It's time to challenge the DFL status quo
Other than Bill Clinton's welfare reform. Democrats have been the party of the failed status quo. Internationally, Democrats have been the advocates for detente with the USSR and the 2-state solution with the Palestinians. President Reagan finished detente with the USSR when he answered a reporter's question on his strategy towards the Soviets. He replied "Here's my strategy on the Cold War: we win, they lose." ― Ronald Reagan, U.S.S.R.-U.S.A. Summit, Moscow, May 29-June 2, 1988.
The Democrats' policy towards the Palestinian-Israeli dispute is to force Israelis to live side-by-side with Palestinians. In their charter, Palestinians vow to ELIMINATE the Jewish people. That's the definition of a suicidal policy. Why would Israel trust Democrats as allies?
Here in Minnesota, Esme Murphy interviewed Michele Tafoya, asking Michele Tafoya one gotcha question after another:
That's fine. Michele has handled those types of questions for 30 years. When Murphy interviewed Flanagan, the questions had a different tone: Murphy briefly asked about fraud, then moved on. Murphy let Flanagan talk about Operation Metro Surge. Compare that with Murphy not giving Tafoya the opportunity to lay out her vision/agenda. Why didn't Murphy treat both candidates the same?Medicaid fraud happened on Flanagan's watch. One question without a follow-up let Flanagan off too easy. The DFL has run Minnesota since 2011. Why didn't Murphy ask more questions about falling test scores, fraud and rising crime?
