Unprecedented: Department of Human Services shuts down Housing Stabilization Services program

Image
If there's anything that's indisputable, it's that the bureaucrats working to prevent Medicaid fraud in "Minnesota’s Housing Stabilization Services (HSS) program" didn't detect "several organizations suspected of participating in a 'massive scheme to defraud' Minnesota’s Housing Stabilization Services (HSS) program, a program administered by DHS but funded by Medicaid." That's a First President Reagan once said that the closest thing we'll see to immortality here on earth is a government program. Without question, President Reagan is celebrating somewhere at this news. According to this report, "DHS Temporary Commissioner Shireen Gandhi announced that her agency will be terminating the HSS program entirely. In a letter sent to federal authorities, Gandhi requested assistance in ending the program." I didn't think I'd live long enough to see this day. Then again, "With God, all things are possible." Canada, France and the U.K. betray Israel

Image
Now that Canada, France and the U.K. have announced that they'll recognize the Palestinians' right to statehood, Hamas has tiptoed to the edge of ending negotiations with the West , especially ending them with Israel. Further, Democrats are threatening to cut off military supplies to Israel. Apparently, Democrats are pro-terrorist. What else would cause them to abandon Israel? Hamas didn't negotiate in good faith with Israel. They didn't even negotiate with them face-to-face. It negotiated through their Qatari intermediaries. Hamas always counted on France, U.K. and other western European wimps to produce this outcome. Now it's up to President to make Macron, Starmer and Carney pay for their rewarding terrorists. If President Trump doesn't force Canada, France and the U.K. to pay a price for their recognition of the Palestinians as a nation, then he will have lost the peace. The feeling within the government is that the talks are nearing collapse, an Israeli off...

More Minnesota Medicaid fraud details

Image
If it seems like new details about Minnesota's Medicaid fraud find their way into the news each day, that's because it isn't perception. It's reality. The Minnesota Reformer is reporting that "Minnesota first launched the program in 2020, estimating that it would cost $2.6 million per year. Claims exploded, however, reaching more than $104 million by 2024 , according to the search warrant affidavit." That type of expansion of the Housing Stabilization Services program, unfortunately, isn't surprising. The DFL often start programs off as inexpensive or downright cheap. Once the program is started, though, the program almost always gets real expensive real quick. This is just another example of that pattern. The Reformer is also reporting that "Dozens of housing stabilization providers were already being investigated in May, KARE 11 reported. Legislators increased requirements for housing stabilization agencies in response to fraud concerns, including...
