Minneapolis Somalis play the race card

In November of 2017, Somalis joined with CAIR-MN in calling then-St. Cloud City Councilman Jeff Johnson "a racist, an Islamophobe and xenophobe." Further, they made threats against Jeff to the point that he required police protection.
I find it rather ironic that Minneapolis Somalis are playing the racist card. According to the article, Minneapolis Councilman Jamal Osman, who is of Somali descent, told ABC News that "This is not the America that I imagine. What we're seeing is not just politics; it's dangerous."

Tell that to Jeff Johnson. When then-Councilman Jeff proposed a pause in primary refugee resettlement to St. Cloud, CAIR-MN's Jaylani Hussein joined with #Unite Cloud's Nathalie Ringsmuth in criticizing then-Councilman Jeff, calling Jeff virtually every name in the book and likely a couple other names that aren't in any books. Jodi Harpstead, then the head of Lutheran Social Services, charged him after a rather tense City Coundil meeting.

Through it all, Jeff maintained his composure. Now, he's running for governor. Jeff recently sat down for an interview with Michele Tafoya, where Jeff briefly talked about the clash:

Though the temporary pause wasn't granted, Lutheran Social Services eventually relented. Eventually, Jeff was let into the quarterly planning meetings as the Refugee Resettlement Act of 1980 requires. SPECIAL NOTE: Ted Kennedy was chief author of the bill.
"[I] never knew there will be a day that you have to show your legal document in the United States [because you look Somali]," Osman said to ABC News on Wednesday. "But the reality is people are not leaving home without their passport."

ICE said on Thursday that agents had arrested 12 people in its Minnesota enforcement operation, the Associated Press reported. Of those, six are Mexican nationals, five are from Somalia and one is from El Salvador, according to the news gathering service.

Councilman Osman was dismayed that there was "a day that you have to show your legal document in the United States [because you look Somali]." The fact that 6 people that were arrestd "are Mexican nationals" one s from El Salvador and 5 are Somalis says that Councilman Osman has quite the imagination.

Proof that Tim Walz doesn't care about fraud or other crime

Anyone that thinks that Tim Walz, Minnesota's DFL governor, doesn't care about preventing crime or fraud hasn't read this article . Alpha News is reporting that "The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) has confirmed that Dylan Adams, the fiscal policy analyst caught on video vandalizing Teslas in Minneapolis, is still employed by the state — meaning Minnesota taxpayers are footing the bill for his salary. In response to Alpha News inquiries, a DHS spokesperson said: "Dylan Adams is a current employee." Apparently, the Walz administration doesn't care that it's employing a vandal in its Department of Human Services. As for whether Adams "has faced consequences for racking up more than $21,000 in damage during work hours , the agency offered little transparency.
