Abigail Spanberger's big flop

After President Trump's Tuesday night's State of the Union Address, Virginia Gov. Abigail Scamberger Spanberger delivered the Democrats' response. She would've been better off taking the night off. After President Trump's triumphant Address, Spanberger asked some foolish questions. She asked "Is the President working to make life more affordable for you and your family? Is the President working to keep Americans safe — both at home and abroad? Is the President working for you?"

The honest answer to those questions is a) yes, b) yes and c) yes. President Trump's triumphant speech made Gov. Scamberger's speech irrelevant at best. At best, the Democrats could've hoped that Gov. Scamberger's speech would be forgotten. This year, they weren't that fortunate. President Trump has made life more affordable. Incomes are rising. Inflation is slowing. The One Big Beautiful Bill's tax cuts are kicking in. Takehome pay is increasing. In other words, President Trump's policies are increasing affordability.

Is the President working to keep Americans safe — both at home and abroad?

That's a honeheaded question. Venezuela is getting tamed. Operation Midnight Hammer took Iran's nuclear capability away. China is respecting the U.S. again.

Is the President working for you?

Crime is dropping. Taxes have been cut. The U.S.-Mexico border is shut. Over 2.600,000 illegal aliens have self-deported.

Other than that, things are going ok.

Tim Walz doubling down on Gestapo speech

When Tim Walz, Minnesota's DFL governor, delivered the commencement address for the University of Minnesota Law school, he didn't deliver the typical commencement speech. He delivered a highly partisan speech instead. Gov. Walz compared "federal law enforcement agents implementing President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown to a Nazi-era political police force." He called ICE agents Gestapo. Let's compare the 2. The Gestapo's mission was to rid Germany of Jews. To the Gestapo, it didn't matter that these Jews were German citizens and had been decades. Thanks to the Aryan Clauses, Jews were considered subhuman and weren't really Germans. That's an awfully racist viewpoint. Is Gov. Walz accusing law enforcement officers of being racists? I.C.E.
