Why Republicans, myself included, lost

Let the fingerpointing and infighting start. We lost bigtime. Let's start the fingerpointing with President Trump. Before we get into the fingerpointing, it's essential to thank him for his tireless campaigning. That said, he started the Iran war. We didn't have a choice on starting the hostilities. However, we had choices in how we prosecuted (and won) the war. Eliminating the theocrats and their protecters was required. President Trump failed with that. Instead, he bombed them, then signed the infamous MOU. He had a partner in that disaster -- VP J.D Vance. Vance published this tweet, which is utterly disloyal to President Trump.

VP Vance wrote "In his polling, he saw that a lot of Trump 2024 voters were angry and planning to vote for Democrats. He asked those voters who had abandoned us what would cause them to come back on our team. The top four answers, accounting for nearly all of the responses were:

  1. End the war
  2. Focus on cost of living/inflation
  3. Put America First
  4. Change our relationship to Israel.
If President Trump ended the Iran war, which they started 47 years ago today, Iran would get a nuclear weapon. Is V.P. J.D. Vance ok with Iran choking off the Strait of Hormuz and spiking gas prices whenever they felt like it? If he's ok with that, he's failed the most important test of his potential presidential campaign, aka the commander-in-chief test.
Our voters showed up. And the above four reasons are why many of them voted for Democrats. This is according to a pollster who nailed the results. While many spent Monday attacking Rachel Campos Duffy for calling for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict, it turns out her political advice was sound.
What type of idiot thinks that Iran will keep any agreement that they sign? Do you live down the street from Alice in Wonderland? That's disqualifying by itself. He's too gullible to keep the U.S. safe. Check this out:

If you'd like to argue it was worth it, that losing the Senate for the next 6 years was worth it, then do so. Argue it was a worthwhile cost to pay. Agree or disagree, that's at least honest.
Let's have at, Vice President Vance. If you think that sitting aside while Iran rebuilds their nuclear weapons program is wise, declare it to the world. If you think that being held hostage by Iran is good for U.S. national security, tell us that. Then kiss your political career goodbye.

The list of GOP frontrunners for the White House doesn't include J.D. Vance's name. This is the GOP short list: Marco Rubio and Ron DeSantis.
