DFL tries hiding shooters' Somali ties
Thankfully, Gov. Walz is all over this:🚨 BREAKING: The Eden Prairie Police Department officially confirms that last night’s shooting was gang related.

These Somali gangs are out of control.
It’s time to vote in new leadership that will actually work to keep Minnesotans safe. pic.twitter.com/GgtAwKcHPB
So is Sen. Klobuchar:State officials are assisting local authorities to find those responsible after a shooting outside the Eden Prairie football game.

No homecoming, in any community, should be disrupted by gun violence. Minnesotans are keeping students and families in our thoughts tonight.
Sen. Klobuchar apparently has forgotten when she wanted to import Somali refugees:Violence like the shooting last night in Eden Prairie is completely unacceptable. Parents shouldn’t have to worry about their kids’ safety when they go to a homecoming game and as a former prosecutor, I know how critical it is to support law enforcement and take action to protect Minnesotans from violence.

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) issued the statement below on the extension and re-designation of Somalia for Temporary Protected Status (TPS):This is typical Klobuchar. In her tweet the morning after this weekend's shooting, she said (in part) "Parents shouldn’t have to worry about their kids’ safety when they go to a homecoming game and as a former prosecutor, I know how critical it is to support law enforcement and take action to protect Minnesotans from violence." Earlier in her Senate career, she said "Somali refugees come to the U.S. legally and form a vital part of Minnesota's workforce in schools, airports, and elder care.""Minnesota is home to the largest Somali community in the country and has a tradition of opening its doors to immigrants from all over the world. I welcome this re-designation of Somalia for TPS, which will allow Somali people in Minnesota and across the United States to continue living, working, and succeeding in our country. As an early supporter of the legislation to provide these immigrants with a pathway to citizenship, I will continue to fight for reform to our immigration system."
Somalis have had protected status in the United States since President George H.W. Bush first approved TPS for Somalia in response to its civil war in 1991. That status has been extended more than 20 times under presidents from both parties. Conditions in Somalia remain dire, and armed conflict continues to be a threat to the Somali people. In addition to these security risks, natural disasters and disease outbreaks have compromised millions of Somalis’ access to food, and poverty and famine remain widespread.
Sen. Klobuchar is a proponent for bringing in Somali refugees:
Minnesota is home to the largest Somali community in the country and has a tradition of opening its doors to immigrants from all over the world. I welcome this re-designation of Somalia for TPS, which will allow Somali people in Minnesota and across the United States to continue living, working, and succeeding in our country. As an early supporter of the legislation to provide these immigrants with a pathway to citizenship, I will continue to fight for reform to our immigration system. That statement was dated July 19, 2021. Klobuchar is nothingif not consistent on this subject:
July 19, 2018Our nation's strength comes from hard-working, law-abiding people who agree to work towards forming a more perfect union. The Somali gangs who shot those kids attending the Eden Prairie High School Homecoming game aren't interested in forming a more perfect union. They're interested in terrorizing students, parents and faculty. We KNOW this because that's what they did Friday night."The Somali community in Minnesota—the largest in the country— has contributed so much to the cultural and economic vitality of our state. Conditions in Somalia remain dire, and the Administration recognized this and extended Temporary Protected Status for Somalia,” Klobuchar said. “I’ve always believed that our country’s strength comes from the diversity of our people. Somali people in Minnesota and across the U.S. deserve to continue living, working, and succeeding here, as they have for decades.”
Electing Sen. Klobuchar as governor simply means that more of these shootings will happen. Do you want to settle for a managed decline for Minnesota? That's what the Walz administration has been. That's what a Klobuchar administration would be. Sen. Klobuchar wants new voters, not people committed to forming a more perfect union. PERIOD!
