Matt Slater, AOC and Zohran Mamdani
After AOC got into a Twitter fight with President Trump, AOC replied "Also, I’m a Bronx girl. You should know that we can eat Queens boys for breakfast. Respectfully." That's when Slater entered the fight. In his tweet, Slater questioned AOC, asking her "@AOC, if you're a BX girl then why are you in my Yorktown yearbook? Give it up already."
There you have it. AOC caught lying. I don't think it's the first time she's gotten caught. After Assemblyman Slater's dust-up with AOC, Slater was invited onto Fox & Friends First, where he was interviewed by Carly Shimkus. During the Shimkus interview, Slater took a shot at Assemblyman Mamdani:
Shimkus noted in the interview that Slater serves with Mamdani. Then she asked Slater what he's like. Slater immediately replied "Dangerously unqualified." While Mamdani has issued lots of 'solutions', most of Mamdani's solutions don't work. That's why I've called him a snake oil salesman.Let's be clear about this. There isn't enough money in the world to pay for his agenda on a sustained basis. Further, like all socialists-in-good-standing, Mamdani wants to tax the rich. That means he'll chase 'the rich' out of NY. As Reagan once famously said, 'You can't be pro-employment if you hate employers.'
Without entrepreneurs, who's gonna hire people? Without emplpoyers, who'll pay the taxes that pay for these wonderful-sounding programs? Margaret Thatcher once famously said that the problem with socialism is that, sooner rather than later, you run out of other people's money to spend.
New Yorkers shouldn't pay attention to whether Mamdani runs a good campaign or whether AOC endorsed him. New Yorkers should reject him because his policies don't work. This experiment in socialism is guaranteed to fail. The 'free stuff' sounds great until it;s time to pay for it. It's like having a credit card and running up a big bill on it. It's only fun until the bill comes at the end of the month. By then, it's too late to return all the things you bought.
