Will Lucy Rehm lose a tight race?

In 2022, DFL Rep. Lucy Rehm defeated Greg Boe by 417 votes. In 2024, Rehm defeated Caleb Steffenhagen by 225 votes.
This year, Rehm faces a rematch with Steffenhagen. Further, a friend of mine who used to live in CD-2 told me that Chaska and Chanhassen are usually reliable red. That means, I hope, that Rehm is living on borrowed time. According to Steve Schier, Professor Emeritus at Carleton College, fighting fraud is the top issue in Minnesota:

Finally, "Rehm opposed removing illegal aliens from a state healthcare program and voted against keeping males out of female sports." I won't be diplomatic. That's just foolish. That's disrespectful to taxpayers. Just for that alone, she deserves to lose.

Proof that Tim Walz doesn't care about fraud or other crime

Anyone that thinks that Tim Walz, Minnesota's DFL governor, doesn't care about preventing crime or fraud hasn't read this article . Alpha News is reporting that "The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) has confirmed that Dylan Adams, the fiscal policy analyst caught on video vandalizing Teslas in Minneapolis, is still employed by the state — meaning Minnesota taxpayers are footing the bill for his salary. In response to Alpha News inquiries, a DHS spokesperson said: "Dylan Adams is a current employee." Apparently, the Walz administration doesn't care that it's employing a vandal in its Department of Human Services. As for whether Adams "has faced consequences for racking up more than $21,000 in damage during work hours , the agency offered little transparency.
