Tim Walz doubling down on Gestapo speech

When Tim Walz, Minnesota's DFL governor, delivered the commencement address for the University of Minnesota Law school, he didn't deliver the typical commencement speech. He delivered a highly partisan speech instead. Gov. Walz compared "federal law enforcement agents implementing President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown to a Nazi-era political police force." He called ICE agents Gestapo.

Let's compare the 2.

The Gestapo's mission was to rid Germany of Jews. To the Gestapo, it didn't matter that these Jews were German citizens and had been decades. Thanks to the Aryan Clauses, Jews were considered subhuman and weren't really Germans. That's an awfully racist viewpoint. Is Gov. Walz accusing law enforcement officers of being racists?

I.C.E.

I.C.E. agents enforce laws that bipartisan majorities in both houses of Congress have passed and that the president has signed. These immigration bills were negotiated between the 2 parties. The Aryan Clauses were dictated to Germans by Hitler. Negotiations didn't exist.

Check this out:

In his speech, Gov. Walz questions the integrity of law enforcement. Further, he insinuated that ICE had scooped up Americans and shipped off to foreign torture chambers. Wht proof does Gov. Walz have to substantiate that accusation? Or is this a baseless accusation?

Sunday morning, Gov. Walz sat down for an interview with Tom Hauser of KSTP, the ABC affiliate in the Twin Cities. Most of the interview dealt with the upcoming special legislative session but the final part dealt with Gov. Walz's Gestapo speech. Gov. Walz said he wasn't bcking down because he was worried about the rising tide of authorianism. That's odd because he wasn't worried about the erising tide of authoritarianism when he established a snitch line so neighbors could snitch on neighbors during the early days of the pandemic. He wasn't worried when he seized control of state government, then reused to relinquish that authority for over a year. That soundss a lot like authoritarianism, doesn't it?

Why This Matters

Apparently, Gov. Walz cn't differentiate betweeen secret police committed to committing genocide and law enforcement officers comitted to enforcing the laws of this nation. Gov. Walz is upset that President Trump has stopped the foreign invasion from across the globe. Further, Gov. Walz sees these illegal aliens as legal residents of Minnesota. That's why he's spent taxpayers' money to send illegal aliens to college tuition-free. That's why he's had 20,000+ illegal aliens sign up for taxpayer-funded health care. Are you ok with him taking your money to pay for these things while shortchanging law enforcement? If you aren't ok with it, don't vote DFL.

In reply to Hauser's question of whether he regrets using the term Gestapo, Walz said "It's the one that applies." What is this guy babbling about? Comparing genocidal monsters with law enforcement officers deporting criminal illegal aliens is like comparing Frisbee golf with a bass fishing tournament.

Each week, this guy does something to live up to his self-impooosed nickname of Knucklehead. This week, he outdid himself.
