DFL takes another step towards DFL Mob Rule

Image
It's utterly apparent that DFL metro mayors don't care about the U.S. Constitution or the landmark rulings of the U.S. Supreme Court. It's apparent because KARE11 is reporting that "Nine mayors from some of Minnesota's largest cities stood together inside the Capitol on Tuesday asking state legislators to either ban assault weapons statewide, or repeal a 1985 law that prevents cities from regulating firearms at the local level. First, assault weapons bans are unconstitutional. This paragraph explains the underlying principal behind banning certain categories of weapons. It says "The handgun ban and the trigger-lock requirement (as applied to self-defense) violate the Second Amendment. The District’s total ban on handgun possession in the home amounts to a prohibition on an entire class of “arms” that Americans overwhelmingly choose for the lawful purpose of self-defense. Under any of the standards of scrutiny the Court has applied to enumerated constitution...

Tim Walz's special session deflection

Image
Since last Wednesday's deadly school/church shooting in south Minneapolis, it's been apparent that the DFL (and their Twin Cities media allies have sought to deflect from the fact that the shooter was a biological male who hated being trans. According to Scott Johnson's op-ed, which I wrote about here , Robin Westman "professed to 'regret being trans.'" Further, "He wished he 'had never brain-washed' himself." Today finds us with another distraction. This time, Tim Walz hopes to call a special session to deal with the DFL's go-to distraction, aka "gun violence." My Goals My primary goal is to change whichever statutes need changing so that students with mental health issues can get the help they need, not the help that's ideologically driven. My opther goal is provide support to Republicans so that they can fight for giving non-public schools the same resources (school resource officers, metal detectors, etc.) as are ma...

When will Donald Trump drop the hammer on Vladimir Putin?

Image
While I think Donald Trump deserves some credit for foreign policy, he's got a huge blind spot that he hasn't fixed. It's called Putin's Russia and it better get fixed or it'll become the biggest stain on President Trump's foreign policy legacy. He hates the killing from both sides. I'll accept that as his honest position. MacArthur ended WWII by unleashing the atom bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Critics said this wasn't a proportional response. That's true. It wasn't proportional. Regardless, WWII ended a few days later when Japan surrendered. Thanks to those bombs getting dropped, thousands of U.S. lives were saved. MacArthur was about protecting U.S. lives before Trump saved U.S. lives. Trump's repeatedly said that the war wouldn't have started if he'd been president. That's a statement of fact, IMO. It's utterly irrelevant, though. Trump inherited the Russia-Ukraine war. That makes it Trump's war whether he likes it o...

The DFL's Transgender Trap

Image
If you think that the DFL has a fatal flaw, you'd be right in my opinion. The truth is that the DFL has multiple fatal flaws. Chief amongst them is their unwavering belief in gun violence being the chief culprit for society's ills. It's the perfect solution to what's actually afflicting society, which is the opposite of what the DFL believes. After Robin Westman killed 2 children, ages 8 and 10, people started looking for a motive for Westman's shooting spree. While the DFL pretends not to know what the motive is, most Minnesotans know. The truth is that this was a troubled young man who hated Christians, President Trump and the Jewish people, though not in that order. Scott Johnson's op-ed for Alpha News highlights the flawed legal system in Minnesota. Scott wrote "Let’s look at the law, Minn. Stat. § 214.078, with the Westman case in mind. As it applies to minors, the Minnesota law bans therapy 'that seeks to change an individual’s sexual orientation...

Chicago, the safest big city in the Upper Midwest?

Image
If you're stupid enough to listen to J.B. Pritzker and Brandon Johnson, the rich liberal governor of Illinois and the union loyalist for the Chicago Teachers Union, respectively, you'd think that Chicago is the safest big city in the Upper Midwest. This Fox News article gives us proof that Chicago isn't safe whatsoever. It reports that "At least seven people have been killed and 37 others injured in shootings in Chicago this Labor Day weekend, even as the city's mayor vows to block President Donald Trump's efforts to combat crime." There's a populist uprising heading in Chicago's direction. Brandon Johnson and J.B. Pritzker aren't acting like they've noticed but it's coming. The thing I haven't figured out is why Pritzker and Johnson are this pig-headed. They should want to rid Chicago of crime. They should enthusiastically welcome the taking down of criminal cartels and rival gangs. That should be simple. Scenes like this are beco...

Mark Penn: Donald Trump gains traction on crime issue

Image
Mark Penn's lengthy tweet summarized the Harvard CAPS/Harris Poll . Penn is the co-director of the Harvard CAPS/Harris Poll. When he examined the poll results, he found that "Trump's ratings stabilized this month. And I think he began to get traction on crime. He’s now shifted focus from immigration to tariffs, and now to leading a national crackdown on crime, and you’re seeing a generally favorable response to it." It extends beyond that, though. Penn also said "Fifty-four percent approve of the president’s approach, using the National Guard in D.C. That's interesting. Any time I apply the word 'Trump,' it’s very hard to get above 50%. If I take his name off the policies, I get 60, 70, 75, even 80% support—for example, locking up criminals who are here illegally. But when you put his name, the country is so polarized that Democrats won’t concede a single inch." That isn't surprising. J.B. Pritzker, Illinois's Democrat governor, is one o...
