What is the DFL selling?

I had to do a doublecheck when I read Ed Morrissey's article for HotAir. Next, I'm stepping outside to see if any pigs are flying in V-formation over the house. That's how strange Ed's article is to a lifelong Minnesotan. Ed wrote "Inject this directly into my veins. If it’s true, that is. I wonder whether Democrats relied on Wedgewood Polling for Minnesota’s Senate race. Perhaps they just relied on the last twenty years of electoral history to conclude that they didn’t need ad space in the last two weeks before the election. Regardless of the reason, it appears that Senate Democrats have decided to let Peggy Flanagan fly solo against GOP nominee Michele Tafoya, but the NRSC has decided to double down on the Senate race (via Twitchy): Ed, your eyes aren't playing tricks on you. Michele will defeat Peggy Fraudigan early in the morning of Nov. 4, 2026. The consensus is that Republicans aren't answering pollsters' calls like never before. Since mid-January, I've wondered if Minnesota would experience a perfect political storm. When the fraud scandal broke, people throughout Minnesota wondered how big the scandal would get. Now we know.

Momentum is building on the MNGOP side, too. Between the gunfight at the Eden Prairie High School Homecoming Game, the shooting at Edina's outdoor basketball court, the thwarted ISIS terrorist attack at the MOA in Bloomington, people are questioning the Democrats' ability to keep them safe, Couple those things with St. Paul MAyor Kaohly Her's alleged improper sexual touching of the St. Paul Police Chief:

and the FBI serving of a warrant at Ilhan Omar's DC home and people are questioning of the DFL's character.

Finish it off with the Oct. 26 event featuring Ilhan Omar, State Sen. Omar Fateh, aka the Midwest Mamdani, and Hasan Piker. Even Angie Craig criticized the event. Put all those things together and it hasn't been a good election season for the DFL.

Thus far, the DFL's campaign has come down to 'Orange Man Bad', tariffs and affordability. That won't get it done.
