Exposing Amy Klobuchar's fraud-fighting myths

Wednesday morning, Minnesota House Speaker Lisa Demuth held a press availability to essentially expose U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar's work to stop fraud in Minnesota. Specifically, it was held to highlight what wasn't done to prevent the Feeding Our Future fraud and the various types of Medicaid fraud. According to this WDAY article, "Minnesota House Speaker and gubernatorial candidate Lisa Demuth sharply criticized Sen. Amy Klobuchar’s oversight record on state fraud issues during a press conference held eight days before the Nov. 3 election, according to an Oct. 26, 2026 campaign press release titled 'Lisa Demuth exposes Klobuchar’s abysmal, non-existent record of fighting fraud.'"

Speaker Demuth has a strong case to prosecute. Sen. Klobuchar's record is more a case of what she SAID than what she did.

Speaker Demuth said that "Klobuchar released 1,085 press releases between the initial federal raids and arrests in 2022 and the conclusion of 2025 without once addressing the theft of public taxpayer funds." That isn't a history of fearlessly fighting fraud. That's a history of dodging fraud oversight. The first 6+ minutes of this press conference were all that I could take:

Lisa brought the receipts that PROVE that Sen. Klobuchar is all hat and no cattle. Sen. Klobuchar won't fight for Minnesotans. She'll fight for Amy's reputation. Period. Those are some serious receipts. More importantly, they're irrefutable. Sen. Klobuchar talks a semi-decent game but she's a do-nothing career politician. She's the opposite of Lisa Demuth. That's because Speaker Demuth is a leader, not a talker.
