Border report, Venezuela edition

On live TV Monday, Fox News videotaped a group of illegal immigrants coming across the Rio Grande River near Del Rio, TX. All 52 people captured were from Venezuela. The video proves that Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas lied last week when he said "The border remains closed and as a part of our all-of-government approach, we are not only addressing the challenges of the unaccompanied minors, pursuant to the law, but also the challenges of every other element, including the human smuggling organizations that exploit vulnerable children." That's a pair of bald-faced lies. First, the border isn't closed when 52 Venezuelans cross the Rio Grande on Monday and another 46 Venezuelans cross on Sunday. Harris Faulkner essentially gave a play-by-play of Monday's crossing, saying "You see the steady stream of people coming across the border with Mexico entering our nation without going through a legal checkpoint, without any of those things. You don't see them being COVID tested right there, right?" She continued, saying:
"Just moments ago there appeared to be an elderly gentleman they were helping out of the river. Some have camping gear so they can spend the night and do what they need to do. This is a heavy stream of people. A lot of children in the group that we are seeing now, too. Women and children in this group. Looks like that woman is praying as she comes across. We have seen instances where our Border Patrol have had to get engaged to save people. That water is moving."
This is Bill Melugin's report from Monday afternoon: If that's Secretary Mayorkas' definition of closed, then he needs a dictionary. If Secretary Mayorkas is just following Joe Biden's orders, he should resign instead rather than lie to the American people like that. 4 minutes into this video, Katie Pavlich exposes the cartel: In broad daylight, the cartel shuttles people across the Rio Grande. That's what fearless looks like. Why should the cartels worry? It isn't like the Biden administration will arrest them.
