Kendall Qualls vs. Tim Walz?
This weekend, a frequent reader of this blog and a political operative, informed me that, despite all the disastrous press Gov. Walz has received, especially this past week, Gov. Walz still gathers 48%-49% approvaal rating. That's surprising considering how awful he's performed since July. I'd be surprised if he would've earned 39%-40% at this point.
Nonetheless, the article quotes Qualls as saying "I don’t need to tell you that Minnesota is at a crossroads. Tim Walz took us further down the road of lost jobs, fleeing companies, rising crime and cratering education. Now, he’s spending more time outside the state on a vanity tour than he is trying to move Minnesota forward. That’s not leadership." Then Qualls said this:
I’m the only candidate who can help Minnesota live up to its potential. If we are going to fix the budget Tim Walz broke, we need a proven leader with real-world business experience. If we are going to take back our streets and our classrooms, we need a candidate with a conservative backbone and law and order credentials.I won't speak ill of Mr. Qualls. Instead, I'll introduce you to Jeff Johnson, former St. Cloud citycouncilman and currently a GOP candidate for Governor. Jeff is a serious candidate with impressive credentials. First, check out Jeff's website. Next, check out some of Jeff's impressive credentials:
As an engaged parent with his children's school, he served as a full time teacher who taught middle and high school students. He volunteers time each week at the school. Jeff also volunteered as a teacher for the Youth Initiative Mentoring Academy (YIMA) in partnership with the Diversity Foundation.Jeff isn't bashful about fighting for women's rights through Title IX:When I first met Jeff in 2006, the first things I noticed were that he's a) a natural-born leader and b) a man of integrity. If he makes a promise, he'll keep that promise. At this point, Republicans have 2 outstanding announced candidates. By contrast, the DFL has Gov. Knucklehead (his own term): That nickname is fitting for Walz.PROFESSIONAL & ENTREPRENEURIAL EXPERIENCE
Jeff is an inventor, former professional pilot, MS/HS/college experienced educator, and former business owner. He was previously employed as an airline ground instructor, airline & general aviation mechanic, corporate jet pilot, and a regional airline pilot. He is also an entrepreneur and received his first patent from the U.S Patent & Trademark Office in November 2015. Soon thereafter in March 2016, Jeff participated in the Inventor's Review (similar to Shark Tank) at the International Home & Housewares convention in Chicago.
