Will Amy Klobuchar, Peggy Flanagan and Keith Ellison debate?

On Friday, Oct. 2, KSTP will host primetime statewide debates for the GOP and DFL candidates for governor, U.S. Senator and Minnesota AG. The GOP candidates for those offices have accepted KSTP's invitation. Lisa Demuth, the GOP's gubernatorial candidate, has proposed debating Amy Klobuchar 5 times, including the KSTP-hosted debate plus debates on Almanac, Fox9 News, the Duluth News Tribune/Duluth Chammber debate, and the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce-hosted debate.

Klobuchar has agreed to the KSTP-hosted debate plus a debate on Minnesota Public Radio, aka MPR. There's a method to Klobuchar's strategy. She's avoiding the Irom Range debate and the business-related debates. Does that mean that she sees economic-related issues and Range-related issues as issues to be avoided? It sounds to me that Sen. Klobuchar sees herself as a flawed candidate who needs to limit her exposure without looking defensive.

Speaker Demuth isn't just pushing debates. She's using them to attack Klobuchar, tweeting this: Keith Ellison might've decided that he's underwater in the polls so his lying won't work this time. Here's a classic example of Keith lying his ass off: The government shutdowns, the 2 longest in U.S. history, happened months AFTER President Trump signed the One Big Beautiful Bill into law on July 4, 2025. The then-longest government shutdown ended in Nov., 2025. When that CR's spending ended, itstarted the now-longest government shutdown, which lasted 73 days. That ended in 2026, long after Trump signed the OBBB. Keith Ellison needs to stop telling whoppers.

Finally, there's Peggy Flanagan. I can't picture her debating Michele Tafoya. Tafoya is one of the best political communicators in the GOP. Flanagan, on the other hand, isn't much of a communicator. I'm reminded of a phrase when thinking of Flanagan.That saying is better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than open it and remove all doubt. I just read @PeggyFlanagan's posts. I didn't find a single thing that told me she's smart enough to be a U.S. senator. That's a disqualifier. This is a disqualifier, too:

In this video, Keith Ellison said that if you don't vote for him, you're either a bigot or a racist. Is that a man seeking justice? Is it a man that's mostly interested in retribution?

Will Sen. Klobuchar accept a full slate of debates or will she hide? Will Keith Ellison and Peggy Flanagan hide? with Lisa Demuth, Michele Tafoya and Ron Schutz, we've gotten the answer. Demuth, Schutz and Tafoya aren't afraid of debating.

Proof that Tim Walz doesn't care about fraud or other crime

Anyone that thinks that Tim Walz, Minnesota's DFL governor, doesn't care about preventing crime or fraud hasn't read this article . Alpha News is reporting that "The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) has confirmed that Dylan Adams, the fiscal policy analyst caught on video vandalizing Teslas in Minneapolis, is still employed by the state — meaning Minnesota taxpayers are footing the bill for his salary. In response to Alpha News inquiries, a DHS spokesperson said: "Dylan Adams is a current employee." Apparently, the Walz administration doesn't care that it's employing a vandal in its Department of Human Services. As for whether Adams "has faced consequences for racking up more than $21,000 in damage during work hours , the agency offered little transparency.
