CBS poll says Donald Trump is popular
Further, if that person had told you that President-Elect Trump survived a pair of assassination attempts, then swept all of the battleground states on his way to winning the popular vote while cruising to an easy electoral vote victory, you might've talked this fortunate fellow into another bet.
Not only did President-Elect Trump accomplish these things but he's heading back to the White House with a mandate to fix the things that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris broke. Finally, check out this article.
If you voted for the Trump-J.D. Vance ticket, you've likely been smiling since Nov. 5, perhaps longer. The article opens by saying "President-elect Donald Trump's incoming administration starts off with mostly good will from the public: a majority of Americans overall are either happy or at least satisfied that he won and are either excited or optimistic about what he'll do as president." The good news doesn't stop there. The report continues like this:
Trump's handling of his presidential transition gets approval from most Americans overall and brings near-universal approval from his voters, along with a net-positive response about his selections for Cabinet posts, in particular, Sen. Marco Rubio, who is Trump's pick to be secretary of state.Apparently, House Democrat Leader Hakeem Jeffries still hasn't switched away from the Democrats' hymnal that helped them get swept in the last election. Check this tired speech out: Here's hoping that Democrats keep pushing that agenda. I'm not saying I want Social Security and Medicare go broke. That isn't what Republicans think. That's just one of the Democrats' lies that they trot out once every 2 years. It's tiome for them to retire that line. It hasn't been true since before the Reagan administration. After inflation and the economy so dominated the election, Americans are more inclined to think his administration will bring down prices for food and groceries rather than raise them, and his voters overwhelmingly say that. Going into the election, his backers expected that, too.
This pair of tables aren't good news for Mr. Jeffries:
This isn't the position Democrats want to start from. They just spent the last 3+ months telling America that Trump was virtually the devil incarnate. The people didn't buy that. This is why President-Elect Trump is popular: People are forgetting the 'mean tweets' version of Trump. They're getting to know this chatty, semi-conversational Trump. The other thing that people will like about this Trump is that President-Elect Trump is putting a great team together. This will be a competent Cabinet, especially the national security team and the economic team. Get used to cheaper gas prices, cheaper home heating bills, safer neighborhoods and a secure border.Joe Biden is doing his best to mess things up, especially with Ukraine and Russia. Biden broke it. Trump will fix it.
