Keith Ellison's affordability schtick

It must be time for this year's closing arguments before this year's midterm elections. The safest way to tell is to check DFL AG Keith Ellison's public events schedule. This is what makes Bill Glahn's article about Keith Ellison's grandstanding at "the state Public Utilities Commission (PUC) bemoaning high prices." Because we're talking utilities, the PUC sets those rates based on the cost of creating that electricity. The cost of generating electricity has been climbing since the DFL Trifecta passed its version of the Green New Scam.

DFL Gov. Tim Walz and the DFL majorities in the Minnesota Senate and House passed the Blackout Bill in February or March of 2023. The goal of the Blackout Bill is to eventually eliminate electricity that has a carbon footprint. Minnesota's rising electricity prices have everything to do with DFL ideology. It'd be odd to hear DFL AG Ellison playing watchdog on the DFL's policies. It isn't a stretch to think that Ellison's appearance as performative, not substantive.

That’s Ellison seated at the far right. Our man Darren Nelson was in attendance and took the above photo. He reports that Ellison arrived, delivered his cameo performance, and quickly departed.

Ellison is running for a third term as state Attorney General. He has places to go, voters to persuade.

Think about this a minute because it's important. Apparently, AG Ellison will play the con man if that's what it takes to win an election. Is that the type of character we want in our AG? I'd rather vote for a man of integrity and gravitas like Ron Schutz than vote for a con man like AG Ellison. From AG Ellison's PUC speech
Under Minnesota state law, the Attorney General’s Office is “responsible for representing and furthering the interests of residential and small business utility consumers through participation in matters before the Public Utilities Commission involving utility rates and adequacy of utility services to residential or small business utility consumers.” The Residential Utilities Division of the Office fulfills this function on a daily basis. It is in this role that the Commission invited Attorney General Ellison to speak today.
The PUC essentially Ellison's performative speech. The higher electric bills aew the direct result of DFL climate change ideology. Period. This isn't about utility companies gouging customers. It's about the DFL's expensive policies.
