Sen. Schumer's selfish shutdown

Most times, I don't pay attention to government shutdowns. When Sen. Schumer shuts government down, though, I pay attention because he always misreads the people and the situation. That's the final diplomatic thing I'll say about Sen. Schumer's shutdown. Other than Sen. John Fetterman, the other Democrats have been stupid enough to trust Sen. Schumer's direction that's painted Democrats into a corner. That's what happens when you elect an idiot as your party's leader. It isn't just that Sen. Schumer shut the government down. It isn't just that Sen. Schumer's shutdown of the government is foolish. It's that Sen. Schumer's shutdown of the Department of Homeland Security, the TSA and the Coast Guard come at a time when the potential of Iran's sleeper cells is the highest it's been in 10+ years.

That's right. Sen. Schumer is putting us at risk when Iran's sleeper cells are most likely to hit. And for what is he putting us at risk? So that he can put pressure on President Trump so he can negotiate a provision that should never be taken seriously. Sen. Schumer wants to dox ICE agents. That's why he wants ICE agents' masks removed. Who cares if threats to ICE agents are the highest in history?

Schumer is worried:

Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer (NY) says Democrats are ready to fund some agencies under the Department of Homeland Security including FEMA, TSA, and CISA, but accuses Republicans of obstruction. Schumer addresses stalled ICE reform negotiations, saying, "We don’t have to tie that disagreement up and use people at the airports and American citizens as hostages." Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) responds, "I assume the Democrat leader is aware of the fact that we have tried repeatedly to fund everything temporarily to allow the negotiations over the ICE budget to continue?"
Sen. Schumer, why don't you put America first instead of playing politics? Frankly, the things that he's asking for are either in the House bill or will never be part of a bill. Watch how fixated Sen. Schumer is on demasking ICE agents:

If you listen carefully, you'll hear Sen. Schumer talk about funding ICE. He should be ashamed of himself. Thanks to the One Big Beautiful Bill, ICE is funded through 2029. Why would you unfund ICE, then negotiate a new ICE budget? A: Because he wants to dox ICE agents and their families. He can't do that with the current ICE budget.

Sen. Schumer should try being a patriot first instead of being a Democrat politician first. He's the personification of evil. Here's hoping he'll soon be replaced by a real human being.

Tim Walz doubling down on Gestapo speech

When Tim Walz, Minnesota's DFL governor, delivered the commencement address for the University of Minnesota Law school, he didn't deliver the typical commencement speech. He delivered a highly partisan speech instead. Gov. Walz compared "federal law enforcement agents implementing President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown to a Nazi-era political police force." He called ICE agents Gestapo. Let's compare the 2. The Gestapo's mission was to rid Germany of Jews. To the Gestapo, it didn't matter that these Jews were German citizens and had been decades.
