The Ilhan Omar-Omar Fateh-Hasan Piker Hatefest

People that didn't think that the Hasan Piker-Ilhan Omar-Omar Fateh get together would be a festival of hating the U.S.A. must've been braindead or worse. This Alpha News article captures the highlights (lowlights?) of the event. Alpha reports that "Piker accused Republicans of being 'terrorists' who are 'terrorizing our neighborhoods,' calling them 'the most un-American force in this country.'" That's pretty rich coming from a guy who was born in New Jersey but who grew up in Turkey, specifically in Istanbul and Ankara. What would he know about being an American? Further, he shared the stage with Ilhan Omar, aka Ilhan Nur Said Elmi and State Sen. Omar Fateh, a pair of Somali politicians who hate the U.S.A.

Alpha also reported that the DFL is badly divided, saying "Piker’s own history of inflammatory remarks — including that he would choose Hamas over Israel “every single time” and referred to Orthodox Jews as “inbred” — had already drawn sharp condemnation from prominent Minnesota Democrats and Jewish organizations. But the backlash did little to dampen the enthusiasm inside Theatre in the Round, where Piker joined Omar and state Sen. Omar Fateh for an evening of Trump-bashing, progressive organizing and rallying the Democratic base ahead of the Nov. 3 midterm elections." It wouldn't be a full-throated Piker aooearance without this type of diatribe:

If Operation Metro Surge had done as much damage as DFL spinmeisters have said, why is the DFLbringing in bombthrowers like Piker and Bernie Sanders? Why would Keith Ellison spend a week campaigning in Bemidji, Detroit Lakes, Fergus Falls and Moorhead? The DFL is fighting the DSA hard. This isn't the usual infighting. This is more like Hatfields vs. McCoys. Bill Melugin interviewed David Marcus for a Fox New Podcast. Check it out around the 4:00 mmark:

I've theorized for 2 months that Operation Metro Surge has dropped a little as an issue. According to David Marcus, a rally was held today to re-fire up the DFL base. I theorized a month+ ago that Keith Ellison campaigned in Bemidji, Detroit Lakes, Fergus Falls and Moorhead to make up the votes that he'd lost when Opeation Metro Surge went bust. More pieces of the puzzle appear to be dropping into place that the DFL's base is fractured.

The Ilhan-fest might hasten that fracturing. It couldn't happen to a more deserving bunch of jerks.
