Is Joe Biden trying to get U.S. into war?
He withheld weapons at the start of Ukraine's war with Russia that would've helped Ukraine push Russia out of Ukraine. Now, though, he's made policy changes that've escalated the Ukraine-Russia War to the point of starting WWIII.
Fox News is reporting "President Biden approved sending anti-personnel mines to Ukraine late Tuesday, a reversal of policy and yet another escalation in the conflict with Russia ahead of President-elect Trump's inauguration." Had Biden been interested in helping Ukraine drive Russia out of Ukraine, that would've been possible by sending F-16s to Poland in exchange for Poland sending Russian MiG-29s to Ukraine.
In the early days of the war, a column of Russian T-72 tanks made their war towards Kiev with the hope of toppling Ukraine's capitol. The closest it got was 44 miles from Kiev.
When I wrote this post, I wrote this:
Joe Biden is guided (misguided?) by conventional wisdom. When President Reagan called the former USSR an "evil empire", Democrats howled at the top of their lungs. 'You can't do that. You'll start WW3,' they said. President Reagan then put Pershing II missiles into western Europe. Apparently, he didn't worry about escalation.I also wrote that Russia isn't a superpower. They don't want war with NATO. Russia wants war with NATO like Iran wants a well-planned missile strike from Israel. It's obvious that Biden is hoping to distract President-Elect Trump while he's putting his cabinet together.WW3 didn't happen but the USSR did collapse. Predictably, conventional wisdom was wrong. Anyone that thinks that Putin will leave Ukraine without getting thrown out is foolish. Willfully agreeing to leave Ukraine isn't likely.
AFter watching this video, a single question arises:
Why didn't Biden give Ukraine the weaponry to eliminate Russia's military quickly? The Russian soldiers were untrained conscripts. Their tanks couldn't go offroad. Meanwhile, Ukraine's military was fighting to save their homeland. In a moment of clarity, Biden offered to get President Zelenskiy out of Ukraine. President Zelenskiy replied "I don't need transportation. I need ammunition." At the start of the war, Biden was as afraid of his shadow as Neville Chamberlain. Now that his time in office is almost over, he's as willing to throw caution to the wind as if he's Patton. What up with that?
