Michele Tafoya, MPPOA join forces to stop gang violence

In late August, I wrote this article to highlight the fact that Michele Tafoya had gotten endorsed by the Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association, aka MPPOA. Today, Alpha News reports "Republican U.S. Senate candidate Michele Tafoya held a press conference on Tuesday and criticized Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan’s record on public safety as she unveiled a five-point plan aimed at gang violence in Minnesota."

According to Tafoya's press availability, she promised to do 5 things in her first 8 weeks as Minnesota's Senator. That starts, she said, with naming the problem. Next on Tafoya's priority list is to "disrupt gang activity online." Ms. Tafoya said that as Senator, she "will demand the FBI Cyber Division open a new threat assessment hub that is physically located in Minneapolis."

Then Ms. Tafoya said "Point Three, force Big Tech to do its part. Point 4, faster federal prosecutions. Part of this problem is that soft-on-crime local prosecutors, like Mary Moriarty, would rather give 4th, fifth, and even sixth chances to repeat offenders than protect innocent Minnesotans." From Tuesday's press availabilty:

Michele's tweet summarizing her gang violent proposal: You can't fix the problem if you won't name the problem. Lt. Gov. Flanagan won't admit that there's a problem.
It's time to fix this crisis. If you're ok with Somali gangs shooting up suburban homecoming games, vote Flanagan. If you're ok with radicalized Muslims shooting up the Mall of America, then you're likely ok with Flanagan. If you prefer homecoming games where the biggest excitement is a long TD run, VOTE Michele!
