Amy Klobuchar didn't prioritize public safety

It's obvious to people with brains that Sen. Amy Klobuchar isn't prepared to protect Minnesotans. According to this Alpha News article, MN GOP Chairman Alex Plechash is frequently quoted as being harsh on Sen. Klobuchar on the issue of public safety. For instance, Chairman Plechash said "Public safety is the first responsibility of government. Yet Amy Klobuchar’s campaign website does not list it among her stated priorities. That omission speaks volumes." That's foolish. Hoq do protect the public without hiring police officers or buying ammunition or protective gear. That's a little short-sighted.

Here are Sen. Klobuchar's priorities:

  1. Lower Costs for Minnesotans
  2. Make Government Accountable and Root out Fraud
  3. Prepare Minnesota’s Workforce for the Future
  4. Expand Minnesota’s Rural and Agricultural Economy
  5. Support Conservation and Outdoor Recreation
It's a little short-sighted to pay exclusive attention to pocketbook issues. Ignoring Somali gang violence, whether it's in Minneapolis, Edina, Eden Prairie or Bloomington isn't short-sighted. It's foolish. According to this report, Klobuchar's public safety plan is essentially an assault weapons ban:

We shouldn't trust people who don't take gang violence seriously. Amy Klobuchar hasn't taken public safety seriously, even when she was the Hennepin County Attorney. While Klobuchar's plan is detailed, the tell is that she didn't even list public safety as a "top 5 pr0iority on her campaign website." There's a saying that says "don't tell me what your priorities are. Show me your budget and I'll tell you what your priorities are." If Sen. Klobuchar STATES what her priorities are and public safety isn't listed, believe them the first time. PERIOD!
