Jonathan Turley vs. anti-democracy Democrats

Jonathan Turley is a man on a mission. He's putting out the message that he isn't sitting idly by while anti-democracy Democrats insist try removing currently elected Republicans from the ballot for using the constitutional process for challenging presidential election results. Prof. Turley's article is filled with examples of Democrats acting like autocrats.

For instance, Prof. Turley writes "As the decisions disqualifying former President Donald Trump from the 2024 election work their way through the courts, a new filing in Pennsylvania seeks the same 'ballot cleansing' by barring Republican Rep. Scott Perry. It’s only the latest effort targeting congressional candidates as Democrats seek to bar opponents as 'insurrectionists' for questioning the election of President Biden."

While Prof. Turley wrote his article, Joe Biden delivered a dishonest, divisive, demagogic speech in Valley Forge, PA. In his speech, Biden said "Today, we’re here to answer the most important of questions. Is democracy still America’s sacred cause? I mean it. This is not rhetorical, academic or hypothetical. Whether democracy is still America’s sacred cause is the most urgent question of our time."

The question isn't whether democracy is America's "sacred cause." The U.S. isn't a democracy. It's a constitutional republic. Democracies almost always turn into nations that rule by mob rules.

Constitutional republics, especially in these United States, have a Constitution that limits government, not people. The U.S. Constitution contains a Bill of Rights, which speaks clearly which God-given rights we have. Because these rights are God-given, tyrants like Joe Biden, Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-NJ), Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO), Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Jamaal Bowman and Ritchie Torres, (D-NY) and "Squad" members Ilhan Omar of Minnesota and Rashida Tlaib can't take them away. That doesn't mean they won't try. According to Prof. Turley's article highlights that these anti-democracy Democrats sought "to disqualify members" through legislation that gathered almost 200 co-sponsors. This president speaks of saving democracy while attempting to use the Constitution to strip an opposing candidate of their right to oppose him. That isn't defending democracy. That's attempting to delegitimize democracy. Joe Biden's heart isn't into protecting democracy.

Biden's heart is into stripping his opponents of their God-given rights to oppose him. The proof? Joe Biden declared Donald Trump an insurrectionist. Forget due process (Sixth Amendment) rights. Forget the presumption of innocence. In Joe Biden's America, those right are granted to Democrats, not MAGA Republicans.

Likewise, Democrats haven't hesitated in attempting to strip Scott Perry of his right to run for re-election. There's ample proof that today's Democrats are anti-democracy. For that reason alone, they should lose their seats. Finally, there's this:

Democrats and pundits have claimed civil libertarians and journalists who have testified against the government’s growing censorship efforts are enablers of insurrectionists and even "Putin lovers." These Democratic members and activists vividly demonstrated the dangerous implications of this unfounded theory.

Figures like Stilp are wrong on the law but right about one thing: There are few real limits once you embrace this theory. If the challenges work, there is no reason they can’t be used unilaterally against any candidate (and without any criminal charges, let alone convictions).

Any Supreme Court justice that votes with Colorado's Supreme Court will have their reputation tarnished for a generation. They should be considered partisan hacks wearing black robes.
