do not support abortions in the third trimester." If enacted, the PRO Act would be as radical as the abortion policies in Communist China and North Korea. The DFL is exceptionally ghoulish. "DFL legislators struck down Republican amendments to regulate abortion facilities, allow local governments to restrict abortion, ban abortions later in pregnancy and protect children who are born after a failed abortion." Frank Hornstein, the DFL chairman of the House Transportation Committee, hinted that a tax hike might be required to paper over a revenue shortfall in gas tax revenues. Hornstein stated that "In the specific transportation funds … those are lagging behind. So while the rest of the state budget has a surplus, we have a deficit in transportation." Two weeks ago, it was reported that the Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Fairfax County high school hadn't notified its students that they'd qualified for Merit Scholarships. Since then, it was discovered that 15 more high schools reported that they hadn't notified their students that they had won merit scholarships in time to include that on their college applications. Jason Miyares, Virginia's state Attorney General, "cited recent reports that the prestigious Virginia magnet school had withheld certificates from students who had been recognized as National Merit commended scholars, as well as the school's 2020 overhaul of its admissions process that substantially affected the number of Asian students admitted to the school." Doug Ducey became a hero amongst conservatives nationwide when he implemented a major expansion of Arizona's school choice program. This year, with Democrat Katie Hobbs as governor, she's trying to turn back the clock by reducing Arizona's school choice program. That's a major mistake. It'll cost more to run Hobb's program than it'd cost Arizona taxpayers if they kept Gov. Ducey's program intact.
