KSTP to host debates tonight; will DFL show their privilege?

It's pretty obvious that the DFL's major statewide candidates won't strike fear in people's hearts when it comes to debating. Let's be undiplomatic about tonight's scheduled KSTP debates. KSTP reports that "Next Friday, Oct. 2, 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS will host primetime statewide debates focused on the races for Governor, Senate, and Attorney General. Invitations were sent out after the primaries, and 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS continues to speak with the campaigns. So far, Lisa Demuth, Michele Tafoya and Ron Schutz have confirmed plans to appear."

Confident candidates can't wait to debate their opponents. In 2024, President Trump couldn't wait to debate Joe Biden. That turned into the biggest debate bloodbath in political history, even surpassing Reagan's thumping of Jimmy Carter. Then, too, Carter still had a functioning brain. Biden didn't. But I digress.

There's a strategy to the DFL's skipping of debates. Klobuchar is the only DFL candidate who's accepted the invitation to debate her opponent on TV. That debate isn't until Wed., Oct. 21. By then, most of the early voting will have happened. The DFL candidates who've 'applied' for job promotions have told We The People that their DFL Privilege entitles them to the promotion without appearing for the job interview. That's the worst type of privilege. Getting promotions that you haven't worked for or, for that matter, earned is entitlement inbold letters.

We The People have the right to intervene in this matter. Personally, I won't vote for candidates that feel that they're ENTITLED to a promotion without appearing for the job interview? Larry Jacobs has a jaded pperspective on debates:

Larry Jacobs of the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota says the reluctance to debate is all part of a calculated attempt to avoid tough questions and potential mistakes. He says each debate decision comes down to one thing: "Strategy. Who is it going to help. Who is it going to hurt?"
That's spoken like a member of the establishment. Look at the disfunctional government we've had for the past 8 years. We've been 'blessed' with billions of dollars of fraud, a failing education system, companies leaving Minnesota and a bleak economic future:

If the DFL doesn't change to a capitalist prty, little will be left of the party that Hubert Humphrey built.
